This is the discussion thread for the Gulf Stream Lodge, a trans-Atlantic group playing Society scenarios.
For the players, can you please list all of the subtier 1-2 scenarios that you have played? This will ensure we do not get ourselves into a position where a scenario will be illegal.
Also, please post either a full workup of your character or a link to a valid profile that contains a full workup/character sheet. I will be checking to ensure the characters are legal. Also, if that character has played any previous sessions, please send me a link to where I can look at the chronicle sheets.
As for chronicle sheets prepared by myself, I shall get permanent storage where you will be able to access them.

Hi all, this is Derek.
Here are the Tier 1-2 scenarios I've run as a player with my main character, now a level 3 Ranger:
First Steps Part I (can receive multiple chronicles)
Season 2-01: The Bloodcove Disguise
Season 2-02: Rescue at Azlant Ridge
Season 3-01: The Frostfur Captives
Season 3-09: The Quest for Perfection Part I
Season 4-18: The Veterans Vault
With my Rogue, I am currently in a PBP game of:
Season 3-05: Tide of Twilight
I am thinking of using my Paladin for this group - I have applied just one GM chronicle to him so far, for First Steps III - I can PM you a copy later today. I will also need to update his equipment.
Thanks for GMing!
RyanH |
I have played (and/or GM'd)
We Be Goblins
First Steps Part 1 and 2
3-EX: The Cyphermage Dilemma
4–07: Severing Ties (PFRPG)
4–11: The Disappeared (PFRPG)
4–18: The Veteran's Vault (PFRPG)
4–19: The Night March of Kalkamedes
Looks like we have an inquisitor and a paladin. Many character options are appealing to me ...
- I have been building a 1st level Paladin with the goal of having Ultimate Mercy (free raise dead) by 7th level.
- I have a Race Boon for Sylph that makes a great Gunslinger build (If ANYONE has a thematic issue with Gunslinger I would not do that)
- Been toying with Summoner builds
I am open and flexible ...
When does this season's first demon module come out?
Thanagar Hol |

First Steps 2 -in progress wth Hekra
The Temple of Emyreal Enlightenment #3-21
Perils of the Pirate Pact
Mist of Mwangi 0-05

Hello,
I'll get you a character sheet next.
These are the level 1-5 mods I have left to play, minus repeatable mods:
3-11 QfP 2: On Hostile Waters 1-5
3-19 The Icebound Outpost 1-5
4-SP Race for the Runecarved Key 1-11
Alos, I did take out 1 or 2 that overlapped with mods posted by the other players.
As my list is limited i'l will gladly bow out if we cannot make the table.

Hi John, reporting as requested.
Here are the modules I've played in so far, with either Brokkus or Crar:
#47 Darkest Vengeance
#49 Among the Dead
3-21 Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment
3-23 The Goblinblood Dead
4-23 Rivalry's End
4-? Way of the Kirin
First Steps series
I'll probably go with a different character, should hopefully have stats posted up tomorrow.

I just wanted to post a link to my dropbox folder . I uploaded my one Chronicle sheet there.
I'm considering using a reach weapon (glaive, prob.) over the greatsword. Any thoughts?
Max Kesi |
This is RyanH, now posting as Max Kesi ...
Okay ... finally have a character (there are SO MANY characters I want to play!) I have not yet done a Bard, we seemed to need a buffer/skill monkey. I went Gnome (mainly for the extra languages via "Gift of Tongues".)
Things needing GM approval
1- I applied this character to my first PFS character 36007-1 that had three chronicles, but never had a character created (we be goblins and two modules I gm'd, but had already played). This makes me level 2. I am more than happy to instead make this a 0 chronicled firsty.
2- I purchased a riding dog (basically to up my speed). Let me know if this is an issue, I am more than happy to dump him. My handle animal and ride are low so it should be interesting.
Here he is (he's also in the Max Kesi Profile ... I have some more equipment I plan to buy ...

I love reach weapons. I think it really ups the tactics of combat ... keeps it interesting.
Max Kesi |
Applying the credits is no problem, and neither is the riding dog although it will indeed be interesting if you need to make any complex maneuvers.
Thanks, I will scan and post when I get a chance.

Under the comment box is "how to format your text" ... Click show on that and it shows all the formatting options. Spoilers are
[spoiler@=Movie plot spoiler]This is a spoiler, such as revealing who really did frame Roger Rabbit.[/spoiler]
DON'T PUT THE @ ... I had to put that there so that it would not convert it into a spoiler format.
My sheet format is output from Hero Lab (hero lab is well worth it). It has an option to export for message boards ... I had to add the spoiler formatting after getting the exported text

Ok,
Here is some basic info:
Male Half Orc 10576-8 Alchemist(Crypt Breaker) 1 | AC 14 T 12 FF 12 | HP 10/10 | F +4 R +4 W +1 | Init +2 | Perc +7
“The Professor” Gurka Kahn
I should have the rest of it up tonight as I have figured out the spoiler parts.
I can't do it all at work...the boss may get mad
Thanks Max

Gameplay thread up.
Yay! I posted. This is my first PbP so I will be learning format and protocols as I go. Do not hesitate to PM me if I am doing it wrong, I will not take it personally!
Minor changes to my character (I bought some more equipment and removed a language ... I thought We Be Goblins gave Goblin. It does not). My Profile has the final.
Crin Frothelthimble |
Just to get it right in my head, this is our group at the moment (have I left anyone out?):
Max Kesi - gnome bard
Thanagar Hol - half-orc inquisitor
Talwin Barnesdale - human paladin
"Professor" Gurkha Khan - half-orc alchemist
Crintalabbarok (call him Crin) Frothelthimble - gnome sorcerer
This group's going to be great! Will be interesting, especially as I was thinking of multiclassing Crin as a bard as well, but it looks like we have the knowledge-type skills pretty well covered already.
Here's the link to Crin's profile.
Character is done, but I think there might be a few details I've yet to post up, will do so when I'm at home tonight.
BTW, where is everyone from? I'll be posting from the UK.
Talwin Bernhold |
I agree Crin, this group really seems like a solid assembly of classes! Melee, casting, skills all covered well. I'm in the U.S. Mountian Time Zone.
Max Kesi |
Check this out. Looks like a potentially great mapping solution for pbp (where really you just need a shared map).
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/3dvirtualtabletop/3d-virtual-tabletop-v isually-stunning-rpgs-on-ipad?ref=live
I currently use Roll20 for all my maps or face to face gaming. The dynamic lighting is excellent.
CrazyHedgehog |
Will have to have another look at Roll20 for my own maps, it sounds intriguing.
John, just to let you that I've updated Crin's profile again, kept forgetting to transfer over bits when I was creating the character. I think that's everything now, wanted to let you know in case you were keeping track of our stats.
Max Kesi |
At the bottom of the entry box, there's the button for showing formatting options ... "show". Dice are included in there with other options ... it's
(dice=Perception)1d20 + 3; 1d6 + 2(/dice)
Instead of parentheses ( ) use brackets [ ] (I had to use parentheses so it did not convert it to a roll and hide the formatting.)
Instead of writing "perception" you could put anything there, like we just did "Perception, for looking around" in the recent post.
The above example rolls two dice ... as follows.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 141d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
And once it's in there, even if you go back and edit your post, the original number rolled stays. Pretty cool.
The photo at this link shows my comment entry box.
You can see near the middle the "Show" button. In the image I have clicked it and the formatting options have shown up. Dice formatting is the last example.

Huh, that earlier virtual table top link does not work ... it's worth checking out ... 3D Virtual Table Top.
