Or, if we want to give Stig's taste buds a run for their money, coca-infused Mr. Boston coffee-flavored brandy ... *shudder*

At least you guys have jobs... :(
Sorry dude. But aren’t you like a phd student or something? EDIT: Ah, I see your post above .... And if you don’t have a job ... that means you should have a lot of time on your hands ... why aren’t you running a pbp game? ;-)

Yeah, sorry to hear that. I'm more stressed than very busy - we are not flavour with management.

I'm pretty sure it'll work out OK, especially as the Norwegian job market is so much better than the American one (Norwegian unemployment: 2%; US unemployment: 11% officially, but more probably somewhere around 18%). It's just piling up: my dad just lost his foot, my brother needs some serious surgery, my wife's firm put everyone on 4-day weeks... We just found out she's pregnant, so I just want to have a job before the baby arrives (January). It's been an... eventful summer.

Reading on... Congratulations, but it helps to add to the stress levels too. Best wishes for you, little Vatters and the Missus. Baby Aubrey (aka Tarquin aka Tarkers aka James) is due in a few weeks.

Since we’re sharing on this thread, I guess I’ll let you all know that I’m going to be a father for the second time in December too. I’m thrilled – and freaked out all at once!

What? Guys, keep it in a single post or something. Congrats Mothy (and Raggy).

Tarquin the Malformed has a certain ring to it. As you aren't going with Hermes Trismegistus, James is a good name as well. And then you can play him this song all the time!

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Right on;
what time of day do you guys want to head over there? Any buffs or preparations? How you gonna roll?
(I'm about to be afk til Thursdayish anyhow, so no big rush I reckon).

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

and I'm going to piss off for an hour right now anyway cos this site is running too slow, and it took me 20 minutes to make Hudak's last post, which wasn't really 20 minutes worth of interesting!

I dunno if I'm quite ready to become Stig's pusher yet... But I can probably cook up a few batches to keep him alert while we're out and about. As a bonus, it'll make Stig act and talk like the hypercaffeinated squirrel in Hoodwinked.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

both cheeks crammed chock full of coffeebeans, foaming a.t.m. like a rabid chipmunk...

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

Here the relevant clip.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

heh heh....Twitchy.

got Scarlet Brotherhood (map of Hepmonaland wooooot!)
and
1988 Castle Greyhawk at Half Price Books tonite... woot!

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

Nice! That Scarlet Brotherhood book is really good.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

yeah....I paged through it a little bit...holy s#+$! Map of Hepmonaland though...I said "I GYADDA GET THIS."

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

I Luv Twitchy! :)

Oh yeah, I'm BAAAaaack! :) I'll re-peruse spells tomorrow, try to properly prep for an underwater sneak-attack.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

meh....take yer time; I'll be back Thursday evening plollaby.

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

We need tons and tons of Protection from evil and Align weapon. If Oso can memorise True seeing, I'm sure that'll come in handy as well.

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

I THINK Druids get Prot/Evil, I don't know about Align Weapon. I'll take a look, I was thinking we might need underwater breathing spells?

M Halfling Barbarian 10

"Me say we use sea cave vector. Go in, kill someone. Sound good."

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

I don't have access to Mass Water breathing (yet) But I could provide a couple of single-use water-breathing and Freedom of Movement spells without impacting my spell selection too much (since I get most of my use from converting to Summons or Heals anyway) My best use (IMO) is as a Large Hall way blocker, backing up the real damage dealers with my reach by reaching over their heads, or AoO'ing things that approach to try and whale on them. :)

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

I have 6 (!) scrolls of water breathing that I scribed for our never-realised fight against the sahuagin.

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

Awesome! With my water-breathing feat, I don't need one, so I can concentrate on the druidic version of 'globe of death' (Force sphere with summon swarm inside) I'm thinking wall of thorns with summon swarm or Summon nature;s ally? I'll also provide a couple of 'freedom/movement' spells for the fighters in case we have to battle under water. ;P

Bard 8/ Troubadour of Stars 9 Epic Shredder

Pip has a Ring of Waterbreathing as well, so he doesn't need a scroll.

Male Human Rogue 14

Beldan has a necklace of adaptation, so he doesn't need to breath.

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

Heh. I so rarely get to play PC's up to this level, i forget how well-equipped we actually are! ;)

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

*huzzah!*

Barbarian (berserker) 3; Init +1; AC18; Hp 36/41; Saves Str +5, Con +7; Passive Perception 9

Will sort out spells over e weekend when I get back from short holiday. Oso cannot breathe underwater.

M Halfling Barbarian 10

I still haven't spent my loot yet - about 14k's worth I believe? - so I'll do that before we head out.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

that's cool...

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

A little detail....the mansion in question sits on top of Parrot Island, a small, jungly expanse in the main lagoon which Sasserine wraps around. There are docks on the south side of the island, with a trail that winds up through the jungle that leads up to the 20 foot tall walls of the compound. The caveman tells you about a cave at sea level that leads into the bowels of Parrot island; it's maybe 30 feet long and opens into a larger seacave.....

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

huzzah!!! got the Riven Sky module in the mail today! Woohoo!

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

now I just gotta.....make a module that's supposed to be in viking land fit the tropics, and modify an adventure that's meant for four 10th level p.c.'s fit for 7-8 twelfth level p.c.'s.....shouldn't be too hard.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

oh....and I got that s~%& quick too! I ordered it Sunday, and it's here today; it might've been there yesterday; IDK.

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

So. Just another easy/normal day for you then? ;P

The Exchange

If you need any help, just let us know.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

naah, not really....it'll be easy...

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

huzzah! it's about done in theory anyhow.

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

NAmed storm pounding us with rain tomorrow, pick this up on MOnday? (approx)? Can't wait to see where all that oil ends up after THIS! ;P

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

aww man.

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

Heh. Yep. Pretty much! I'm gonna take one more fish for useful druid spells (I feel I'm underutilizing his spell abilities!) then I'm crashing! Nighters!

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

I'm mostly ready. So the plan is to bestow water breathing on the party members, swim in through the sea cave and then unleash hell upon each and every rakshasa we can find?

Male Human Rogue 14

Sounds pretty right to me.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

What time of day?

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

ASAP - as we'll be fighting indoors, the time of day won't matter, and striking soon gives the shapeshifters less time to prepare.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Slide into the cavern......
It's a narrow channel into the main cavern; you can save your water breathing because it's pretty much not too damn deep cept for gittik.

It leads into a massive main chamber about 50 feet by 50 feet.
On the east side there's a dock, some ground space about 10 feet wide that leads to stairways winding around the cavern up up up (presumably) to the mansion.
There's a wide stone stairway in the south that leads down into the water, and enters a massive, 20 foot wide yawning cavern; the cavern is surrounded by Vudran-styled representation of a wide-eyed tiger head, the cavern being the mouth.
Nothing stirs but the lapping of the water.....a flickering lantern on the dock illuminates the cavern rather weakly.

Male Human Rogue 14

“I’ll swim ahead a check it out,” whispers Beldan, gliding forward silently through the water towards the dock.
Swim: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31, Stealth: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (18) + 30 = 48, Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Beldan's able to get up to the yawning mouth of the cavern. Within, there's a stairwell, leading down into a wide, dark space. Beldan lowcrawls to the edge of the stairwell....

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Can you see in darkness?

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

You do, however, hear a....rasping, rubbing sound, something massive scraping against the walls in the blackness.

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

Elgan plays it calm, leaving his teammates to do most of the front work. He knows he's quiet in the forest, but even his shifting is no match for Beldan's skill. He remains poised and ready, prepared to shift or cast at a moment's notice,...

ANNND,... We're off! ;)
