Not unless you will use her as part of a mission. I don't want to create more book-keeping if the PC won't be used.
I'm all for continuing with her as a secondary PC when necessary and staying as a NPC when not needed. I can level her up but if you'd rather I didn't then that's fine.

It's not for me that I'm not 'requiring' it, it's because I don't want to overload you guys with work if you aren't going to use the PCs.

If you want to use the PC then please do level them up to 9th level and give them the associated WLB.

So... I'm going to let this turn run for one more day.

Tomorrow, I'll taking the PCs to the 'Hetamon Mission'.

I think I'm taking: Caleb, Eirik, Vandomir, and Rizzola (please confirm).

Shari, please let me know whether Noravia or Elsbeth is coming.

Questions?

Female Human Inquisitor(Infiltrator)/9

If Caleb is going, Noravia is going. But Elsbeth would be willing to help with Jilia while Tillia helps with Shensen. If she's level 9 then she can use the scroll. I'll level her up when I have a moment.

The emotional ups and downs of the last little while took their toll on Noravia and she suddenly felt very spent. “You're right. You've always been right when it came to Thrune. We can view this as a blessing in disguise. In the future, we'll be more vigilant and suspicious. We'll need to question everything.”
Caleb took Noravia's hands in his own, and looked earnestly into her eyes. "Not always right. I always see the darker side. I never expected we could get as far as we have." He smiled, a shy little smile "I love you for many things, Noravia Jeggare, but I think the fact you have hope is the one I most treasure. When I'm with you, like this, I sometimes think I see a happy ending for us."

Noravia blushed as the butterflies erupted in her stomach as Caleb's gaze focused on her. Even after all the time they'd spent together, he could make her feel like the only one in the world when he looked at her. "You give me a reason to hope, Caleb." Then she decided to attempt something that Milani had revealed to her. Focusing her thoughts on Caleb, she reached out for his mind. My favorite part of the day is me being with you like this. I will do everything in my power to ensure we have our happy ending.

It doesn't say that Bonded Mind has to be used during combat so Noravia's trying it out.
My reading is this is a non-magical effect, and just represents knowing the other person's body language so well you can understand what they're thinking? Also I'm not sure if CC can return a message so...
"I wish I could stop time. That we could stay here, like this. That we could shut the doors on the outer world, and just have our time together." Caleb agreed.

Yet another aside (sorry all)
"Alright, everyone get ready, meet back here in half... no, make it an hour." Caleb suggested. "Noravia, we need to talk."

Caleb led Noravia down to their room, steps hesitant, yet determined. Once there he expelled Ves, shooed her out, closed the door and latched it.

"Alright. I... I think I owe you this. I said I'd been talking to Ves? About a question? I was asking about Ceremonies." Caleb gathered his courage and rushed on, words speeding up. "Callistria isn't really big on anything permanent - apparently Elves don't really see things that way - but I know you and... Anyway, I'd been asking what there was. Turns out there's all sorts of rituals for short term things, but not much for anything longer. Ves did find me something though, and I've been trying to adapt it. That's what I was talking about upstairs. I guess it's the Gods smiling on us that I did, because its sure going to be useful, but it was meant for just you and me - you know? I was trying to find something to indicate how I felt about you. Not just a present, but something... right? I thought it was going to be this beautiful thing, with cold wine, and a hot fire, and maybe music nearby - but now its about to be this thing with everyone, and its cold, and hard, and necessary. I thought everything was getting done, and now there's just more of it to go, and its worse, and I don't know if we'll ever get through it. Ves bangs on the door, and he stops, dead.

"Noravia Jeggare. Will you marry me?"

Noravia knew that Caleb was acting strangely and the fact that he made Ves leave the room actually concerned the inquisitor. She was expecting the worst and braced herself for such.

"Noravia Jeggare. Will you marry me?"

Noravia's jaw dropped and she stood there stunned, just looking at Caleb. Did she hear him correctly?

Ves banged on the door again which brought Noravia back to her senses. "Yes", she blurted. Then she was overwhelmed by excitement and joy to the point where she actually squealed and said more emphatically, "Yes!" She embraced him fiercely before giving him a long kiss. When they finally broke apart she chuckled and shook her head, "Caleb, only you could make me act like a silly school girl."

She wanted to ask him if he was sure, to make certain that this was something he wanted to do rather than something he thought only she wanted. But of course she didn't because they had never discussed anything permanent so she was satisfied that this was completely his decision and something he desired as well.

Ves continued to pound on the door. Noravia sighed, not wanting the moment to end. "I guess you should let her in. And Caleb, should we tell the others?"

I think this is a good time for Eirik to activate Qinggong Power, Barskin. Natural AC bonus from the power just went up, so that's +4 nat AC for the next 90 minutes. Also, Eirik's new style strike will become the new default instead of the DR-ignoring strike, but more of that once we get into combat rounds ;^)

"I see it," Eirik said, closing his eyes for just a moment as the monk altered the flow of Ki through his body's natural channels, pouring more power into the sacral chakra. The root of violence and survival instinct, as well as the body's base resides responded, readying his body for danger by thickening his skin into natural armor.

I honestly never thought this would be something I'd be contemplating. But it sounds fun. Like a big party." She finally processed everything Caleb had said and concern coloured her face. "Is that safe? This commingling? You're not going to spread yourself too thin or endanger yourself are you?"

The knocking was becoming incessant. "Is Ves against this? Is that why she's so persistent in trying to get in here? Or is she that keen on congratulating us?"

Hetamon was missing. Her Uncle Hetamon was missing and it seemed that the Ravens were sending a party after him. She had missed out on the fun at the ball, fun being a subjective word, and then didn't know Hetamon was gone. She was about to make her way to the hideout and demand to be allowed to help rescue the tiefling but found that demanding wasn't necessary. It seemed they had already decided to take her with them since Tillia was staying behind, something about research on something or other, and she was greatly relieve at this happenstance.

As they made their way into the sewers to get into the place Hetamon was supposedly at Rizolla cast a pair of protection spell to keep her safe from harm. How, exactly, Hetamon got down here and the Ravens found out the strikingly draconic looking woman didn't know. The fact they were entering through the sewers was rather annoying as the smell was going to be atrocious but at least they wouldn't have to worry much about the Dottari. Her worry left Rizolla a bit too relaxed and she failed to see the danger beneath the waves/

I cast mage armor and false life before we enter the sewers. Both last 9 hours.

Is the thing large? Does it fill up the hallway? If not, Eirik will move to as far flank as he can get without AoOs. If yes, will have to settle getting into melee range.

Reacting instinctively, Eirik hugged the wall as the naga gestured, thus managing to avoid the crackling bolt of energy entirely. Still, the near miss charged the air and set his hairs standing on end. Knowing getting close quickly was essential when dealing with hostile spellcasters, he rushed forward, hardly slowed by the sewage underfoot, launching a quick kick at the snake-creature’s scale-covered body.

Spontaneous metamagic takes place at the end of my turn, it is an exception to the rule. It takes a full round action to cast but isn't the same as a 1 round cast time. It's basically like a full attack, it goes off on my turn but I can only do a swift/free actions with it.

Spontaneous metamagic takes place at the end of my turn, it is an exception to the rule. It takes a full round action to cast but isn't the same as a 1 round cast time. It's basically like a full attack, it goes off on my turn but I can only do a swift/free actions with it.

Spontaneous Metamagic wrote:
If the spell’s normal casting time is a standard action, casting a metamagic version is a full-round action for a sorcerer or bard. (This isn’t the same as a 1-round casting time.)
1-Round cast time wrote:
A spell that takes 1 round to cast is a full-round action. It comes into effect just before the beginning of your turn in the round after you began casting the spell. You then act normally after the spell is completed.

e.g. all 1round casts are full-round actions but not all full round actions are 1 round casts.

We did it just like my post when we raided the keep.

Got it. Thank you. :)

NP, not the first time I've had to explain that to someone.

Female Human Inquisitor(Infiltrator)/9

Noravia stepped in front of Caleb, putting herself between the naga and him. She then reached forward and touched Vandomir's shoulder infusing him with the same goodness as she had Eirik.

Touch of Good to Vandomir giving him +4 to attack, ability checks, saving throws, and skill checks

I assume the naga isn't close enough for Noravia to attack without moving and having to make an acrobatics check?

Male Chelaxian Freedom Fighter / 9

Give me a few! Was traveling to GenCon today! I'll get a post up tonight.

Male Chelaxian Freedom Fighter / 9

Vandomir's chest hurt. He wasn't sure if the bolt had come from the creature, or somewhere else. He was sure they could figure that detail out later. The creature was going down. Vandomir launched a volley of arrows at the Naga...

With Noravia's buff, rapid shot, Point Blank shot, and Deadly Aim...

...and when he was finished, one of his arrows had struck the creature true.

Out of town so no recap tonight. Hopefully tomorrow when I get home but it will depend on what time I get back.

Oh wow, this does not look good for our hero. Does something bad happen when the Jellys are struck? Also, I don't think C has the charm of fate anymore, does he?

5' step south, go to town on the worm to get rid of it

Dodging around the second bolt of electricity, Eirik took a step to close the distance to the magic-wielding creature and launched a flurry of punches, his Ki-infused fists smashing the serpentine body to the wall and held it there as strike after strike landed, shattering scales and pulping flesh.

Piercing and slashing damage splits the 'blobs' and no charm of fate for Caleb. :(

Caleb, Rizolla, Vandomir...

Recapping later today...

Stats

Caleb panicked. Normally he could find a spot where he could spend a moment in quiet concentration - but not here. The blobs had him boxed. They didn't seem to have a head, which was a pretty good sign they didn't have a mind. All his normal tricks were problematic.
"Come on!" he yelled to Noravia, and bolted for Eirik. As he approached the first jelly he jumped up, running on the wall, bouncing off an old crack in a wall and flipping over to the other wall, then once again flipping over to land smoothly on the other side - and run.
Acrobatics to leap one Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24. Not sure which sections are affected by slowed move. If possible, Standard: Total Defence. Ac +6, to 27.

Oops, this did not make it into the turn recap but feel free to use for this next round since Caleb is still alive. :)

Game on!

Female Human Inquisitor(Infiltrator)/9

Noravia continued to bludgeon the blob before her. "I will fall and be easy prey if I follow, Caleb. Just keep yourself safe."

As she spoke she raised her weapon and smashed it down a couple times.

+2 frost morningstar: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
damage: 1d8 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 4 + (1) = 10
+2 frost morningstar: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
damage: 1d8 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 4 + (4) = 13

More pieces of orange jelly broke off as its flesh froze and shattered under the inquisitor's blows.
