but I rigged my machine for Dual-booting so I can use windows for my window only programs, and use Linux for other things.

I've looked at a few now and my impression is that they called it the Advanced Class Guide for a reason. None of these classes are simple or newbie-friendly.

We've got three kids so it gets pretty nuts. I've got 3 family members staying at the house this weekend do we did a small dinner tonite.... then the 24th and 25th are at my inlaws, then friend over next weekend.

We definitely love all this stuff but it is a LOT of work as I'm sure we all know.

Any players have any input on how to determine if a spell is overtly hostile. Since a ready happens before the spell is cast and then can stop it. Spellcraft won't work as you need to see and listen to the spell being cast. So I am not really sure how you would confirm this as overtly hostile. Anyway probably will have them cast a defensive spell that would not break invisibility and therefore is not overtly hostile.

I would say that if the person makes the spellcraft check then they can readied attack or not based on the knowledge of the spell being cast. If they fail the spellcraft check then I think that they shouldn't get an attack unless they specifically say that they attack if the caster casts any spell since they wouldn't know if the spell was hostile or not since they failed the spellcraft check, but they might still know that the person is casting a spell.

That makes sense to me. "Act if they're hostile" is probably not specific enough to mean "attack to disrupt if they start casting a hostile spell".

Agreed. "Overt Hostile action" may have been a little vague on my part.

I think you can't make the spellcraft check until the spell is being cast though. Reading the description of spellcrafts says it is from seeing and hearing the person cast the spell not that they are starting to cast a spell. Readying an action to happen which happens before something after you know what something is would be time travel which skills don't allow you really to do.

The thing is not whether spellcraft can tell whether a spell is hostile it is when spellcraft check takes place which is right when the spell cast not on a windup of the spell.

If you delay like stervon did then after they cast the spell they can go back after.
