man I'm sorry Berenice I forgot to bot you. :( if you are able to post again before tonight. that's when I have been doing my DM postings around 8-10 CST. I am trying to stick to a expected schedule for my DMing.
Man. I would love to go to any of the CON's or see any of that awesome stuff. my wife is a non-nerd. I actually didn't tell her I played dnd till a week before our wedding. I always had all my dnd stuff in the trunk of my car. (she was a model and there was no way in hell I was going to tell her until I had to. think Lenard and Penny.) lol.

Ha, DM. I ended up telling my now-wife pretty quickly, because I got into Superstar a few weeks after we started dating. She's definitely a non-gamer, though. Her reaction after watching us play once was "there are some things you can never unsee." :)
Of course, my best man decided to use my module/gaming as a talking point during his speech at the wedding, so the cat was definitely out of the bag then.
My sense is... we're trying to subdue these thugs (Septimus has already knocked two unconscious) and then we flee on the assumption we've bought time for others to escape.
The halfling who cast the tomato spell has disappeared, as has the contact Aldren was looking for. My sense is if we stay we'll be arrested or killed by overwhelming force.
But...it's chaos (I think as written/intended, not a reflection on the GM).
Lirana- I still need a answer on how you want to do the Charm sanctuary. do you want me to-
1. any attack that would possibly bring you to more than half your hitpoints in lethal attack until used up.
2. use them always until used up for the day.
3. use them only against "leader" enemies but ignore lesser. (less than your HD /greater than your HD)
because it is a immediate action waiting for you to choose might slow combat. so unless you have a better idea I think it would be best for one of these.
Yeah, sorry. I sat and thought about this for a couple minutes and in the end decided that aside from Berenice he doesn't know anyone and the man with the one glove is his obsession. Plus...had the bluff roll been better...this could have been awesome. Oh well. I'm sure I'll get a nat 20 on something critical, like a perception check to notice a dog eating our lunch.

Sorry for late posts everyone. It completely slipped my mind on Thursday (thanks to a new expansion for one of my favorite video games coming out). Today (Friday) I had my in-person game night with friends after work. Posting now.
I know that feeling. I'm playing Mass Effect's original trilogy before diving into Andromeda and playing Total War: Warhammer on the side to keep it from getting stale.
Loooove the original trilogy. Will be interested to hear your thoughts on ME: A when you're done with it. I don't want to spoil anything. Like I said, I'm glad I played it. Starting a second playthrough now.
Also... Septimus is my new best friend. If he swings and hits like that, he can babble on about Asmodean laws as much as he wants. ;-)
And, Lirana, THANK YOU for the heals! It's appreciated! :-)
@ Carawyn: I love weird characters. Not annoying at all. This is just a weird situation in which all of our characters have been thrust together so deciphering the riddle of the gnome hasn't quite made it to the top of Aldren's priority list; but as a player, I have an idea for what Aldren is going to do. Likely that can happen for all of us at our next stop.

Excellent. Looking forward to seeing what happened. I was very curious what your failed hidden message was going to be. :)
Lirana will have a hard time taken you seriously until you prove yourself. Carawyn doesn't sound as if she is capable of taking care of herself right now.

Just a heads up, I will be away from my home due to the Easter holiday until at least 4/22. I don't own a laptop or device that is easy to post from so I may be a bit slower than normal. I will try to make use of my father's computer when I can.

Thank you. I will take care of Laurent, I suspect I will have access to a computer later at night. However, if you need Laurent and I haven't been able to post, feel free to have him do what you need.

I'm heading down to St. Martin once again on Friday to see Dr. The Old Ball and Chain, and this time drag her back home with me. I'll be mostly away from keyboard April 21-28 (hopefully able to dive right back in after that, though the wife will be home so we may be a bit busy for a few days -- I can usually post when she's doing things around the house).
Hate to go when I'm still getting Carawyn established, but I sent the GM some notes on how to DMPC her. Try not to let the revolution get crushed before I get back. :)
BTW, I'm starting a new job tomorrow, so my posting frequency may be somewhat erratic. I have no idea if things are going to start at a sprint or more of a river cruise pace. Shouldn't be any problem posting once a day, but just wanted to mention it.
Sorry if yall don't like Rex or Ba, I wanted very real not prefect allies with faults. for yall to choose who you want and if you will allow people to join. everyone has there own motives.
No apologies needed! On the contrary, sorry if it seems like Aldren is being difficult. I mean to have him on a workable path by hearing more and acquiescing in the end, but while he may dislike Rexus and Ba, I think ambiguous characters are great. But between Rexus being a timorous noble and Ba making the lot of them the butt of a joke, two of Aldren's buttons are getting pushed and it'd be a near total rewrite of the character to ignore them. But that's why I ended my last post with an oath, to give a hook to move him
Forward on the AP's path while still staying true to his concept. Sorry if it's making extra work for you. I'm enjoying it quite a lot.
Oh, no harm done. Berenice just doesn't like magic that messes with your head, and she sees Rex was as fooled as the rest of them, so no hard feelings, plus Ba's connection to the Bellflower Network mitigates things.
Lirana doesn't approve of the illusions. As far as she is concerned, he started off a riot that may have gotten many innocent people beaten up and is mad he scared the s$@~ out of her for absolutely no reason by making that illusion.
So far she finds him reckless and callous to the suffering of others that result from his pranks. Lirana may change her mind about him later on if she notices any redeeming qualities.
Rexus seems timid and scared, but that is certainly a reasonable way to be given what's going on in the city.
Both make perfectly acceptable NPCs though. You don't want us to like everyone that you throw at us. It's good to have a few NPCs to hate as well, even those that aren't technically villains.

Hey everyone, I am very sorry for my absence. I got home from vacation to find out that the internet at my house was not working. My room-mates had not bothered to tell the landlord so he didn't get notice until last Saturday morning from me.
It was just fixed this afternoon. I am going to read through the IC thread and make a post shortly after I am done.
I apologize again for my delay.

Huh, is that true? (I didn't realize I conflated the two birds when I posted. Duh, me.)
And, hey Laurent, no worries. Hope you had a nice holiday. My only roomies these days are a husband, a 150' dog and a toddler. Funny. I was so eager to have a place of my own...then I went and this happened. Oh well. [-;
Is true. It is a murder of crows. An Unkindness of ravens. I read the conspiracy one too, which is very amusing for what we are doing. :)
I only know these things because we were teaching our son group names for animals. Did you know that a group of rattlesnakes is called a rhumba?

No, but that's awesome.
(One of my favorite things to do when designing monsters is come up with the group name -- I think it can be such a subtle way to impart a little flavor to the creatures, and too often is a missed opportunity.)
I have updated the campaign info tab, I hopefully will continue to do it as we move along with key NPC knowledge. based upon info gained in the campaign. some of the knowledge might not be true until uncovered.
