A large circular stone disk stands in the eastern wall of the room, surrounded by a circle of dwarven runes. Three more runes are carved on the face of the disk. The great disk is flush with the wall and has no visible hinges or handles. Written in Dwarven the runes around the perimeter of the disk read Rest here until mine sons touch upon thy blessings. The three runes in the center read Loyalty, Duty and Strength.

Is that the "door"?

Jorgan shakes the ichor from his fabulous mustache and stares at the runes. "Are we supposed to turn the disk then? So which way do they go then? All are important virtues to a dwarf and I don't see how any one is better than the others."

The stone door to the north scrapes as Jorgan opens it. Huge stone panels line the walls of this chamber, each depicting a carved scene, but all of the panels have been damaged or defaced in some way. Hundreds of footptints crisscross the dusty floor. Two doors exit the room to the south.

The damaged and defaced panels seem to have been to pay tribute to Nargrym's life and deeds, carved as images in the wall. The images primarily commemorate Nargrym's battles, but the final panel depicts his tragic betrayal and murder. With many of the panels pieces on the floor it seems as if Nargrym's eyes have been chiseled out in every single image. An engraved bronze plaque above each panel identifies the illustrious deeds with Dwarven titles such as "The Slaying of Drogmalak the Terrible"and "Victory of Hrothbad's Mines". "Ach! That's one ugly b@asterd!" Kraygan exclaims upon catching an eyeful of the dwarf above. Averting his gaze he moves up to the sarcophagus and prepares to smash the glass panel.

Can we reach it from below? If not, I'll activate righteous might from Uskroth's Armor if being large gets me within reach.

"Tha' armor makes me sick lookin' at it." Torgan says, sneering a bit, choosing to investigate the rug as his kin takes care of the uggo in the glass.

He grabs the rug and quickly unfurls it with a single flick of the wrists.

Thinking about the fact that the dwarf above is on glass, Torgan says offhandedly to Kraygan. "Just bash th' glass with yer lance. He'll get 'ere right quick."

The ceiling (Glass panel) is 50 feet up.

As the group determines how to make it to the crazed dwarf Torgan grabs an end of the rugs and gives it a whip, unfurling it. Yellow mold spores fly into the air creating a toxic dust cloud 10 feet out from the rug.

Torgan- Need a DC 15 Fort save or take 1d3 Con damage. Another DC 15 Fort save is required once per round for the next 5 rounds, to avoid taking additional 1d3 Con damage each round. A successful Fort save ends the effect.

As the yellow dust falls Torgan finds all kinds of items rolled into the rug.

  • Bronze abacus w/ hematite beads (600 gp)
  • Large drinking horn engraved w/ entwining oak leaves and silver inlays (135 gp)
  • Ivory measuring rod w/ carved dwarven numbers (25 gp)

  • Wooden box containing eight bronze measuring weights carved to resemble squatting goblins (130 gp)

  • A pair of fur-covered boots.

  • Three chunks of Azurite (18 gp total)
  • Golden yellow Topaz (300 gp)

Looking to clean up the Loot sheet. is the stuff with sell next to it sold off and be deleted?

"Walk it off Torgan." Kraygan says to his poisoned cousin. "That creature got out somehow. Must be a trick to it. And if there ain't, then we take a hammer to the door and mine our way out."

Regarding the loot sheet: as far as I can tell everything marked sale is sold.

Wren steps back, waving his hand in front of his face to avoid breathing in the sickening spores.

"*cough* Shake it that way," Wren says, recoiling from the puffs. He steps back until the spores seem to have settled. "Wait! What creature are you guys talking about?"

Wren looks.

Wren looks for the dwarves to lead the way.

Fortitude: 1d20 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 3 = 15 Sounds like poison, so I'm including the bonus. As I hit the DC on the nose with the bonus, I defer to you in your next post if I need to keep rolling.

Torgan coughs a bit, held together only by his insane dwarven stoutishness. "Walk it off, he says." the dwarf says with a roll of his eyes.

"They look comfy." says the dwarf as he takes off his ratty leather clompers and puts on the fur-lined boots. "They fit perfectly!"

It is indeed poisonous spores. What's the plan?

"Or like Torgan said, bash the glass and bring him to us." Jorgan says.

I'm all for the idea of someone turning large and climbing on something to break the glass. Probably quicker and easier than breaking through the door.

Tyranius said the glass is 50 feet up. Enlarged atop a 20 foot ladder wouldn't be enough. Kraygan is heading up the steps to try bashing open the secret door.

Wren follows Kraygan, assuming the man dwarf has a plan.

"Ayep. Good idea. Or we can try one of the many doors that we still have yet to open," Wren says, pointing to the door.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I think the GM meant that the secret door above us, the only door we have access to from the lower crypt, was locked...

Correct. The glass ceiling is too high up and the evil little dwarf closed the secret door behind you and locked it while you were looking about the room.

Kraygan shoves his way to the top of the stairs and seeing little other way he begins to hack at the door with Gorum's Thorn. Bit by Bit the stone chips away. Seeing it will take hours Wren attempts the locking mechanism and is successful! The stone door slides open without a sound. Peeking his head out of the hole he sees no sign of the mad dwarf that was glanced through the glass.
