Yeah, sorry to hear that. I'm more stressed than very busy - we are not flavour with management.

I'm pretty sure it'll work out OK, especially as the Norwegian job market is so much better than the American one (Norwegian unemployment: 2%; US unemployment: 11% officially, but more probably somewhere around 18%). It's just piling up: my dad just lost his foot, my brother needs some serious surgery, my wife's firm put everyone on 4-day weeks... We just found out she's pregnant, so I just want to have a job before the baby arrives (January). It's been an... eventful summer.

I dunno if I'm quite ready to become Stig's pusher yet... But I can probably cook up a few batches to keep him alert while we're out and about. As a bonus, it'll make Stig act and talk like the hypercaffeinated squirrel in Hoodwinked.

We need tons and tons of Protection from evil and Align weapon. If Oso can memorise True seeing, I'm sure that'll come in handy as well.

I THINK Druids get Prot/Evil, I don't know about Align Weapon. I'll take a look, I was thinking we might need underwater breathing spells?

I don't have access to Mass Water breathing (yet) But I could provide a couple of single-use water-breathing and Freedom of Movement spells without impacting my spell selection too much (since I get most of my use from converting to Summons or Heals anyway) My best use (IMO) is as a Large Hall way blocker, backing up the real damage dealers with my reach by reaching over their heads, or AoO'ing things that approach to try and whale on them. :)

I have 6 (!) scrolls of water breathing that I scribed for our never-realised fight against the sahuagin.

Awesome! With my water-breathing feat, I don't need one, so I can concentrate on the druidic version of 'globe of death' (Force sphere with summon swarm inside) I'm thinking wall of thorns with summon swarm or Summon nature;s ally? I'll also provide a couple of 'freedom/movement' spells for the fighters in case we have to battle under water. ;P

Pip has a Ring of Waterbreathing as well, so he doesn't need a scroll.

Beldan has a necklace of adaptation, so he doesn't need to breath.

Heh. I so rarely get to play PC's up to this level, i forget how well-equipped we actually are! ;)

I still haven't spent my loot yet - about 14k's worth I believe? - so I'll do that before we head out.

A little detail....the mansion in question sits on top of Parrot Island, a small, jungly expanse in the main lagoon which Sasserine wraps around. There are docks on the south side of the island, with a trail that winds up through the jungle that leads up to the 20 foot tall walls of the compound. The caveman tells you about a cave at sea level that leads into the bowels of Parrot island; it's maybe 30 feet long and opens into a larger seacave.....

huzzah!!! got the Riven Sky module in the mail today! Woohoo!

now I just gotta.....make a module that's supposed to be in viking land fit the tropics, and modify an adventure that's meant for four 10th level p.c.'s fit for 7-8 twelfth level p.c.'s.....shouldn't be too hard.

oh....and I got that s~%& quick too! I ordered it Sunday, and it's here today; it might've been there yesterday; IDK.

ASAP - as we'll be fighting indoors, the time of day won't matter, and striking soon gives the shapeshifters less time to prepare.

Slide into the cavern......
It's a narrow channel into the main cavern; you can save your water breathing because it's pretty much not too damn deep cept for gittik.

It leads into a massive main chamber about 50 feet by 50 feet.
On the east side there's a dock, some ground space about 10 feet wide that leads to stairways winding around the cavern up up up (presumably) to the mansion.
There's a wide stone stairway in the south that leads down into the water, and enters a massive, 20 foot wide yawning cavern; the cavern is surrounded by Vudran-styled representation of a wide-eyed tiger head, the cavern being the mouth.
Nothing stirs but the lapping of the water.....a flickering lantern on the dock illuminates the cavern rather weakly.

“I’ll swim ahead a check it out,” whispers Beldan, gliding forward silently through the water towards the dock.
Swim: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31, Stealth: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (18) + 30 = 48, Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34

Beldan's able to get up to the yawning mouth of the cavern. Within, there's a stairwell, leading down into a wide, dark space. Beldan lowcrawls to the edge of the stairwell....

Can you see in darkness?

You do, however, hear a....rasping, rubbing sound, something massive scraping against the walls in the blackness.

Elgan plays it calm, leaving his teammates to do most of the front work. He knows he's quiet in the forest, but even his shifting is no match for Beldan's skill. He remains poised and ready, prepared to shift or cast at a moment's notice,...
