I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Ottar's the dungeonmaster's little friend.
The whole adventure is about Ottar now, and how great Ottar is.
Did you see how he killed that bullette? Awesome.
JFK!!!

Male Human Rogue 14

Beldan shoots Ottar ;-)

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Mnaaaaaaaaaar!!!
Illegal!

Bard 8/ Troubadour of Stars 7 Bardic guitar hero

Pip changes up his tune as Stig and Ottar start swinging

"When two sots go to war
A pint is all you can score
When two sots go to war
You'd best get them a whore .."

Don't forget them +2's folks

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

The other four guys hear the cheery tune; see Gittik shred the beast for 70-something h.p.; feel better about the whole thing and stop retreating. Unlimbering their crossbows, they prepare to give supporting fire.

Male Human Rogue 14

Beldan drops his crossbow onto the branch, grabs out the nozzle of his lightning thrower and launches a bolt at overgrown plastic Japanese fake dinosaur.*

Ranged touch? 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33 if so, 5d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 3, 2, 2) = 14electrical damage.

* I actually used to have the toys that were the inspiration for the bullette and rust monster and a few other weird ones that might have been dnd monsters in a pack of plastic dinosaurs when I was a kid. The rust monster is long gone, but I think the little green and brown bullette is still kicking around at home somewhere.

Male Wild Elf Druid 14(Shifter version, PHBII)

Same song, second verse, chinese accent, whole lot worse! :) Same att combo as before!
1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 211d8 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 131d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 131d6 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 141d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 121d6 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 121d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 291d8 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

Elgan-Dire-Bear widens his eyes in appreciation of the feral hobniz, shakes and bounces a little to Pip's tune, and lays into the bullette once more,... with feeling!

fake, or prophetic?

not quite as big as the massive komodo dragons that met the first aborigines, but....

Crockadillo!

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Beldan jolts the massive creature one good time, leaving scorch marks on the side of it's head. Its skeleton lights up under the shell for the merest of seconds. At the back end, a pile of round, greasy bullette dung squirts out as it momentarily loses its bowel functions.

Elgan's only able to penetrate the armor once again, taking another chunk out of a seemingly endless surf'n'turf buffet.

Stiggy; Altai; Oso; Gittik up to bat.....

Aw, for... You asked for this one.

Altai blasts the huge beast with searing fire.

Move to G14 before casting Scorching ray. Ray 1: attack roll 7+8+1(haste)=touch AC 16, damage 11 fire. Ray 2: attack roll 9+8+1=touch AC 18, damage 14 fire.

Should I wait for Stig before I take Gittik's turn? It'll look a lot like the last one ;D

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Yeah; I reckon we oughtta wait til everybody's gone again; I'm about to crash anyway's.

Two jets of flame scorch the massive bullette, adding to the inflicted carnage on the massive and inauthentic thing from another epoch.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Gittik lays into the beast again; everyting but the allready known miss hits; all the crits crit; 70 hp in damage if my maths is correct;
the thing still plods on, dripping bullettegore all about the place from the wee shredder.

Gittik's swimming in buckets of chum.

Male Human Wizard 15 (Conjuration specialist)

Stig doesn't need to make a move action - he can 5' step from I8 to H7 and then start pounding the giant plastic monster. This way, he gets a full atack, the bonus attack from Haste and avoids an AoO as he closes in.

Male Human Barbarian1/Cleric10

I7, I believe Ottar is in H7. But yes he can full attack. 70 pts of damage may mean that Heathy let him anyway.

Oso unlimbers his broadsword and slices at the nearest leg, trying to down the vicious beast.

Rage, borrow Improved Critical feat, power attack and hasted First Attack 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15, damage 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8, Hasted attack 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20, damage 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11, Second attack 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19, damage 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17. AC downs by 2.

Oso lays into the beast, but can't seem to hack through the thing's thick hide...

Ottar takes his swing (derpderp!!!) and doesn't even connect (rolled a measily 6--or am I.....afraid of being accused of dmpc overlove?)
he looks over towards Stiggy; hopes Stig didn't notice the failure....

And........Stiggy's up to bat......

Sorry I couldn't connect after my last post.

att1 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (3) + 20 = 23

Yah you don't need these now, but maybe later.

att1 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (1) + 20 = 21
dam1 2d6 + 24 ⇒ (1, 4) + 24 = 29
att2 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (16) + 15 = 31
dam2 2d6 + 24 ⇒ (2, 4) + 24 = 30

I just noticed Pip's post that we take +2. I only to +1 to hit. F@@@ it takes me 5-10 minutes to download a page.

Fumble! Looks like the booze is hitting Stig hard. Hopefully he doesn't get "swallied" up again.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

F#&#! You're not kidding.

Stig has 2 attacks +1 from haste; I'll take the first of the second set as the hasted attack I guess.

The first two swings from Stiggy connect really well; Stiggy misses on the third hasteswing.

58 in damage from Stiggy.

Ottar swings twice; connecting both times ; one is a critical cos he's the dm's pet npc.

47 from the Fruztii.

The other guys plink some crossbow bolts at the bullette; one hits for 6 h.p. in damage.

The thing still walks.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

IT'S turn, it wheels and attacks the Stiggster.

Bite whiffs air, two claws connect; Stiggy takes some really really low rolls for 45 h.p. in damage.

GROUP'S ATTACK!!!

Just use Stig's fumble above. I think you'll need one extra attack for haste:

atthaste 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (10) + 20 = 30
damhaste 2d6 + 24 ⇒ (4, 6) + 24 = 34

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Stig's on the cusp of two rounds; I now use the second attack from above, the haste attack immediately above, and the Stiginator has one more attack at max for the current round.
So far, the current new round, he's put 65 h.p. in damage on the thing; it's getting pretty shreddly.

Just ignore that i don't make sense. ANything I post is based on seeing this page 30 minutes before I post. SO how many attacks this round?

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Right here, right now, one more. this is funny!

1d20+15 2d6 + 24 ⇒ (3, 3) + 24 = 30

I finally had to log into the remote desktop on a US server. Now I get my pages in 2 minutes instead of 10 or more.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

What was the result of the d20 roll? It's not apparent.......

Male Human Rogue 14

Paizo is running slow for me atm too.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

aaaaaarg!
I'll be back in an hour.....gotta go pick up some stuff from th' sto.

Male Human Rogue 14

Beldan pulls the trigger on the lightning gun again. Ranged touch: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16 Damage: 5d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 1, 3) = 12

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Another jolt....more bullette dung. Now it's sneezing up gobs of bloody foaming snot. It's on its last legs now.

Looks like Elgan, Altai, Gittik, Oso, Pip left; Stigg's got one more attack coming to him.

Male Human Wizard 15 (Conjuration specialist)

I'm delaying until after Stig and Oso. No point in wasting spells if they can bring it down.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Right on.....use an at will power....oh wait...

Male Wild Elf Druid 14(Shifter version, PHBII)

Oopsie! fergot teh +1 fer hasties,... oh well,... THIS time its in there!

ElganBeast roars in frustration, and begins playing a lively staccato drumbeat on the critters armored back,...

1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 301d8 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 141d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 301d6 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 141d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 241d6 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 171d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 251d8 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

dungeonmaster heathy wrote:

WTF?

1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22

Male Human Barbarian1/Cleric10

Finally decided how to spend his wonga. Oso will upgrade his amulet of natural armour to +2 (6,000gp), same for his darkwood shield (3,000gp), get the magical bonus on his elven chain increased to +3 (5,000gp) and spend a night in vigil over his bastard sword, Voidwand, praying for it to be Keen (had 12,210gp to spend on sword, have spent 10,000gp on the upgrade). Lastly he will visit the local ring shop and get himself a ring of counterspells (5,000gp) and put dispel magic in it. That is 18,000gp in total, so he will bank the rest 385 gold, 7sp and 2cp.

Oso slices down at the bulette leg then up into the vitals behind.

Rage, power attack, hasted, first attack 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16, damage 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17, hasted attack 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19, damage 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14, and secondary attack 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23, damage 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Elgan hits a whole bunch this time out; Oso and Stig hit; between the three of them they rack up 103 h.p. and that's just Stiggy hitting that last d20 roll.......
the bullette is no more. It is a late bullette.

Beldan sees a vulture land in the tree next to him; looks at the bullette then at him, then back at the bullette.

xp=3,600 each!

Pip switches up during his rendition of Franciscus Goes To Holy Wood's tune to shoot his lightning gun at the landshark.

5d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 6, 1, 1) = 14

Hey was it ever determined if we can recharge these lil' gems?

Oh, some stuff on Bulette armor:

Spoiler:
Dwarves have long treasured bulettes for their thick hides
and armor plating. In fact, some dwarf clans require their
young to travel on long pilgrimages to areas thick with land
sharks to hunt the reclusive and vicious beasts, intent on
harvesting their plates for armor. A single adult male bulette
has enough armor plating and hide to produce two sets of
Medium bulette plate mail and four sets of Medium leather
or studded leather armor. These armor sets are more often
than not imbued with the delving armor quality, and veteran
dwarf bulette hunters are rarely seen without their +1 delving
bulette full plate while on the hunt. Creating bulette armor
from the creature’s hide requires a skilled armorer; crafted
bulette armor may be normal or masterwork quality.
A set of bulette plate is functionally similar to metal
full plate, but is prized by wealthy collectors and military
commanders the world over, and tends to sell for up to 10
times more than a normal set. Bulette full plate is slightly
heavier (65 pounds) than regular steel plate, but is more
flexible and durable (max Dex bonus +2, hardness 12).
A suit of bulette leather armor weighs 20 pounds, and
its appearance matches the coloration of the landshark
from which it was made. It sells for 50 gp, but has the same
statistics as studded leather.
Bulette Bulwark (Shield)
Aura Faint abjuration; CL 9th
Slot shield; Price 9,157 gp; Weight 15 lbs.
DESCRIPTION
Fashioned from a bulette’s neck armor, this +3 heavy
shield is as hard as steel (hardness 10, 20 hp). Because it
is not made of metal, druids can use it without penalty.
CONSTRUCTION
Requirements Craft Magic Arms and Armor, 1 intact set
of neck plates from a bulette; Cost 4,657 gp, 360 XP
Delving (Armor Quality)
Aura faint transmutation; CL 5th
Price +2 bonus
Description
Wearing armor with this quality grants you a burrow
speed of 10 feet. This speed allows you to tunnel
through any type of soil, including rocky soil, but not
actual stone. This quality does not give you the ability to
breathe underground, so you must hold your breath or
use other magic that provides air. You gain a +4 bonus
on all saving throws against landslides, avalanches,
tunnel collapses, and similar effects. This armor quality
may not be applied to shields.
Construction
Requirements Craft Magic Arms and Armor, soften earth
and stone, 25 lbs. of bulette armor plating
