Wowza! What level are you running the Friday night special? My friend and I are going to have level 4's. :-D

I'm told 3-7, but I don't think I'll really know until we muster.

I'll be out of town starting on Friday (going to PaizoCon! WOO!!) and will likely not be updating much until I get back on Tuesday night. Tomorrow will be my last day of full-day posting. Players or GMs, please feel free to bot my characters until I get back.

I'm going to be offline a bit longer than that. Flight leaves tomorrow morning early early early, and I won't be back until next Tuesday. You probably won't hear from me in the mean time.

Re: druid animal companions and Handle Animal:

The way I generally do it is that for something ongoing like combat, you issue the command and the animal will keep doing that until you tell it to do something different. So, if you say "attack", it will stay on the same enemy until it's down, and then move on to the next nearest enemy, unless you tell it to attack something else. (Changing targets would be a new attack command.)

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think you can take 10 on this. (Is Druid Handle Animal with your companion one of those things you can take 10 on in combat?) However, it's just DC10 to convince an animal to do a trick it knows, and a druid gets +4 on Handle Animal checks on his companion, so right now you'd have to roll a nat 1 in order to fail. (Later, when you have more ranks, "pushing" the animal becomes more of a real option.) Once you get to level 2, assuming you put another rank in Handle Animal, you'll be able to auto-succeed to convince Brawd to do tricks he knows.

For this combat, I'll assume the Attack command was succesful.

Spider is on the ceiling, but the ceiling is low enough here that yes, you can hit it in melee.

By default, go with the average every level, rounding up. So, 5hp if you have a d8 HD, 6hp if you have a d10 HD.
