Guardians of the Moonwhisper Heir
(Inactive) Game Master
Luminiere Solas
The Baron Maximillian Moonwhisper's Neice has lived through a cursed birth, and because of her shadow tainted curse, cultists of Lamashtu desire to sacrifice the young girl and spread madness over Golarion.
Option one is good, especially if you plan on a lot of combat with tough critters.
Option two is also fine, as its the standard, if i recall.
I prefer not to roll, just in case things end up poorly, even with two rolls.
I am going to be busy all day today, but my night might be free for to me change up Akor(whose name will probably change.) Thankfully, that won't be too difficult, as the core concepts will stay the same, as I really like him.
Personally, I'm a fan of #1 particularly in a hard or relentless campaign. It really reduces the need for a healbot early in every battle.
Any of the proposed methods is OK, but #2 is my least favorite.
If you are looking for a method that guarantees decent but variable result, you could combine #1 and #2.... So each player gets one roll OR the 'average+1' - whichever is higher.
I've restructured UU's character sheet a bit to make it easier to read the important stuff. I've also incorporated Bear into her background.
Question, Wolfman... what is Umbriere's personality like, in broad terms only? UU's attachment is more towards her than her uncle and I'm trying to get a feel for the bounds of that relationship. Is Umbriere cool and distant so UU would refer to her as Lady Moonwhisper? Or is the girl more personable and less formal so they could use personal names or nicknames and be closer to friends?
If the latter, I gotta tell ya, with a name like Lady Umbriere Nera Nox Astrum Lunas Moonwhisper, informal UU would love to use 'Nox' as the Lady's nickname. :) It seems a nice hard contrast to the gauziness of her full name.
I decided to go with standard Pally instead of the WoHL archetype. Spells gives a bit more versatility which I think may be a good choice given your comments about one-trick ponies not being the best option.
DSP is here. I'm alost through with my build, but I am waiting to purchase equipment until I know whether or not my character can have made it himself.
Salis Clement(Male Human Sorcerer (Seeker Crossblooded (Umbral/Sage))
I'm not to worried about how we do HP -- Though personally I'm fine with the 'standard' 1/2HD+1, and that was what I assumed when finishing Salis.

she is more personable and less formal. kind of pushes herself despite being frequently ill. she tries to be accepting when possible. having been raised by her uncle. whom is a rather jolly fellow. nicknames are fine and she knows her name is difficult to remember.
dsp you may say you crafted your gear. you spent the feats. ill allow the discount on gear you can actually craft. anyone with the feats has that privelige
in your time hunting followers of lamashtu you have learned to counter aberrant psychology. you are immune to confusion effects and gain half your level as a circumstance bonus on saves made against the spells spell like abilities and supernatural talents of lamashtu and her followers .
bear
your time with uu has given you a unique synergy. you gain gang up and outflank as bonus feats . and you are treated as having solo tactics for this purpose. you stack your fighter and rogue levels for the purpose of meeting feat prerequisites. your devotion to uu gives you iron will as a bonus feat.

Very cool! Can I make one additional request on this (not to seem ungrateful)? As I plan to remain largely taking rogue levels, can I also take the Combat Trick rogue talent as many times as I want to really get some benefit out of stacking the two class's level for meeting feat pre-req's?
It would effectively make him able to pick up fighter bonus fears more often.
Based on that boon's wording, should my favored enemy be monstrous humanoids or aberrations? I was working off of one concept of Lamashtu in terms of who her "children" are. Wanted to make sure we're on the same page.
We are the strangest set of child-care professionals ever.
I'm combing through Bear to verify his numbers and tweak his feats now that our most gracious DM has bestowed upon me ma BOOOOON!
Also, Wolfman, are you still recruiting? Or is it over? If it's over, I'd suggest putting a post in the recruitment thread that indicates that's the case.
I realize you already made a decision on the HP thing, but I didn't realize there was a vote until after you chose. If it matters, I'd vote for max HP per level or rolling twice. :)
No sweat if you've made up your mind, though.
Also, I went ahead and updated Bear with HP, up-to-date feats and skill selections, and gear.
Now i'm just waiting to hear from you about the dM boon question i posed earlier. :)
Can't wait til this game gets going. : Rubs hands together excitedly :
Akor, i need to know a little more about your character before i can think of an appropriate boon. but here are is an attempt for the moment.
in your service of Calistria, you have brought vengeance on the behalf of others. and as you fled your former faith, you have learned to conceal youself better. you have spell resistance equal to 11+your level against divination spells and when you roll diplomacy checks made to gather information, you may roll twice and use the better result.

yes, you may take combat trick as many times as you have rogue talents if you wish.

it could be either one. i could work to accomodate both if i must. children of lamashtu count as followers for the purpose of the save bonus, as do divine casters who follow her.
Arknight here - Here's the profile for Vergian. :)
I still have a few pieces of gear to add, but I think he's covered for the most part.
Thoughts?
pretty good. i would probably list a description of the DM boon i posted in the other thread. if you have a spare 2,000 and wish to enchant your gun, go ahead.

Woot. Thanks. I'll have the finished product up by the end of the day.

Very cool. :) I'd missed that in the other thread.
Updated Profile. And I think with 7 GP and 2 SP left there's a financial stake in it for Vergian as well. :)
Oh, suuuure. Pile'em, on people. Anyone else got any pot-shots for ole' Bear?
: Pulls bowler hat lower and hunkers down :
Or are you referring to something in particular on the gear list? :)
Nooo...Nothing specific. It's just that, when my uncle Radu engaged in "horse-trading," such trades usually involved painting over mangy hair, the occasional re-inflation of depleted muscles, and a whole lot of sales made in bad lighting.
Besides, "cheap" hardly needs to be negative. Only the Baron gets to be spendthrift, and that's done him few favors.
Sounds like your uncle and my pa learned their craft together. You know the old saying... when you only got sh!t to sell, well... ya sell sh!t.
Come to think of it, that's a stupid saying. Plus, as our dear Udaya pointed out, there's only one fine gentleman standin' in here with a fine gentleman's hat on his noggin'. Guess who it aint?

:Grins: Probably the one who is no sort of gentleman.
Well, life happened and I will not be able to participate in this game after all. I'm sorry everyone. This would have been a ton of fun. Good luck to all who play.
