Looks like my last post gotten eaten. I was offering scrolls of endure elements, but that really doesn't afford any protection against fire breath.

As GM mentioned: Farin returns and reports no apparent traps or trip wires. "So, we still have the element of surprise."

"Wren, can you tell what that ring is that we just got off the last group? It was cold to the touch - maybe it offers some protections?"

"For me, I will just try to stay out of the way of those flames."

Then Farin takes out a potion, and pours it into a pocket of his jacket. "Just in case I need to disappear quickly!" he says with a wink.

Poured a potion of invisibility into the sipping jacket.

Wren seems pleased when Farin shows back up and wait for the calamnity to begin.

Kraygan digs through his giant bag of holding and eventually comes up with a potion labeled for cold protection.

"Bottums up!" He guzzles it down, sets his lance, and charges out from the side passage at the nearest hound.

Kraygan takes the hounds by surprise, well as surprised as hounds can be as a galloping yak rounds the corner.

Growling and wisps of smoke coming from their eyes the Hounds gleefully set out upon Kraygan. The giant's stand, gripping their pitchforks.

Giant:
"Still some rebellious ones left alive?"

One giant asks as he peers across the cavern.

Giant:
"Probably just one of the green skins trying to hide so he could get out. Not the smartest race. let's get this done so we can get back to the barracks."

The giants return to their work as they stab a pitchfork into a recently deceased orc and fling it into the cart. Fully content that whatever it is the Hellhounds can take care of it with ease.

Sorry, was working on a post and the site kept crashing.... here is the rest.

Absorbent fibers line this heavy canvas coat. Once per day as a standard action, the wearer can pour a potion onto this lining, suffusing it into the coat. If the potion has an instantaneous duration, the wearer can activate the coat as a swift action to consume the potion. If the potion's duration is measured in rounds, the wearer can activate the coat as a swift action to gain the potion's benefits for 1 round, repeating as desired each round until the potion's entire duration has been used. These rounds do not need to be consecutive. The coat absorbs only potions with instantaneous or round-based durations, and only those which affect creatures (for example, it does not work on oils). Wren reverses course and moves to Jorgan, slapping the dwarf on the shoulder. "C'mon JorHoof! We gotta stop that giant!"

With that, Wren casts Dimension Door and blampfs Jorgan (but not the yak-too big) on the other side of the wall/giant to block its cowardly fleeing. Wren will place Jorgan between himself and the giant.

I hope you want to come Jorgan. :). DC21 Will to resist.

Kraygan stabs the retreating giant in the lower back as it begins to squeeze through the hole. Wren quickly grabs ahold of Jorgan as the two disappear in a dark puff of smoke, only to reappear in front of the giant with Jorgan's spear at the ready. Turning around the giant rushes right into Heartspit and begins to thrash about in pain, causing hiself further injury.

Rogzul's spear quickly finishes of the pink hellhound as he severs the outsiders spine.

Seeing all of his companions returned to their realm the remaining Hellhound turns and withdraws towards the northern tunnel.

"Balls!" Kraygan exclaims when the giant gets past the wall. He dismounts Haggis in a fluid motion that belies his stocky dwarven form and jumps through the gap. His trained reflexes, aided by the magic of his scabbard switches his lance for Gorum's Thorn in the blink of an eye.

Wren flies back to cast Detect Magic and fly over the battlefield and area to be sure there is nothing magical that has been missed.

When he is finished with his search, he will look to Kraygan.

Jorgan walks to the opening of the passage and, once everyone is safely away, places his hand on the wall. The ceiling just ahead starts to drip water, then small bits of stone fall away, sending soft plops echoing in the room. The militaristic giants and swirling tunnels quickly take their toll on Wren as he is not used to being below ground like the dwarves are. Wren quickly circles overhead in the cavern as Kraygan sets to work on slowly dragging each of their kills back to this cavern to set up camp. The process takes several hours as the winding tunnels are several hundred feet long.

As Kraygan returns with the last of the giants begin drug behind Haggis with several sets of ropes bound around its leg Wren completes his search and finds no magical items in the vicinity. The group quickly discusses tucking in for the night and Jorgan helps out by re-shaping the walls and ceiling at the two entrances into the chamber, completely securing the group within. Luckily the room is large enough to hold oxygen for several hours as Jorgan has ultimately cut off all oxygen flow to the chamber and the night passes without any word of sign from the giants.
