Chompy sets out on foot, not interested in the horse meats or other nonsense ways of travel. No, this is the true way with claws on earth.

The birds were a nice change of pace, the bones crunching nicely in his maw. The walking is nice, and the sounds of singing and other such nonsense help pass the time before they spy Black scaled dragons! Chompy does not appreciate the fact that more dragons have attempted to claim his land as their own!!!!!

He points at them and growls softly "We kills these dragons, before they grow big and take our lands!" he says with much emphasis despite the quietness.

Stealth up on one of the Dragons: 1d20 + 10 - 5 ⇒ (9) + 10 - 5 = 14

Provided he makes it up on them without them noticing, he will wait on the others and prepare to clamp down his maw upon one of the dragons in a coup de grace.

Does Dys do something about the slaveshanks?: 1d100 ⇒ 55

Before they set out, Dys would like to herd the slaveshanks into the room that locks with a key. Dys does not entirely trust them to not run away, and if more stealshanks come, the tame ones will be safe in the locked room. But then everyone gets excited about hunting the pigshanks and starts arguing about which way to go, so Dys forgets about the slaveshanks.

In the forest, Dys does not shoot the boomstick at the birds, as tempting as that would be. Dys is not stupid. But Dys does climb up a tree and finds some nice eggs in a nest. A complete breakfast right there - protein and protein. And feathers. Blech.

As they come upon the small black dragons and Chompy gives the signal to kill them, Dys almost cannot contain her excitement. Dragon-slaying!! Hells yeah!! Barely a day in their new lands and they are already big dragon-slaying goblin heroes! Them getting kicked out of the tribe was the best thing ever!

She sneaks closer, preparing to shoot the boomstick at whichever dragon is not getting bit or stabbed.

Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24
Ready attack if one of the dragons wakes before companions attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 Damage: 1d12 ⇒ 5

Not sure where Trinn and Croaker are, so I'll assume they took a quick detour to Andoran to steal the fireworks from the Freedom Day celebration. Eagle Knights will drop them back off whenever they next post. XD

Scrabble's Kobold: 1d4 ⇒ 3

You stealthily creep closer to the dragons with the soot-colored scales. Well, most of you do. Scrabble gets a bit too excited and starts giggling - waking up two of the dragons! Chompy immediately kills one, and then all hell breaks loose. There's a loud *BA-pfft* from Dys's boomstick. It seems yesterday's repair didn't quite do the trick.
Initiative (party): 4d20 + 17 ⇒ (2, 15, 16, 9) + 17 = 59 (avg 15ish)
Initiative (dragons): 3d20 + 3 ⇒ (11, 4, 14) + 3 = 32 (avg 10ish)
Fortunately, the dragons are too surprised at your ambush to fly away or use their breath weapons. Because that's totally what they have - being dragons and all. Just ask Chompy. He knows.

You're up again. XD

"Ah. Um. Not to worry, iz just da frizzle bein' butty." Dys calls out as a trail of smoke emerges from the mouth of the boomstick. Dys grasps it by the front part (which she calls a snout) and whacks it a few times against the nearby tree, causing crunching and banging noises. Then she aims it again at one of the dragons.

"Now. Work, gods damn you! MAKE DA BOOM!"

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 Damage: 1d12 + 1d4 ⇒ (1) + (4) = 5

While the boomstick does work this time without exploding or breaking, the boom is not forthcoming, only more of a "pop". Dys scowls fiercely at it, muttering under her breath.

Party loot sheet is updated. Are there any clan symbols on these kobolds, perhaps to tie them to that group we heard about from Oleg? Otherwise, I say we move on. Perhaps hex 18?

HP 9/9, AC 18*, Fort +3, Dex +8, Will +3, Perc +5, Init +5

Scrabble immediately put a moon radish in his mouth. Then he pulled his serrated knife out of the dragon and was about to start harvesting it, but stopped when he looked at Chompy. He seemed a little anxious

"Uh... Chompy? We take bits? Or no?"

Legendary Barbarian 1/Ranger (Shapeshifter) 1 HP: 8/21 | AC: 17; T: 14; FF: 14; CMD: 13 | Fort: +5; Ref: +5; Will: +2 | Int: +4; Perc: +9 Rage:5/5

Chompy nods "Yes, we should eats of the dragons and gain their power...Chompy heard this once from somewhere.....it sounds good to Chompy." he says pulling out a knife and preparing to do the same thing.

@Mogawg: No clan symbols or tribal markers - aside from their soot-colored scales.

Creature Harvesting
Dragon corpses are extremely valuable and have a plethora of components that can be harvested. Unfortunately, Kobolds are the complete opposite and have absolutely nothing of material or mechanical value to be gained.

HP 9/9, AC 18*, Fort +3, Dex +8, Will +3, Perc +5, Init +5

Bahahahaha!

Scrabble harvests the useless bits anyway. He quickly figured out that they were useless, but he didn't want to insult Chompy.

Chompy follows along semi reluctantly. If there were this many little dragons...he'd only imagine there would be a bigger badder dragon they'd soon face.

2d100 ⇒ (75, 4) = 79

Abandoning your search for pigs and cheese, you set off to find the dragon lair. Following the tracks takes a long time, and before you know it, you're at the edge of the forest, and the sun's going down. It'll be dark very soon. Past the edge of the forest, you see there are many hills of various sizes. One of them is topped with a near-perfect rock dome, its cracks colored deep black like a web-shaped scab. As you ponder what to do, you hear the distant rumble of thunder rolling toward you and feel a cold wind blowing, damp with the smell of rain.

The tracks continue toward hex 34, but it'll take 8hrs to pass through this hex.

Scrabble quickly locates an excellent burrow that can easily fit the four of you with room to spare. Once you scramble inside, though, you discover that it's already occupied by a weird bird-lizard and strange goblin wearing a battered metal helmet.

Ser Helmut:
Since you've been here a while, here's a bit of insider knowledge: there's a bunch of longshanks living by the river nearby (hex 25)

Chompy nodded along to most of what the Goblins had said. There was a chance once again to kill more longshanks to add to the shinies they had and possibly more foods to eat.

He pulls out the various dragon heads he brought along as well as all the sweet meats they harvested from them. He looks at the others and nods "We make fire, Chompy can make fine meal out of weak black dragons. Might not make us stronger, but will at least make us full." he said as looked over them.

He began defleshing the skulls, readying all the actual meat and fat to be put in a stew.

After a hearty meal courtesy of Chompy, you set off after the dragons once more. The air is humid in the aftermath of the fierce thunderstorm, and the ground is soaked. As the terrain is quite hilly, you're forced to travel slowly and carefully so that you don't slip and roll down a hill.

As you proceed, you begin to see the occasional body. Sometimes it's a baby black dragon like what you've been following. Other times it's a little blue Goblin (*cough* Mite *cough*). As you get deeper into the rolling hills, the bodies become more and more numerous. Strangely, all of the bodies have been looted and stripped of all valuables. The epicenter of the carnage appears to be an old half-dead sycamore tree that looks to be at least 100ft tall.

Also, the dragon tracks continue to hex 41

Chompy tilts his head a bit form time to time as they find dragon after dragon. This was a veritable swarm of baby dragons. This must be a very productive mother.

He eyes the Goblin with some suspicion as he says things in his tongue. He would have to watch this one who seemed to try and harness the magic of dragons.

He looks over at the tree and sniffs the air a bit before heading towards the hole and looking it over carefully. "Chompy shall go first, if Dragons inside then Chompy's presence may throw them off." he said nodding.

Scrabble didn't like the idea of anyone else going first. That was his job! He wanted the first shot at glory! He had to admit Chompy had a good idea though.

So Scrabble reluctantly went second, staying quiet and hidden, close behind.

You quietly enter the opening and climb down a root-lined shaft. After about 10ft, you arrive in the middle of a tunnel. However, you do hear something eating in one chamber and high-pitched giggling and the occasional *sproing!* from the other.
