And its going to be a blast. He doesn't even know its happening lol. It got a little complicated getting him there but all those details have finally been figured out and we're good for the best surprise retirement party ever.

I'm sorry, I don't think I can get on board with the pedophilia angle you are putting in this game. Ruby is 12. And it looks like you are have had Rodrick be in a relationship with her at the age of 11 or younger, (and there's no way it's written in the AP that way). That is pretty f---ed up. And it's straight up rape.

I have seen the damage done to people, and this makes me ill.

Yeah when I posted Freya encouraging them, I had forgotten she was 12. This what happens when you have three campaigns simultaneously.

I can get where you coming from Dak, as I myself forgot Ruby's age.

But you have to remember that this game is taking place in a more medieval time period. A time where you become an adult at the age of 12-13
(some groups still have the age of 13 as becoming an adult), which is still young by today's cultural and societal standards.
Since back then the oldest you got was like 40 years old, if you were lucky. Heck at 16-17 you were expected to be married and had two children, if the wife was lucky not to die during childbirth.

Actually church records state the the average age of marriage in the pre-industrial era was 23-26 which is what it is now. It was mostly nobles who married as young as 12-13. Even then there was no expectation of sex until at least 16. Though you are correct about the horrible rates of mothers dying in childbirth.

Your source also says "At age 21, life expectancy was an additional 43 years (total age 64)."

It doesn't really matter since this is a fantasy. In Trunau, 12 is adulthood. I don't think that counts sexually but I don't know. Given that most 12 year olds are no fully developed by then, it's still pretty creepy.

Freya is correct. It was only really nobility that married that young, and that was primarily for political reasons. And even then, a 20+ year old man engaging in sexual relations with an 11 year old girl was not looked well upon. Even if they could get away with it.

There is also the fact that the story line was altered to put this in (I was skeeved out, so I looked. Sorry). That bothers me more.

Seeing as it has been found to be a trigger I'm sure Mathpro will be more conscious of it later. It seems an honest mistake and he was probably working off the thought of medieval young marriage as well.

Still not sure why he changed the story to include it though. Guess we will have to wait till he returns.

Sorry this has creeped so many of you out. Kit is correct in my motovoations and it was not to creep anyone out. I will gladly not reference this plot twist anymore and am willing to retcon it out of the story if people want to restart.
