Elgan Dreadwood |
Elgan watches the floating pile of innards float closer to him with a rather detached look on his face.
"Ah no. Dat jes' won' do." he mutters, imperiously directing another blast of lightning from his personal thunderhead above.
Lightning Storm blast gut-flumph #1, Swift or free action?
5d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 2, 5, 6) = 22
"Tiame tah get serious den chere'! He grins wolf-like, casting another spell. He then shakes out his arms, and swiftly flows and grows into his treant form. Another shake of his leaf-covered branchy-arms, and they burst into flames, trailing sparks and frost behind them as they swing.
"DAAAAT'S BEEEEETTEEER!" Treant-Ellgan bellows as he swats at the offending flying organs as it flies within his reach.
OK, Swift action for directing lightning bolt, Standard action cast Bull's Str, Free action shapechange (My special druid subtype) and Free action AoO on gutsy due to increased reach. Yes?
Single AoO on gutsy with flaming, electric, frost dmg added if hit; all bonuses from Bulls Str, song and haste added in;
1d20 + 24 ⇒ (14) + 24 = 381d8 + 18 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 18 + (5) + (1) + (6) = 31
Claw the Golem |
As the catfish flows free, the giant dragonfly clicks it huge mandibles in annoyance. Executing a quick turn, it zips back after it.
U-turn, flying to IJKL 69-73 before biting Fishy. It could have taken a tighter turn, but their Fly skill sucks. These aren't much for fancy maneuvers. Attack roll 12+19-3(power attack)=AC 28, damage 2d8+11+6(PA)=26.
The other dragonfly climbs steeply, repeatedly biting its captive.
Move to GHIJ 54-58, climbing 40' up to 55'. AoO: attack roll 11+19=AC 30, damage 2d8+11=17. Regular attack roll 10+19-3(power attack)=AC 26, damage 2d8+11+6(PA)=25.
Altai Iscarni |
"Hmmmm...."
I'm dropping a Sirocco in the MN 81-82 intersection. It hits Fishy, both gut-things and Muddy. Flyers must make a DC 15 Fly check or be knocked out of the air and take falling damage. Anyone damaged is fatigued. Damage 4d8+14=34, Reflex 26 for half. Water subtype creatures take a -4 penalty on the save and take double damage.

No aoo (sorry....) Gutflumph 1 takes another lightningbolt. He's looking pretty shabby at this point.

Roc 1 misses the 'fish.
Roc 2 hits with the aoo only; it's not finished yet.

The fish is still airborne, but it is burned badly by the scirocco.
Neither gut ball is knocked out of the air; neither is killed.
Muddy is baked dry and cracks up a little bit. But is still fighting.

With a bonus of +14, I think I can manage that...
Reflex save to stick the landing 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29
Now why couldn't I do that yesterday?
Emrael moves to S86 and fires a shot at the slime.
Firing an arrow 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (8) + 17 = 25
Damage 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
"So, mage - how do you kill an aggressive puddle?"

doik!
sorry, I missed the add on to this post....The slime misses with a gloppy almost armfist that forms up to smash at Emrael as she scrambles out of the river onto shore.
At another glance, the......clot of black brackish water and filth seems to have one main red eye, and a.....body (I use the term loosely) that is dappled with red eyes here and there;
she hits an eye, and the thing seems to shudder. It seems to be hurt.

You posted your reply before I finished my addendum, but I was needing to call it a night, so I didn't try to fix it. I figured we'd get it sorted, and you did.
By the way, my rolls did not include the bonus from Pip's inspire, so that should be another +3 on the damage.

I think I was ready to call it a night whether I knew it or not.

Hello;
My wife's sick now, so I'll be chasing 3 kids around and taking care of her, and as such will probably post later in the evening for the weekend. So I'll see you guys later tonight!
I'll check on the spell and whatnot, and later on the evening maybe get the foes' attacks off.
Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe |
Claw continues to do nothing. How about having Pip cast Song of discord in the same area Altai hit with the Sirocco? Each weirdo will need to make Will 23 or attack one of its comrades.
That sounds like a good idea
Seeing his arrows do little and less, Pip switchs to Lucille and cranks up a jarring set of chords. His floating sword amplifies them
"On another day c'mon c'mon
With these ropes tied tight can we do no wrong
Now we grieve 'cause now it's gone
Things were good when we were young
With my teeth bite down I can see the blood
Of a thousand men who have come and gone
Now we grieve 'cause now it's gone
Things were good when we were young"

Catfish saves.
The "newest" flumph from hell saves.
The other gutball, the slimey redeyed thing, and the mudnoid go to wuppin the tarshit out of eachother in the river.
nts.......adjudicate that; for all intensive porpoises, though, they're done fighting.
The gutboy flies out of the sirocco and is going at the party from the left through the trees;
the catfish splashes into the river to cover from Altai's spells while it spam summons; while there he pukes up two more gutballs.
The slimy dude being grappled by the roc dragonfly starts flowing around on him and trying to flow into the dragonfly's mouth. He ain't quite right....he's sorta still grappled. It's like the time I wrestled that wax statue of Jaclynn Smith.
Group's attack!!!
Beldan Vale |
All the weirdos near Beldan pile into the water and begin fighting each, apparently. He shrugs and looks about. The bridge is blocked with Altai’s haze of shimmering heat, but the rogue sees the big catfish splashing around in the river, upchucking more mobile internal organs.
Tumbling away from the flailing mudnoid, Beldan races over towards the rice paddies and hits the deck, splashing down into the calf deep water before crawling stealthily closer to the giant fish.
Acrobatics away from the mudnoid to avoid AoOs 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (16) + 30 = 46 then move, with the benefit of haste and fast stealth 1d20 + 36 ⇒ (12) + 36 = 48 to G78, going prone and crawling for the past 10 feet or so.
Elgan Dreadwood |
Elgan conjures another blast of lightning from his personal storm-cloud, then shambles almost casually towards Doc, reaches over his head, and slaps the gut-boy with a flamiing/sparking/frosted tree-limb-arm.
Call lighting on Guts 2,
5d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 4, 6, 3) = 22
Then move 4 squares left, (20') and use reach to slap the same one silly.
1d20 + 25 ⇒ (12) + 25 = 371d8 + 22 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 22 + (3) + (5) + (2) = 36
Altai Iscarni |
Covered by the golem, Altai moves closer to the floating gutball before blasting them with lightning.
Move to L95 before casting Lightning bolt. It hits Guts 2, 3 and 4, plus the catfish; I'm using my Metamagic rod (empower) to give it a bit more fizz. Damage 10d6=39x1,5=57 lightning, REflex 23 for half.
Claw the Golem |
The giant dragonfly zips past the catfish, lashing out with its multi-hinged jaws.
Move to CDEF 88-91. Along the way it bites Fishy, using Flyby Attack. No grapple attempt - there's no real point... Attack roll 11+19=AC 30, damage 2d8+11=20.
The other dragonfly keeps climbing, vigorously shaking its slimy passenger.
Move to KLMN 47-51, climbing 40' up to 95'; it is now heading due west. Attack roll 12+19=AC 31, damage 2d8+11=19.
