Anna can't you use your healing hex to aviod the attack of oppurtunity? Good point Maol with risking the grease had not thought of that. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 The orc manages to keep his footing even after stomping pip. After seeing Anna heal pip the orc tries to attack anna now with several punches 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 161d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 231d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 crit confirm 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 wow Anna takes 23 points of damage after a first punch that is hard and a second punch right to her temple that does massive amount of damage. The orc near Maol takes another swing at him 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 Which misses as she continues to bleed.
I think these orc monks might be broken.
Meanwhile sometihng entirely unexpected ahppens as the sound of a horse comes galloping in after the orc with a whip charing as they come in 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 162d8 + 12 ⇒ (7, 2) + 12 = 21 He says "And yet I amy see the one who saved my life die, how unfortuanate..." As the orc he charged with a whip collapses to the ground.

If I can get to a position to attack Pip and Anna's orc I will. If not I will back a square and attack my orc.
Maoldrurra sidesteps his horse away from his attacker and lashes out with his glaive.
Glaive 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19... damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

unfortunantely Anna´s horse is still staning so you can enter that square. maols attack hits his orc and sends it so that it falls dead on the ground.
The horseman who hasn´t quite revealed his name yet then goes on his gray horse has enough room to get off another charge.
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31 confirm1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 312d8 + 12 ⇒ (8, 5) + 12 = 252d8 + 12 ⇒ (1, 8) + 12 = 21 The horseman charges with a fury of a commander of a division of cavalry with his lance making a massive hole in the head of the orc that had previously only taken a crossbow bolt. The orc then collapses dead on the ground but anna is stelling bleeding and hurt unconcious on her horse. Anna to try to stabilize.

Pip is shocked for a moment as the Orc above her collapses into a pool of its own blood. She scrambles to her feet, putting some distance between her and the one that almost killed her. When she looks around, she sees Anna bleeding out. She calls her name and rushes over, summoning her second spell of the day

Pip goes through Anna's things and quickly finds a wand with divine symbols she recognizes as healing. She quickly administers a dose to bring Anna around.

Pip immediately turns into the wind, feeling it's caress, gently spreading her arms for a moment to allow the breeze to flow around her. She grows still, like a tree embracing the breeze. After a moment, she turns and tries the wand again, confident that this charge will bring anna around.

Coming around. Took three spells to do it. Good thing she had this Pip holds up the wand and wiggles it slightly for emphasis.
We very nearly lost that fight. She coughs wetly and deeply, then spits a mouthful of blood to the ground on her other side, not intentionally emphasizing her point, but emphasizing it nonetheless.

This has been an unpleasant distraction, but we need to move. Dawn approaches. Pip turns to the knight. We are warning these farms of an Orc threat to Southwatch. We already have most of the farmers gathered at a single place, but we need to gather this last one before we beat a hasty retreat.

The elf looks down at Pip and scowls. The encounter with the orcs has put him on edge, and even Karthan's presence can't ease the anxious need for speed. But after a second he smiles and almost skips from the horse's back.
He steps lightly to the door and delivers a heavy blow with the butt of his glaive. A pause for two heartbeats ends with a second crash, and two heartbeats later, a third.
He steps back, stands squarely to the door feet together, grounds the glaive near his foot. His right arm extends fully and parallel to the ground so that the shaft of the glaive completes the right triangle formed by his upright body and arm.
In an uncharcteristically high nasal tone he call out, "
Fair sleepers awake
Mad orcs prowl
Southwatch gives refuge
"

Pip can't help but burst into a squeal of delight. She applauds enthusiastically before falling into a coughing fit and hacking up more blood. She groans.
So much for pretty. I guess I need some more patching up. Anna, how do you feel?

Pip prods Nimbus over to Anna's horse and produces the Wand. She uses a charge on Anna before turning it on herself

A few seconds later a man comes out followed by a woman with a belly that is starting to buldge out some but is otherwise a little thin. And say let us get our horses in some stalls around back. They come back with two horses that look remarkably similar. And then the party rides off and has a mostly uneventful ride back to the other families when they notice a cart finally arriving at the other house.

The moon continues to fall down. Karthan helps riding up front but there seems to be little in the with all of the families and the moon is just about to set and some first bits of light from the east start to come in as the party reaches the gates of southwatch.
party gets to 3300 xp on fast expirence track which is enough to get to level 3
Piper 'Pip' Zappenpop |
Pip is nearly falling off Nimbus as they ride through the gate. Yes, bar. Maybe the city will patch me up for free seeing as we just saved the countryside.
She examines her bloody bandages and clothes. Remind me why I'm here again?
There is a sudden and quite unexpected gust of wind from the left where there is a house not 20 ft. away. It picks up leaves and bits of dust for a second before it is gone just as fast as it came.
Oh, right, you
Piper 'Pip' Zappenpop |
Good food. Good drink. Good bath. Good bed. How many of those can you get done before tomorrow morning. I'm going to need at least a full day to recoup from that ordeal. Oh, and a shirtless cleric, if you can swing it.
