Another Psion would be cool, and I was thinking of when we would get leadership as a feat, its really a must have if we want followers.
As its a level 8 feat, could be a long time before we get to a stage where we have any like a Guild each. Its sounding more and more like a group guild is the best way to go at this low level. I don't really mine ether way for my PC she can fit into her own or one group one. As for what the guild dos. An all round investigation or pathfinder like guild seems to be where most want to be.

Guys I am going to take a step back on this, until see how things pan out. Just been given a place in another game and want to spend time on that.

I wish you all the best of luck.

Na its pretty easy for the GM to say You have 3 people who are interested in your guild and wish to join, they will listen to you and generally follow your orders, however they are neither puppets nor slaves. and there you have npcs to interact with :)
You wont get a cohort but followers are easy enough to get.

@ Gobo Horde: it's option # 5. It's completely possible to build your own guild from the ground up. You can certainly augment this by adventuring, but I don't plan on giving more than standard wealth per encounter. We'll go with a simple majority vote to decide when to adventure and when to run the down-time system.

I mentioned this before, but I'll run over it again: The game will start with a dungeon adventure. It will allow the characters a chance to get to know each other, earn some XP, and earn some gold to invest into capital, or whatever. Once the start-up encounter is finished, the players will vote on whether to keep adventuring or to do a week of down-time. After a week of down-time the players will vote again: down-time, or adventure.

In the adventure setting, likewise, there will be a vote at certain points of the adventure, to see if most want to do down-time, though there may be times when the story would prevent down-time activities. For instance, if the characters managed to get themselves lost in the Undercity, that would have to to be resolved before any down-time operations could be continued.

There will be no division of players. Either all are doing down-time, or all are cooperating in adventuring. Whether players cooperate with their down-time guild building, or not, is completely optional. Players will have free reign in this area.

Which is cool

If need be I am cool being allied with other guilds. Makes my guilds job easier

Question for the GM. Since this in an anarchic refuge for all kinds of people.

I wanted to put out the idea of a monster guild. As there are centaurs and naga and stuff like that in the city. It would make sense for them to band together. As for what they would do, I thought bounty hunting guild, smugglers, and even just hunting food for the city and taking on non sentient monsters or monsters that endanger the chaotic peace of the city.

That's actually a cool idea. I'll have to look through Ultimate Campaign and see if the rules could support something like that. I don't want to do custom stuff, because I'll be using Hero Lab to track the guilds.

Yeah, I'ma have to back out, nothings coming together in my head. Luck Y'all!

I was planning on this being my character(minus the Inquisitor stuff) , however, if I could somehow be a monster-ish race as seemingly suggested by Bane, I would totes jump on that.

No, not going to change the races allowed, this late in the game.

Was thinking of making a character.

Do you require an Alias or just the make-up (crunch) of the PC we want to make?

I have not run or played in any of the Ult. Campaign stuff so guild making is 100% new to me. Do I still have an equal shot at getting in?

Any Paizo classes are fair game then? How about archetypes?

Not the play-test classes. Also I'm allowing Ultimate Psionics. Yeah, Archetypes OK. I don't need an alias at this time, but back ground/description will improve your chances.

It will be more than just guild-building. Players will have opportunity to adventure to gain XP. (I'm removing the 'Earn XP' option from the list of possible activities, so adventuring will be the only way to level up.)

The cut-off date is Oct 31, 2015.

That's fine for races, but if I was a half orc or half giant, could I still do the bounty hunter monsters guild idea?

The short answer: No. I just want to use standard teams. Those listed in the book.

I suppose you could describe your teams as being exotic races, but it would have zero effect on the crunch of the game. For example you could say your team of archers were centaurs, or hobgoblins, but they would perform exactly the same as a standard human team of archers. I know that's a little unsatisfactory, but there it is.

Ok.! Time for me to put my focus on getting my submission up for this game :)
At its core I will be a Human Psion (Nomad) with the Speed of Thought feat. He will be rocking a 50ft ms (which he will promptly ignore by Lvl 2-3 where he starts teleporting 15-20ft instead).
He will initially have little little ambition to start a guild but have a burning desire to explore the world around him and map it out (craft: maps). As he goes on his first adventure with the rest of the party he will start to like the idea of creating a guild where he can gather other people who share an ambition to explore and thrus start his very own explorers guild. Here his peeps can hire themselves out as scouts and guides, as well as being able to sell any drawn maps that they have made for profit.

Edit: thinking about it, playing as an Elan is just so much more mechanically superior for the defensive abilities it has, allowing me to play a lot more carefree and loose as I don't have to worry about being squishy. I guess I will build him up with that in mind. (And I have a great idea about how he was created from Gnomish stock so actually I like this idea ^-^).

gilthanis here.

I got into an AP, so I should drop out--I'll have too many games. Good luck, y'all!

Is there a selection date for this game yet? I couldn't find one listed.

Halloween.

Ok very interested in this. Currently thinking of playing a kineticist of some sort. Most likely a aether user with a sneaky build. As for a guild, I'm thinking more of a bank as opposed to guild. Sort of an investment bank built on exploring new interests.

Well, times up. I'll be making the selections now.

Crossing my fingers.

So... It's not going real well.

Jared Stark: You have 10 vials of ink. A wizard's average starting gold is 70 gp. 10 vials of black ink cost 80 gp. Character loaded into hero-lab fine, other than the equipment questions.

Silas Lavein: You are over by 1 skill point. You took languages that are not from the elf list. Without a holy symbol and a spell component pouch, it may be hard to cast spells. (It's not mandatory to have proper gear, but it might be wise.)

Elijah Moore: Traits? Another feat? Those two things jumped right out at me.

Ebonfeather the Black: You are 2 points over on your ability buy. You are 1 point overspent on your skills.

Kalmafien: Lawful evil?

Zorin Blitz: Starting Languages...

I might have missed someone. If so, do speak up.

Kal is from a different game, sorry. Let me fix that.

Edit: Kal should be legal based on your creation guidelines. Gotta just grab an actual language(for my one point in Linguistics) and my two traits.

fixed :) I don't know how I missed that lol

10 is a typo somehow. Should be 1. Can't imagine why I'd need 10 vials of ink.

Pretend to be an Octopus?

Oh, looks like I just accidentally deleted my items. Think I fixed it, and yeah, I had the skill points miscounted. Not a big change.

Also: Silas took campaign setting (Golarion) languages. By default, these are not on any race/class's list, because they are setting material and not SRD, but I figured they'd be more accessible and more likely than, say, Gnome or Draconic (why would *anyone* doing trade in Varisia *not* be expected to start out knowing Varisian?)

Sorry about that. Here is a updated sheet with my starting languages. Zorin

Okay everything updated!

Ebonfeather: Inferring from what you have, your abilities should be: 14, 16, 12, 14, 16, 10.

Zorin Blitz: I liked the background story BTW. You are good to go, except: You need to select your extracts for the day.

Silas Lavein: Actually, the Inner Sea World Guide lists common and elven as the automatically known languages for elves. It then refers you back to the Core Rulebook for bonus languages. So that would be the default.

Jared Stark: I thought it might be a typo. Actually I forgot to mention: Your spellbook can contain as many as 8 1st level spells. Also you are 1 spell short of what you can cast/day. You do need to have separate listings for spellbooks and memorized spells.

Elijah Moore: Versatile channel does not work with a cleric of Cayden Cailean. It is for neutral clerics only. You can have one more 1st level spell prepared.

Kalmafein: You seem to be missing traits and gear.

Korak: He has 100 sheets of parchment, I figured he was planning to start writing a manifesto on the dead upright society.

Hmm, I swapped it out for Improved Initiative since there is nothing else I feel goes with the concept I had in mind,

The x's next to the spells denotes that they are memorized. I find that's the easiest way to keep track of them.

I've noted that in the spells section, and fixed the ink vial thing.

I will pick the rest of my spells sometime tomorrow.

Yeah sorry I didn't see it in the stats, I went back and fixed it should read a constitution of 11

I can chance languages if you want, but it seems like a real blindspot if nobody in the party is able to start out knowing Varisian—the local language more common than common—because of that exact wording. It's clearly an issue of regional languages not being part of the SRD (and the core rules specifically strip setting material, hence it not being in there—the Inner Sea World Guide doesn't change the automatically-known languages for ANYONE).

Also, Inner Sea Races lists the option "Elven Arrogance" with "they begin play speaking only Elven, and if they have high Intelligence scores, they can select bonus languages from only 1 ancient language, Celestial, Draconic, and Sylvan." Since there are no "ancient languages" in the core game setting, but there are several traits that say "you may choose one ancient language in place of one bonus language" it stands to reason that ancient languages are not available by default (and thus I swapped out Ancient Thassilonian), but an elf living in Varisia who knows Gnome but not Varisian just seems to make zero sense.

Hi guys, well that game I got a place in drop dead before it even started, the GM had RL stuff come up so game-short once more.

So if its ok GM could I re enter recruitment PC is the same.

Sticking with the idea of a Psionic Union Collage [Psionic Guild], where students join he Guild. Its LN with that much training going on.
They also seek to fix the rates for Psioic work in the city,
The collect dues and test for free possible students.

Something like this Manner house.

I had a submission too.

Khalil Karsod: Sorry. I didn't see your character sheet. Most people put it in their profile page, which you have not created. If you have a link to a character sheet, I must have overlooked it. So, sorry about that.

Ebonfeather: You put 5 points into all your scores but Cha. This gives you a 14 in all scores but Charisma. Dex and Wis gain a +2 racial adjustment making them both 16. Constitution is adjusted by -2 giving you a 12 Con.

Everyone: I'm going to be doing a backpacking trip, so I'll be away from the internet for a couple of days over the weekend. When I get back, I'll make my selections and we'll get started. I will consider LCLDR's application.

You are right I thought my -2 went to Cha. Great I feel dumb * puts on hat and sits in corner*

He will have a cure light wounds prepared and a detect secret door spell prepared for when they go adventuring.

any news on this game start date?

Yeah, I'm back. Hiked down to Supai Falls and back out. I'm not that used to hiking, so am exhausted. That backpack was heavy. I'll make my choices tomorrow, then launch the game and discussion threads

sounds like fun

guys just been picked for another game, and I dont like to overload myself. I think it only fair I let others gain a pot i really will not have the time for now, so bowing out, all the best all.

Alright, running a little behind here.

The selected characters are: Ebonfeather, Elijah Moore, Jared Stark, and Zorin Blitz. The game-play and discussion threads will be open shortly.
