If Aasimar is allowed, what about Tiefling? I was thinking of using Lucifer's concept minus the magic.

Male Petrifern Phytokineticist | HP 68/68 (nonlethal 6); Burn 1 | AC 26, touch 19, FF 21; CMD 14 | Fort +10, Ref +10, Will +4 | Init +5, Perception +10 (blindsight 30 ft.)

All of that could be very interesting, DM. Question: how long do we think these bouts would last? Long enough that establishing bases and whatnot is a possibility? I'm considering going Trapper Ranger, but that's less useful if I have no real inkling of when/where to trap. I personally think a several-day-at-a-time exercise could be loads of fun.

As for teams vs. individuals, I think a team sort of setting would be really neat, but maybe include deals every now and then where we square off against one another, as like training or whatnot. Rules against maiming or killing others, etc.

Ok, Tiefling is fine. However due to the lore and campaign setting after I post the creation rules, I will be removing orc, goblins and Drow race as they are inherently evil and do not suit the campaign.

M Humanborn

so orcs goblins and drow are inherently evil, but teiflings arent? also inherently evil doesnt suit a game premise built around fighting and killing for sport?

HP 44/44; AC 20 (T 17, FF 14) +2 vs confirm criticals; CMD 22; Fort +9, Reflex +9, Will +3 ; Perception +0; Init +6; Face/Berserker; Reputation 15

So we'd all need to be from the same "district" right? If that's the case it would be better for you to pick one and tell us to all set our characters there.

male Aasimar Garuda Blooded (Plumekith)
Spoiler:
HP:44/44, AC 28, Touch 24 flat-footed 19: CMD 28(32/defensive), Perception +9: Fort +8, Ref +10, Will +9(+1vs Fear) Face/Berserker Rep 20

I too like the idea of all, the hunger games feel seems cool.

Sovereign Court

Tenro has got a point there. Alignment shouldn't have much of a bearing here because everyone is fighting for their own reasons, usually selfish. And much of the alignment is centered on survival. The setting is anything but altruistic.

- Orcs/half-orcs make sense as gladiators. In Pathfinder lore, the Hold of Belzken has its own arena.

You are right to get rid of goblin and drow for reasons below:

- Goblin gladiators are practically unheard of. Goblins are too skittish (they have a natural fear of dogs and horses). Combine with their charisma penalty due to their repulsiveness, no lanista in their right mind would want a goblin. They would be fodder.
- Drow are uncommon and reclusive in Pathfinder, only found in places like the Darklands that very few dare to venture into. Finding a captured drow in golarion is practically unheard of. Also their light sensitivity would cripple them as gladiators.

M Humanborn

^ yep

Alright then Orcs are allowed. Well the idea was that these gladiators are fighting for their settlements which is predominately humans elves dwarves etc thus races like orcs goblins and drowsy would actually prefer Ramiran to attack and create chaos for their profit.

Also Tiefling are half demons. they may not choose their ancestory ti begin with. if there is half goblins or half drow it would make sense that they mat be raised in human settlements thus the motivation to fight for their town.

Ok a few choices

Cordelon is a small, independent country on the Sellen River in the southern River Kingdoms. Its centers of population are the village of Bacul Gruii and the larger Novoboro. Once long ago, Cordelon was a staging area for the return of the elves of Kyonin from their self-imposed exile in Sovyrian. Some of them stayed behind and eventually began intermarrying with the localhuman population. Although the large majority of the people living in Cordelon now can be considered human, strong elven traits and features can be seen in most of them. The locals distrust outsiders, but welcome elves.

The inhabitants ofGralton consist almost entirely of people who have fled the ongoing revolution (some would say anarchy) in Galt. Many of those who have fled to Gralton are the old nobility of Galt. Deposed and fallen from grace, they desperately seek any means to regain what they have lost, be it by sponsoring counter-revolutionary activity, or sending parties of hapless adventurers back into Galt to search for family heirlooms left behind in the rush to escape the guillotine's blade. As the desperation of the deposed nobility grew, Gralton began to attract con-artists and tricksters. These tried to hustle the desperate nobility by offering quick fixes and false hope.[1] The town has two notable temples: one to the drunken hero deity, Cayden Cailean,[2] the other to the Vengeful Sting, Calistria. In fact, many suspect the people of Gralton to be possessed by some spirit of Calistria. So bent on vengeance against Galt are they, that many see divine intervention in their hate-filled eyes

The small, self-sufficient domain of Lambreth rose from the union of three rival merchant families, the Cullertons, the Angelidis, and the Vizcarra, who founded the city-states Maashinelle, Lockridge, and Sezgin, respectively. Fearing annexation from their neighbors, the families negotiated a union, ruling as the Triunes of Lambreth.[1] Throughout the River Kingdoms, Lambreth suffers the least from bandit attacks. Newcomers and troublemakers quickly draw the attention of the Black Eagles.[

It was to Mivon (pronounced mih-VON)[1] that many of theAldori swordlords fled after Choral the Conquerer overthrew the nation of Rostland to create modern dayBrevoy. Many swordlords settled in Mivon bringing with them the experience and knowledge of the ancient art of the swordlords. Warriorsfrom as far as wayGarund make pilgrimages to Mivon to learn the secrets of the swordlords, in order to do this the applicant must best a series of increasingly tough duels. The city also has a large fishing industry that specialises in catching eels in the pools surrounding the city. It is said that due to the violent nature of the city many of the eels have tasted human flesh and the phrase "a walk to the fishponds" has a very sinister meaning as the person normally does not return.

Riverton is a large village located on the banks ofKallas Lake in the southern River Kingdoms.[1]

Touvette is one of theRiver Kingdoms. It is borders upon Pitax to the northeast and Gralton to the west and south. It has prime farm and ranch land, and prospered under King Aven I. However, under King Aven II it started to fall apart and descended into religious warfare.General Cabol Voran launched a successful military coup, overthrew the monarchy and drove out all the priests. The temples now serve as “charities” – a mixture of magistrate’s court, refuge, militia base, school, hospital and government office. The citizens are well looked after, and begin each day by thanking the General for saving them from laziness and religion. Speaking against the General carries the death penalty.Crimes are punished harshly. The peace is maintained by the General’s knights, a hand-picked group authorised to summarily try and (if necessary) execute criminals, and who never pay for goods and services - their expenses are met by the grateful populace. All young men must serve at least four years in the army.

The city-state of Tymon lies southwest ofDaggermark on the very western borders of theRiver Kingdoms, next to the kingdom of Razmiran. It is renowned for its gladiators, as Tymon boasts both a huge arena and many prestigious gladiator colleges. Tymon's history of gladiatorial excellence goes back to its founder,Maldar Tymon, who was a renowned Taldan gladiator and hero of one ofTaldor's Fifth Army of Exploration. Unfortunately, this proud heritage has made Tymon a visible target, and the living god Razmir greedily eyes the city with conquest on his mind. Ullorth Ungin has to contemplate turning his valuable gladiators lose on the field of battle, supported by the bloodthirsty priests of Gorum. Each year Ullorth asks that any on theOutlaw Council who value freedom step forth to help him, and each year one or two petty lordlings offer their help, postponing Razmir's invasion for another year

An enigma amongst the settlements of the River Kingdoms Uringensupposedly lies in the eastern regions of the country near the Embeth Forest. Uringen is an enigma as it seems to disappear and reappear with the mists, the inhabitants speak Skald a language not spoken in the River Kingdoms for ages which has lead some to theorise that the town has been caught by some sort of foul magic or evil spell. The inhabitants of this town always wear distinctive black and white garments but are always valued as trading partners as the supply impressive alchemical concoctions that aid healing and sometimes even strengthening the person who imbibed them.[1

I'll stick with face/berserker. Does the signature move have to be a melee attack? Do we still get a signature move if we don't have levels in gladiator?

Yes Signature moves apply.

Most prob I will.launch a recruitment thread soon and you guys will post there. Looking to recruit 1 more but will consider more depending on the quality of the submissions

Any word on my question of time, GM? How long will the bouts last, in general?

I vote for Tymon. It sounds tailor-made for this. Excited to get the new game underway :)!

Tymon sounds cool, as I kept the gladiator levels so I like it.

I will keep the same sig move name for now, but it will change to
full attack, sunder, Sever.

Elf

I am down for Tymon, I am fairly easy-going so I good with anything :)

probably standard match times, not sure about extending over days. Any thoughts guys? We can consider a variance where it plays over days?
