Heh. You'd think a nature-lover like Elgan would learn to blend in. A little bit anyway. Maybe next level he'll start taking lessons from Beldan and Pip. :)
And, Pip,....Dok points to the roof of the main bailey. You definitely see something moving around up there; what it is isn't clear. It's under a roof in the shadows; there's battlement in the way and there's lots of wooden pillars holding up the roof, but....something's moving up there.
Seeing Pip's attention linger where Dok knows he saw something, he whispers "You see it, too. Can't see what, but that's where we should go next, methinks."
Appears that our sneaky folk are neatly divided into two groups. Would Beldan proceed on his own? I don't know his personality, but if he's a lone gun, I think he's going to try the door. Otherwise, I think he's going to try to get the other two to come join him. My $0.02
The air billows about. The dust of decades is thick, and every breath stings a bit.
On the floor, a mummified tangle of bodies, the leftovers of heavy fighting. Looks like a cadre of guys in O-yoroi, who dropped their naginatas at the door and pulled shorter weapons to fight indoors with, crashed into a gang of guys dressed in lighter armor, who also wielded lighter weapons; tetsubo clubs, katana, the odd battleaxe; that sort of thing. The latter group of warriors wore lighter armor, maybe a "breastplate," torso guard of lamellar, and wrapped their faces in a black veil.
A goot thirty died here. Nothing moves, but the dust heavy in the air.
At the back of the room, a massive statue of a fat bald monk, with a scowling countenance and green gemstone eyes dominates the room. He holds a sword out in a sheathe, propping it up with both hands as if presenting it. His pearllike necklace is a part of the statue, but it's inlaid with gold. His skin looks to be inlaid with colored glass fragments, as do his red and black robes. The sword, like the necklace, is part of the statue; it is also inlaid with gold and glass like black lacquer for the sheathe.
The statue sits legs akimbo, and is a good 10 feet tall.
You see threats.....
as the "loud ones" enter the courtyard,
the bones swirl as if in the wind. They coalesce, into three figures: two are dog shaped, made up of an amalgam of bones, the third is manlike, and bipedal. All are huge.
Initiative; beat a 1d20 ⇒ 3
Pretty sure you guys won.
and,......I'll probably be gone for the rest of the afternoon i.e. next 4-6 hours.
Emrael moves due south toward the dog-shape, attacking it from AA23 before retreating slightly to Z22 (using Spring Attack, so no AoO from the dog-thing - she's trying to remain out of reach of the man-thing)
Just in case 'unholy' is more than a general adjective, her sword is a +1 cold iron holy katana. I realize the slashing weapon is not helping against a skeleton's DR, but maybe one of the other characteristics will...
Oh, and her AC is 37 for this round thanks to Combat Expertise.
Beldan hits it, and his electric arrow does vital damage to the dog made of bones. It seems to be resistant somehow to his weaponry though; although it did take quite a bit of damage.
After a double-take as the scattered bones coalesce, Altai takes a few steps back. Once he's at a safe distance, he casts a spell at the humanoid mass of bones.
Altai and Claw move 20' backwards. Once that's done, he casts Disintegrate at the humanoid-ish enemy. Attack roll 11+10=touch AC 21, damage 28d6=108, successful Fort 26 save reduces this to 5d6=19 points of damage.
EDIT: Whoa! After a closer look at the map, 20' seems insufficiently safe. Before he starts slinging spells, Altai moves to AI 17; Claw jogs to AG/AH 17-18.
Altai blasts the heck out of the thing, and it's coalesced bones fall off like rain......it's severely injured, and extremely osteoporotic after the disintegrate spell.

Dok will move along the wall towards the skeletal humanoid (5' step to V 14, please.), and cast Entangle (Save DC: 15) on the skeletal dog nearest him (dog 1... I can't remember if you'd said that the squares were 5' each or 10' here, so I'll leave it to DM's discrection on where to place it, so long as the dog gets entangled and none of the group does.).
