Symas shoots his bow and hits the orc in the arm this time but it still somehow seems to be standing.
the one following symas still is up and takes a swing at Symas
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 = 9
The orc next to the prone Nesteurk Moves into the area Jondar vacated and then takes a swing at Jondar.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 2) + 4 = 9
The other orc next to Jondar tries to follow Anna and takes an overhead swing at her.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 4) + 4 = 12
The wounded orc next to Chardak takes a swing at the now flanked chardak.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 1) + 4 = 8
crit confirm on Jondar
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 = 9
ow Jondar takes 18 points of damage. Chardak takes 8 points of damage. Symas takes 9 points of damage.
Nesteruk of Vigil |
It was fun playing with you all :). When Nesteruk's init comes up-
Seeing his new companions fall around him, the freshly healed Nesteruk grips his axe tightly as he hacks at the closest Orc from the ground, axe held tightly in blood soaked hands. Sadly, he misses once more and closes his eyes as he waits for a killing blow to fall.
1d20 ⇒ 9 -4 attacking from prone included.
1d12 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
+6 to the attack roll if Nesteruk can stand up safely and 5 foot into a flank.
Chardak Bonereaper |
Seeing Jondar go down, Chardak wheels left, swings his sword high and brings it down at the orc there.
Greatsword attack C11 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23 ... damage 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 4) + 3 = 11
Edit: crit conmfirm 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 ... damage 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 4) + 3 = 12
HP remaining 3/11
Jondar Millner |
Jondar sees the orc step over Nesteruk's prone body and swinging high at his head. Jondar raises his shield to deflect the coming blow but to his dismay the attack was a feint and at the last minute the blow changed direction chopping down into Jondar's leg. The searing pain was too much and as Jondar fell to the ground losing consciousness he thought, Pharasma judge thy servant worthy to be by your side. Maria, my love I'm coming.
Fort Check to Stabilize: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Anna Bridgette |
I do a five foot step to D-13 and cast cure light wounds on Jondar.
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

oops forgot orcs turn
The orc next to Symas seems to try to line up for an ultimate killing blow on Symas and seems hurt enough from his own wounds to almost be at about the time he is getting the final swing off that will kill Symas yet is still standing at the end.midway through complete coup de grace since staggered.
The orc between the prone bodies of Nestruk and Jondar moves next to Karthan and Anna and attacks Karthan.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 4) + 4 = 9
The orc next to Jondar and the orc trying to finish of Symas moves next to Nesteruk and attacks
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 2) + 4 = 9
The remaining orc next to the two fallen orcs attacks Chardak.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 2) + 4 = 7
Karthan confirm
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 3) + 4 = 8
Nesteruk and Karthan take 9 points of damage and several of the orcs appear weaker.
Chardak Bonereaper |
Chardak examines the foes around him and tries to bring down the weakest.
Last round I hit C11 pretty hard. If that's him moving to D12? to menace Karthan and Anna, he would be my first choice of target. If you assigned the hit to another orc, I'll try my luck against E11. The main thing is to try to take one of the orcs out of the fight.
Greatsword 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 ... damage 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1) + 3 = 7
Edit; That string of good rolls had to end some time. I just wish it wasn't now.
Anna Bridgette |
Attack Orc @D-12
Attack: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 1 + 2 = 19
Damage Cestus(B): 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
GM_wu |
That 1 really sucks right now.
The orc comes down on Symas dealing the critical blow ending his life.
4d4 + 8 ⇒ (4, 1, 4, 3) + 8 = 20
The orc between the prone bodies of Nesteruk and Jondar attempts to trip Chardak who gets a swing in.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
2d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 2) + 3 = 10
trip attack
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
The On the the other side of Cahrdak takes a 5 foot step not tihnking well badly wounded takes a 5 foot step and swings at Karthan.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 1) + 4 = 6
The remaining orc attacks anna
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 4) + 4 = 12
Karthan takes 6 points of damage and Chardak is now prone.
Chardak Bonereaper |
Chardak snarls as he goes down. Seeing Anna still standing he shouts, "Run, woman!"
He struggles to his feet... Drawing AoOs no doubt. And if he survives that...
steps forward, and swings clumsily at the orc nearest Anna.
Greatsword 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 .... damage 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 1) + 3 = 9
One more good round and we might have survived, but the dice turned on us. Oh well, maybe Anna can get out.
GM_wu |
The orc between Chardak and Anna swings at Chardak but tries to take him alive as he seemed to be a heroic warrior.1d20 + 5 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 4 - 4 = 10
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 1) + 4 = 6
Then from the strenous activity of making that swing tihs orc collapses.
Not 100% raw but ferocity doesn't stop the taking a point of damage from strenous activity at zero so it makes little sense not to take it while in negatives.
the two orc falnking Chardak try to deal nonlethal damage as well.
1d20 + 5 - 4 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 5 - 4 + 4 = 19
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 1) + 4 = 6
1d20 + 5 - 4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 5 - 4 + 4 = 7
2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 4) + 4 = 12
Chardak takes 3 points of nonleathal damage then three point of lethal damage making him unconcious at zero but not dieing.
Chardak Bonereaper |
Chardak raises his sword one last time.
DM_Wu, I'm not sure how the unconsciousness rules interact with this -- "Orc Ferocity: Once per day, when a half-orc is brought below 0 hit points but not killed, he can fight on for one more round as if disabled. At the end of his next turn, unless brought to above 0 hit points, he immediately falls unconscious and begins dying." but I think Chardak may not be out yet.
GM_wu |
It says when brought below zero hit points and you weren't brought below zero hit points so it does not work. I can see the same thing working agianst ferocity as that only works when below zero hit points.by a really literal interperation of the rules. Could I make these rules make sense in the context of the game and evolution is that fighting down in family units on tihngs with ferocity will help win battles and help there family survive making it avantageous trait wihch sort of makes sense but the bodies reaction to fight to the death may not kick in agianst nonlethal damage usually.
Anna Bridgette |
Anna does a 5 foot step to C-14
and frost ray him (D-12).
Ranged Touch attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d3 + 1d4 ⇒ (3) + (4) = 7
GM_wu |
Anna that orc collapsed swinging after Chardak so I will resolve that attack on E-12
Anna shoots a white ray that hits this wounded orc and hits it hard freezing him and then he falls down to the ground. the orc that finished off Symas moves towards Anna. At this time as if spooked by sometihng Karthan's horse lets out a loud and echoing Neigh. The only orc left unwounded says in orc "reinforcements" The orc in A13 moves next to Nesteruk's body as if trying to pick him up but collapses dead on the ground. The unwounded orc drops his falchion and picks up Chardak's unconcoious body and moves 20 feet back as slowed down by the additional weight of Chardak.
