No, I'm letting you take a free 5' step. Besides, there's no AoO from people who haven't acted yet.

Also, feel free to change your spell list now that you know a little more about the mission (but just this once).

Yikes! My spidey sense always goes off when the GM is 'helpful'. I'll adjust her spell list and let you know later tonight. Thanks :)

Hearing the smack across Elsbeth's face Rizolla turned to face Lacius and gestured with a few words calling up another batch of electricity. I'm OK with most of it but I don't think you could have guessed that your weapons would be taken away so only keep one of the following: blessed fist, instant weapon, or desperate weapon.

Of course, replace whatever two spells you discard.

Lacius is almost done for so any hit will put him under...

You can't blame a girl for trying :) I fixed her spells and they should be ok but let me know if they aren't.

The backhand to her face brought back many memories and feelings that Elsbeth had tried to suppress. As she wiped the blood from her lip all she could see was her husband Yan's face. She snarled, "You'll have to do better than that this time." She responded with an unexpected left hook that was so filled with anger that it shattered Lacius' cheekbone. As he crumpled to the ground, Elsbeth continued to kick him in the abdomen until Rizolla pulled her off.

I know I may have overstepped poetic license but I'll let the GM sort that out. Will gladly change it if told to.

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17 What is this stuggle you speak about? I hear no such thing.

Eirik could not help worrying about the ladies and how they'd deal with their gentlemen callers. But there was very little they could do about it, since he doubted there was any reason the guards outside would accept for them going over to check on them.

"Well, unless you see something I'm missing, we are not going to infiltrate the keep by stealth, not before quite a few of the guards outside are dealth with. So we should prepare for that. The food we were promised should arrive shortly, if for no other reason then because the people in cooking duty would want to turn in for the night. If we could subdue the people bringing us our meals without alerting the guards outside, then got them in on some pretext and took them down as well... at least it'd be a start."

You talking about C3c and C3d? Would suit me mighty fine, but there were guards on the C5 (stable) door we'll have to deal with first to reach those side rooms.

We are go for violence, right? We'd have had a bit of IC time to decide. But I don't think we are going to get a much better chance. So, unless someone wants to wait for some other opportunity, I say we go for it. Fabian, I assume as can move around the room a little bit before launching the surprise action, so that we don't have to waste the single action for moving to get in reach?

With their would be paramours dealt with Rizolla looked at Elsbeth and then seemed to realize something. Her face drained slightly and she said, "Look, I..." She took a deep breath to calm her panic and said, "Don't tell anyone what I said, that I'm not a tiefling...please." She seemed quite upset as she spoke, something that would likely seem odd since most people who weren't tieflings would be happy they weren't yet here was this beautiful sorceress who was upset that she wasn't a tiefling and had been found out. She seemed worried about what Elsbeth thought of the revelation and quite vulnerable at the moment.

Male Dwarf Bard 9 HP: 86/90 AC: 13 TCH: 10 FF: 23 CMD: 19 | F+4*, R+9*, W+6*

Action 1

I'll assume Eirik affirms that we are going to thump the food delivery guards.

"Very well," Hawthorne said as he started pulling his armor out of his backpack to put it on, "when the guards bring food, we hammer them hard. As the one guard said earlier, they are just guys doing their jobs. I will use the sap, no need to kill unnecessarily. Let me try and get in first licks please."

Action 3

Bluff: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17 to bluff my peaceful intent as I move.

Hawthorne took a moment to study the first guard. When complete, he began moving to retrieve the dropped boots, his saps in hand. This action brought him closer to the guard that was speaking. Luckily, the saps, being leather bags filled with sand appeared simply as the rags with which he would clean the boots themselves. When the guard asked about the ladies, Hawthorne was right next to him and reaching for the boots. He looked up and responded, "we thought they were with you," as he proceeded to beat down the guard without any further comment...

Studied Target for +1/+1; I don't believe I can get to flanking, but he should be surprised.

Sap Hit: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 1 = 17
Sap Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 4d6 ⇒ (3) + 1 + (4, 2, 4, 5) = 19

Sap Hit: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 1 = 19
Sap Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 4d6 ⇒ (2) + 1 + (5, 4, 1, 4) = 17

Hawthorne's twin saps lashed out in a devastating assault against the guard, who dropped to the ground without a further word.

If I am flanking, then I get +4 more to hit, and another 1d6 of sneak damage.

If I can't attack twice, then I would have +2 more to hit on the first attack.

Since Hawthorne took the one by the door Eirik will focus on the closer one.

Eirik took a step closer and knelt on the floor with an exaggerated grunt of effort as if eager to explore the possibilities of free bread and jerky. From the corner of his eye he spied the Hawthorne moving over to the man by the door. The monk rummaged in the sack while waiting for the right moment...

When the halfling put his hand to a pocket Eirik acted. Rising from his deep crouch, the monk's open palm impacted with the surprised guard's chin with stunning force, snapping the man's head back.

Melee, unarmed: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18 Should be enough, considering the enemy is flat-footed... Let's add one of those DC16 Stunning Fists while we are at it.... might even do something.

Action 2:

Elsbeth took a few deep breaths, shocked that she had responded the way that she had and more than a little embarrassed. Fighting for the oppressed was one thing, losing control and beating someone to death was not exactly how a Milanite cleric should act - even if it was understandable based on her past. She began to drag the bodies to the back corner so they wouldn't readily be spotted if someone entered. Just as she was going to ask Rizolla to keep her violent secret, she was asked by the sorceress to keep hers. Honestly it hadn't really registered with Elsbeth what had been said until that moment, nor did it make any difference to the cleric but she could tell it meant a lot to Rizolla. Giving her a conspiratorial look she says, "I won't tell anyone about anything that happened here if you don't. If anyone asks, they're dead, end of story. No one said anything and no one did anything that was out of character."

Action 3:

Elsbeth stepped closer to the door to listen to what was happening. "That must be the food that was promised," she whispers to Rizolla. "And one of them is asking about us. I wonder if the boys are going to try anything."

If there is a lot of noise generated by the guys, Elsbeth will use her Silence scroll if she thinks it'll help them get the job done without being detected by other guards.

On the assumption that Eirik just took out this poor guy...
Hob flinched for a second as Eirik stepped up to deal with his opponent, and looked over to see Hawthorne comfortable with the second man.
He stepped back a few feet, then reached into his pouch for a trinket he'd made from the tooth of a Hag who'd nearly killed him. The Hag had disguised herself as a fellow smith, and it seemed only fitting that he return the favour. Snapping the carved icon in half, he felt the tiny runes that covered it release their power.
Hob shimmered for a second, and where a man had stood now stood a monster. Eight feet tall, with skin like cast iron, claws like blades, and teeth like chisels, the Annis Hag threw back her head and cackled. Hob moved in line of sight of the door, apparently ready to rend and tear any survivors. As he moved it became clearer that there was something wrong with his shape; Annis Hags were exclusively female, whereas Hob's spell had created something male. Justification for the terrible disguise roll he made below. Was hoping to convince them we were a party of Hags. Ah well.

Casting Silence and want to focus it outside the door and slightly north so that any noise generated from C3c, C3d, or C5 won't penetrate into the courtyard. Elsbeth won't know about Hob's transformation.

Male Human Monk (unchained) 11

Were there guards outside the stable doors? And weren’t there some folks patrolling the yard? Could you add those on the map, unless they all buggered off when we weren’t looking ;^)

Anyway… best try to help Hawthorne to deal with the last immediate threat… we even have the same initiative modifier so we literally act in the same instant, so not much point trying to see if one of us gets the man before the other.

Melee, unarmed: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34
Damage, unarmed, lethal: 1d10 + 1d6 + 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + (3) + (2) + 1 + 1 = 12 Need to make sure the fellow drops now so here's some lethal damage... since Hawthorne's been sapping the fellow should still be alive in the end.

Eirik moved forward to help Hawthorne deal with the last guard, realizing midstep that he had stepped into a sphere of enchanted silence. So the girls were on top of their own game and had dealt with their gentlemen callers, he assumed. Unnoticed too. Too bad the three of them hadn't been as lucky. Though it had never been more than a matter of time before their ruse failed.

Eirik ended his rush in a spinning high kick, the heel of his boot striking the guard behind his right ear. The man's eyes rolled up and he fell down in eerie silence, already ignored by the monk who was busy peering through the doorway into the yard, looking for other immediate threats coming their way.

Hob should have a 10' space as large. I think that means he's half in and half out of the bubble.
A moment of disturbance came over Hob. A sudden dizziness. He feared a spell, only to realise it was that his right ear had gone deaf. His new instincts called on him to tear this threat to shreds, but he noted the man was using the butt of his weapon - rather than the razor sharp tip. Desperately he held down his instinctive response. delay

If Hawthorne and Eirik take the guy down
Hob stepped back, away from the silence. Murmuring in a voice so low it was felt in the stomach as much as heard in the ears, he activated armourer's runes carefully sewn onto his clothing.
Move back. Bull's Strength.

If Hawthorne and Eirik don't take the guy down
Hob stooped, long hands draping, and grabbed the bag of shoes. Flailing it overhead two handed he bought it down on the guard
assuming miss - given below
- only to have it catch on the ceiling and tear, as a rain of boots fell on everyone.
Pick up is a move that provokes, I think. Improvised weapon -4. Perfection of self for another round. Power Attack. GUESSING a d6 nonlethal... yes I realise this is a tactically terrible idea and I'd be better off full attacking for nonlethal.

Rizolla nodded, "I can make myself invisible, but if you're willing to give me the potion and open that door it'll save me a spell and time. Once I get out there I'm going to find a nice group of targets and start electrocuting them."

Elsbeth hesitated, "I wouldn't be able to help you then. They'd be able to see me and I'd be a sitting duck. But if you're ok with that, here." The cleric holds out her potion for Rizolla.

Rizolla shook her head after considering further, "No, go ahead and use it for yourself, just open the door for me after you have, I can cast it myself and then fly through the open door. Probably take me long enough to sight my targets that it won't really make any difference."

Can't use it myself and you're likely out of actions so can't feed it to me. This way you can at least open the door and not be shot.

Although I'll have to cast Air Walk first here because of the silence zone near the door. Next round I'll drink the potion and open the door for you.

Hawthorne started swinging himself around the guard, to get himself into a better position for his next attacks. As he did so, he swung twice...

Sap Hit: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 8 + 1 = 25
Sap Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Sap Hit: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 1 = 16
Sap Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Brother Hawthorne was quite enjoying himself, as could be told by the grin on his face. "So this got sporty kind of quickly, don't you say guys?"

That's a 5' step to start getting to a flanking position.
