Oso staggers with the jackhammer fist.

Fort Save 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

*retch......gasp...retch* Adam West batman fight is it?

Pip takes a moment to cast Haste on the group

"Everybody was Kung-Fu fighting
*shah!*
Those cats were fast as lightning ..."

He leads Stiggy northwards, through the hallways, into a longish seacave, and onto a beach bordering the waterway there.
There's a fifteen foot dock, and a rowboat; he gets in.
"I want to show you something....."
he rows the boat to the entrance to the seacave, then stops.
The mouth of the cave opens onto solid white fog; you can't see anything at all.
"I....assume that, exiting this cave here is.....the upper world....however,.....this fog won't allow me to penetrate it....
Um, you, being from the surface, I wanted your opinion: is this normal? I have no experience on which to judge."

"nae.."

<Looks it over. Tries to go through.>

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

(stiggy)
the boat seems to penetrate the fog about a foot, but won't proceed through it any further.

"OOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!!!"

Oso's nauseated by the punch; Gittik saves from the kick.

Though the hobniz can tell it hurts, it just makes him madder, and his pelvis isn't shattered; his whole groin just feels like it's being stabbed by a thousand darning needles.

Did Oso include the +2 bardic bonus? If not, he just made it.

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

I don't think he did; since he had a +10 on his roll, and his "fort" is +10.
I'm pretty sure that the bardic music is acting as sonic phenergan and taking the nausea away.....

(Male Human Wizard 14 (Conjuration school))

Altai blasts a freak monk with a faceful of fire.

No move. I'm casting Scorching ray on the monk Gittik hit last round. Ray 1: 12+7+2(bard)+1(haste)=touch AC 22, damage 13+2(bard)=15. Ray 2: 10+7+2(bard)+1(haste)=touch AC 20, damage 12+2(bard)=14.

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

The two blasts connect, turning his face into a tomato peeling in the heat. He almost keeps his composure, but the pain is too much; he shrieks and through the trepanation hole his brain sizzles and spits just a little.

He fights on, though he is somewhat wounded.

Pip, Altai went; everybody else is up to bat.

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

going out to eat. Be back in a couple hours, unless I'm called in to work......not on call this evening though, past 8 pm, so I will be back some time today.

(Male Wild Elf Druid 14(Shifter version, PHBII))

With a curt gesture, Elgan directs his personal stormcloud to spit a bolt of lightning on the one that Altai scorched,...

3d6 electrical dmg:
3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3) = 12

He then casts another spell, and his skin takes on a rough, dark grey appearance as he shifts into his familiar Dire Wolf form,...

Casts stoneskin

(Male Human Barbarian1/Cleric10)

Yep, thanks chaps. Just saved thanks to Pip's vocals.

Oso whips the sword across the face of the monk before him twice.

Voidwand first attack 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27, damage 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 and second attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27, damage 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

(Male Human Wizard 14 (Conjuration school))

Don't forget that Pip hasted everyone. Chop chop!

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

not gone yet....

the monk still doesn't fall, though he's smoking out of his brainhole after the lightning blast.

Oso connects twice on his foe; the monk takes it in stride, but is bleeding.

Gittik; Beldan up.

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

oh, and Oso's got one more chop to him...

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

NOW I'm gone....

(Male Human Barbarian1/Cleric10)

Voidwand swishes again 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32, damage 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

These songs are great! Fast and loose.

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

Oso hits again; the stripes from Voidwand are adding up on the monk.

(Male Human Rogue 14)

Between friendlies and freaky monks its pretty crowded in the entry vestibule. Throwing lightning in would cause Gittik or Oso a bad day, so Beldan chooses to try to shoot through the melee at the barkeep.

Beldan takes three shots (thanks to haste), reloading as free thanks to Rapid Reload.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (8) + 17 = 25 Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Attack 2: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20 Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Attack 2: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17 Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
The above take into bonuses due to haste and bardic music, but I have not factored in cover penalties. I figure these shots will be at somewhere between –4 and –8.

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

I'll give him +4, wtf.

Beldan's first shot hit him; the other two missed.

"What da.....NOBODY makes me BLEED my OWN BLOOD in my OWN PLACE!!! YERR MARKED FA DET'TH BUDDY!!!

Gittik's up to bat, then them.

(Male Human Rogue 14)

“Yeah, I got the self mutilating monks from Hell breathing down my neck and it’s you I’m scared of buddy. Sure,” Beldan mutters as he reloads his crossbow.

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

"I can't blame ya dere, pal. Them guys is cannibules."

(Male Human Wizard 14 (Conjuration school))

"So, how come they haven't eaten you yet?"

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

"Too old and too tough."

(Male Human Rogue 14)

“Too many communicable diseases.”

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

*scratches his jibblies; laughs like Brian Blessed.*

(M Halfling Barbarian 10)

Full attack on the nearest monk in D5, and then travelling on to the next in reach at D6, anythin left over on D4.

RH Attack 1:1d20 + 20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 20 + 2 + 1 = 28, damage 1d3 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
RH Attack 2:1d20 + 15 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 15 + 2 + 1 = 22, damage 1d3 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

LH Attack 2:1d20 + 13 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 13 + 2 + 1 = 36, damage 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 plus 1d6 ⇒ 3 electricity, crit confirm 1d20 + 13 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 13 + 2 + 1 = 20, extra damage 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7.

(Male Human Wizard 14 (Conjuration school))

Note: Each of Gittik's attcks does 2 more points of damage due to bardic music. He included it on the attack rolls, but not the damage rolls.

(Male Wild Elf Druid 14(Shifter version, PHBII))

Sheesh! How can you TELL?!? I can't keep up with wildshaped Elgan's meager math, much less another characters! ;D

(M Halfling Barbarian 10)

I like to give him something to do.

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

The first monk Gittik swiped at falls with 3 blows hitting and one missing.
The crit doesn't crit the next monk who must undergo the ordeal known as the Trial by Gittik, but he swatted the monk in d6 one time pretty good.....

now the enemy.

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

The monk in c1 flurry blows Gittik; missing the dodgy hobniz 4 times.

Baldy behind the bar tries to plug Gittik with another bolt.
"1" rolled. The string on his crossbow snaps broken. He curses. A skillful curse. Throws the crossbow at Gittik. An unskillful throw.

The other two flurry on Oso; two hits out of eight swings.
Oso takes 29 h.p. in damage from the two blows.

Group's attack.

(Male Human Wizard 14 (Conjuration school))

I'm a really bad monk-fighter - with good saves and evasion, I don't have much that gets to them. So here's another Scorching ray using my Pearl of power II. Ray 1: 11+7+2(bard)+1(haste)=touch AC 21, damage 14+2(bard)=16. Ray 2: 9+7+2(bard)+1(haste)=touch AC 19, damage 11+2(bard)=13. I'm starting on the guy that got hacked by Oso; if he goes down, the next ray goes on the monk not critted by Gittik.

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

Just for clarification; "the one hacked by Oso" and the one "not critted by Gittik" I had assumed were one and the same; that would've made sense to me to do it that way....concentrate on one at a time if possible...

He takes two more blasts of fire, but does not fall. He looks like Freddy Kruger though, if he just got out of an HCl shower with 50 cats tied to him.

Elgan/Beldan/Gittik/Oso/Pip are up to bat.

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

Wow (lol) I had thought, from the counsel of the munchkins, that monks were pretty much pushovers(?)

(Male Human Wizard 14 (Conjuration school))

I agree on the concentrated attacks. Also, I thought we had established through actual playing that said munchkins are a bunch of idiots? ;P

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

Yeah; I'm thinking the same thing. Monkrock/paper/wizardscissors, anybody?....interesting how that goes down.

(M Halfling Barbarian 10)

FRANK SEES ALL

Actually, the monk/psychic warrior (also suposedly a craptastic class too) in the Eberron game who was helping out Karile in the Forgehold was quite good fun too.

(M Halfling Barbarian 10)

Full attack on the monk in who has been crisped, then anything left over on D4.

RH Attack 1: 1d20 + 20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 20 + 2 + 1 = 29, damage 1d3 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 9 + 2 = 12

LH Attack 2: 1d20 + 13 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 13 + 2 + 1 = 25, damage 1d3 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 = 9 plus 1d6 ⇒ 4 electricity

"BLAAAAAAAAAGH!"

(Male Human Rogue 14)

Beldan shoots again at the Barman. As last round, but I’ve included -4 cover penalty this time.
Attack # 1: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28 Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Attack # 2: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29 Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Attack # 3: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

(Male Human Barbarian1/Cleric10)

Oso gives it a bit of umph this time, aiming to clear a path to that barman.

Rage, cleave feat stolen for this round, Voidwand at the first monk left before us 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20, damage 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16, haste attack 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20, damage 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13, possible cleave attack on another 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (14) + 16 = 30, damage 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18, secondary attack 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26, damage 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19, well that sucks.

Pip is going to cast Summon monster IV (a >Dire Ape<)

Pip starts a new tune

"Oh I'm an ape man,
I'm an ape ape man,
Oh I'm an ape man.

I'm a King Kong man,
I'm a voodoo man,
Oh I'm an ape man ..."

(Male Wild Elf Druid 14(Shifter version, PHBII))

Dire-Druid nods his wolf's head in beat with Pip's lively tune, obviously approving of either the tune, or his choice of animal. Or both.

Waving one paw to direct another bolt of lightning from his personal thunderhead, Bolt at one in front of Oso, 3d6

3d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 4, 3) + 2 = 12

The wolfen-druid moves up behind the warrior priest, rears up on his hind legs, and towering over Oso, reaches past him to snap and claw at his 3-eyed opponent.

Using my large reach to aid Oso while staying out of the way! :)

Bite, Dmg, Paw #1, Dmg, Paw #2, Dmg, Hasted bonus Bite, Dmg
1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 29

1d8 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 2 = 12

1d20 + 6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 2 + 2 = 16

1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 2 = 11

1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 + 2 = 18

1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 2 = 10

There, I think that's right! ;P

The cleave is not to be; Oso's secondary swing back, though, sinks in on the forearm of monk that just blocked his sword twice, showing his radius and ulna naked to the world but for a gown of spraying blood.

The monk looks; cackles; "I never saw my armbones before,..." is all he offers.

The wolfelf lightning blasts the monk, but only hits once with claw or fang.....the monk isn't long for the world.....

their attack;

(I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!)

One monk flurries on Gittik.

Gittik gets elbowed in the face but good once for 12 h.p.

The other monk flurries on Oso;
Oso's good steel armor stands up to it.

Three roguish chaps with crossbows leveled step from the sids to c4, d3, and e3; firing at Gittik, Oso, and Elgan;
Gittik's foe....breaks a string (1).

Oso gets critted; and hit again.
13 in damage and save d.c. fort 20 or Oso loses 2 points of constitution from poison!

Elgan gets hit once; 8 h.p. in damage and also a d.c. fort 20 save or Elgan loses 6 points of constitution!
The second one, the guys' bowstring broke (1 fumble).

So.....
Gittik's @ d6, Oso's @e6, Elgan's crammed in there.....(heh heh I'm going with it; he shouldn't fit but hell with it.)
Altai's @ e7, and pip and beldan are right outside the door...

a monk at c5, a monk at f5, roguish types at c4, d3, and e3, and baldy at e1 behind the bar.

Group's attack.....

(Male Human Wizard 14 (Conjuration school))

"Enough of this crap. It's time to stop playing nice..."

Great - more dodgy types... I'm casting Confusion centered on CD 3-4 intersection. That hits all of them - Will 21 or act strangely for a while.
