The kid looks left and right apprehensively.....
Dok slowly sheathes his falchion, grumbling something to Colu, who settles down slightly, though she remains still and tense, her fur remains standing up.
"Nice cat," says the kid.
"Whoa, the kid's dead?" asks Beldan. "That sucks..."
"What the hell are you talkin' about? You guys are crazy.
Now, give me something to eat; I'm freakin starving to death!"
Pip looks at the kid
"Catch!"
Pip tosses the weird kid a rice cake he saved from the dinner table
The rice ball plops into his hands.

and onto the cobblestone ground.
He tries to pick it up, but cannot.
"Aww," he whines, "that ALWAYS happens...." and then, he seems to fade away........
Pip yells at the fading kid
"hey I got some magic that'll make you semi solid if you wanna eat that"
He stops fading;
"Oh yeah?"
"yeah. I can do it for your bros to if y'all will clump together. The spell's got a limited area it affects."
Yeah; it works.......they all jump out of the walls, and scramble after any and all food profferred.
Colu is freaked out by it all and keeps on growling.
Pip hands out all his provisions, even the small wheel of Asgardian goat cheese he had been saving for a special occasion
"So what's the deal here? Why you kids stuck on this plane? Shouldnt you be off to your gods' realms by now? Anything we can do to free y'all? Or are you hanging out here cause you want to?"
Pip looks around at the ruined house
"not bagging on your crib, but it don't look like much of a fun place to spend eternity"
"I....we don't know what to do to go on. We starved here, and it trapped us."
"It's easy, to forget you're dead."
"what's 'it'? The house?"
"I don't know; maybe dieing that way."
"Well, I think all you have to do is let go and trust that the gods will take you to your afterlife. Your time here is over, it's time to go forward with your existence. "

“Oh nice work Pip!” enthuses Beldan. “I really didn’t want to have to fight them ... fighting kids, even ghost kids, just doesn’t seem ... right.”

Emrael is a bit confused. "What just happened here?"
Pip finishes up his song. He looks over st Beldan
"yeah I felt bad for the little guys. Imagine being hungry and you can't eat!"
He looks around at the others
"What next?"
“Hmmm ... let’s check out some of these out-buildings, guard towers whatever before we look at the main keep,” suggests Beldan.
He stealths over to the door at AE 27 28 and checks it for traps or sound before seeing if it is locked. When the others are in place (nearby) he attempts to pick the lock and or open the door, or disarm the trap if there is one.
He gets to the door. It's a double door, wooden, with ornate lions carved in the door; with big brass rings that are held at the lions' collar. They don't currently appear locked, or trapped.
The bottom floor of this building is made of stone, and perhaps 3 stories tall; the higher floors are wooden.
A wind whips through the grounds momentarily. You see an ulna, rolling around a little bit, disturbed by the wind.
Dok gives Colu the "seek" command , and points her towards the keep. "Be careful, friend. Don't get dead."
He'll also slink into the courtyard to check out the section of courtyard North of there, as well as the ramp/door combo across the way from there.

More doors, with lion motifs and copper rings on them;....the west building is like the east one Beldan's checking; 1 story of stone, tnen two or three more of wood.
The northernmost main keep is two stories of stone, then three or four of wood.
Dok can see......something on the highest floor of the main keep, moving around. Just see shadowy form really; vision's kinda occluded. Or maybe it's just detritis blown about by the wind?......
Colu slinks up next to the door of the main keep, which he can't get into.
Beldan sneaks past Dok’s position towards the door at M N O P 21 – if he see’s Dok looking up at the tower he sends his own gaze upwards as well.
the door isn't locked either. You see Dok look up; don't see whatever it is Dok is looking at.....
As Beldan moves up to Dok's location, he reaches out a hand, to stop him, points up to where he saw the movement, and whispers "something is moving up there. Could be the wind, maybe."
Beldan continues past and checks out the door he was headed for, and the short ramp leading up to it.

Elgan grunts back. Roughly translates into "Yeah, We get that a lot."
Elgan follows the others into the keep. He's looking around, but he 's obviously,... distracted. Despite the wonderful resolution to the situation, the sight of all of those ghost children disturbed him somewhat.
"Ah wunners," He mentions aside to Altai as the others scout ahead. "Wha all dem kids whar doin' heah in deh furs' place. An why dey wuz lef' teh starve?"
Need a stealth roll......
Satari follows a little way behind Beldan, surprisingly quiet for an old man with creaky knees.
He's able to almost sneak as good as the Beldanmeister. Good enoug h for government work anyway's.

Emrael is not stealthy. Not wanting to ruin the sneaky-folk's efforts, she waits for a sign that they need assistance.
