Emrael Bladewalker |
Moving to the door, hand on her sword, she listens intently to what's happening outside.
In her unconscious state, Emrael lets out a terrible scream of anguish, but the words, if there are any, are indistinguishable.

Emrael:
She....knows she has her katana. Before her hand is on it.
The shutter is not at all locked.
Listening at the door.....
"We MUST wake her NOW! She is our only HOPE! Without her we're all doomed! We cannot fight them! Only she can!"
"No! She's the last one, and she's done enough. We must figure something else out!!!"
"There IS no OTHER WAY! You cannot......bargain with them! All they know is death!!!"

But the need is undeniable. She picks up the journal book and sets it on the couch where she awakened, then opens the footlocker.
This is fun, but I need to take care of something. TTYL.
Satari-san |
"Invisible creatures again. Why do they think being invisible will help them?"
Satari climbs hand-over-hand up Beldan's struggling form, grabbing breeches, belt, shirt, and whatever else comes to hand. He searches for whatever force is conveying the rogue away from the group, and will either grab or batter anything corporeal that he finds.
Claw the Golem |
Claw and the dinosaur keep pounding the nightmare thing.
Dino! Attack roll 13+22-4(Power Attack)=AC 31, damage 4d6+24+12(PA)=53. Attack is bludgeoning and Good.
Claw! PS: He's in Z-AA 10-11. Attack 1: 13+16=AC 29, damage 3d8+8=23. Attack 2: 10+16=AC 26, damage 3d8+8=20. Damage is magical and slashing. He also regenerates 5 hit points.
Elgan Dreadwood |
Elganhawk, not wanting to try and grab Beldan while Satari is hanging from him, and not wanting to risk trying t attack the invisible carrier for the same reason, attacks the nearest flying/lightning spitter instead.
He folds his wings and dives, streaking towards his target like an arrow. A particularly large arrow, trailing sparks and flame as it streaks towards it's target,...
OK, gonna try a flyby attack. Adding in bonuses for charge, etc:
Att #1: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (20) + 17 = 371d6 + 8 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 8 + (4) + (3) = 19

Is that yes?!? :D
Elganhawk streaks from above like an incoming missile, his claws tearing at his foe as he burns and shocks the creature simultaneously. Then he is gone, only the wounds he caused and his scream of triumph to indicate he was ever there,...
Altai Iscarni |
Altai squints at the otherworldly scrum happening before him. After doing some quick calculations of angles and blast radii, he shakes his head and casts another spell instead.
I'm burning Plane shift to cast Summon monster VII. Not quite sure what I'll call up yet.

The monk is aoo'd by the two visible mothmen and the Thing hanging in the void.
The mothmen combine up a 27 vs his cmd to grapple him off of Beldan.
The 'Thing does 20 hp damage; also Satari needs to save vs nightmare dream power; dc 21 fortitude.
Damage is 1d4 wis and fatigue if he fails the save.
Satari, if not defeated by the grapple to his srd, can punch the invisible mothman carrying Beldan; it has its legs wrapped around his torso from behind and is using wings to fly him down the hallway.

Hand! Move to A-B 14-15 before grabbing the northernmost mothman. Attack roll 11+14+11(it has STR 31!)+1(it is Large)=37 versus CMD. No damage, but it should struggle with casting spells or doing very much.
And with that,........Satari is not grappled; can just do a single attack on the mothman carrying Beldan.

The two visible mothmen touch Beldan and all three disappear.
[Satari can aoo one if he wishes. However, he's falling now, as Beldan is no longer there.]
And the 'thing fades away as well.
End of combat.

Fort save DC 21 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 23
Satari clutches at empty air as Beldan's form suddenly disappears from beneath his hands. The monk arcs backward, sorely wounded by the mothman's blow and bone-weary from the eldritch evil power of the Dweller in the Abyss. With a desperate effort he folds himself through space to land on the stone floor without falling through the intervening height. He lies there, breathing rapid and shallow, and doesn't move.
Abundant step to the ground. Also, woot!

His immediate foe now fallen, Dok eyes the newcomer warily, but doesn't raise his blade. Instead, he nods to the emerald-haired half-pint, then surveys the area to see how the battle has fared and locate another foe to engage... "Damn. What the hell were those things?" The spritely stabber says.
Two more greenhairs come out of the wagon; a burly wee sprat in a breastplate and a lass in a chain shirt. She scoots over to Emrael.

I'm not sure how many rounds took place after she fell, but I don't think it was more than that. That would put her at -5 pre-healing, so 27 now?
The elf's features soften as the pain is eased and she says, "But you don't understand, I really haven't had enough time to study. I'm not ready!"
When she opens her eyes, the confusion is obvious - both with her surroundings and facing her green-haired healer. "I.. ah.. Thank you, I was not in this place. Have we prevailed? I'm sorry, I am called Emrael. How may I address my savior?"
The elf pushes herself up to a sitting position. "Those things just kept coming, wave after wave." She shakes her head to clear the cobwebs.
Emrael Bladewalker |
"Zani, I'm conscious and grateful to you for that state. I will be fine, thanks." Still fatigued and suffering from Wisdom damage, but she's not complaining.
"Where did you and your friends come from?"
