Chaïa Pomala |
Hello, everyone! Here's Qunnessaa's character submission, still a work in progress. I think the mechanics are all in place, but I need to add her background. Like a few other characters here, Chaïa's an oracle blend - with wizard, in her case. As a character built around primal magic, I envision her in more of a support role, doing very odd things to magic to shape the battlefield.
Dave Herman |
Here is most of Mithridites. He is an aasimar shaman (speaker for the past archetype, life spirit) and an oracle (posssessed archetype, ancestors mystery)
I still need to make some decisions on stat placement, skill rank placement, and gear, as well as make it user-friendly with combat info.
There is a short background included in the avatar profile.
Hmm... your profile isn't showing up. I'm pretty sure I saw it earlier... Glitch in the system maybe?

Awww, I didn't make your cut Indescribable? We could be all monk-like together. Only I'd be bigger, and less drunk.
Out of curiosity, did you consider using the Barbarian Variant Multiclass to pick up Rage + the Good For What Ails Ya or Staggering Drunk rage powers? It was one of the first tricks I wanted to do when I saw the VMC.

Okay, thanks to everyone with the advice for keeping up with the boards! I think I finally have my character finished. Since it looks like we've got a good spread of submissions, I'm hopeful that I at least have a fighting chance of making it in!

Tharris was born to an unknown peasant woman. She went into labor near a smithy in Old Kenabris, and gave birth before the forge. She died in childbirth, and so Tharris was given the name Forgeborn. He was raised as the adopted son of one of the smiths, a man by the name of Eddard Payne, and there he learned the art of metalworking.
When Tharris was 17, a cult kidnapped him. Eddard Payne tried to stop the abduction of his adopted son, but was cut down. The cultists had captured Tharris and several others as unwilling participants in a demonic ritual. The ritual failed, however, and before the cultists could try again, they were interrupted by a young girl, who stepped in to free Tharris and the others. Tharris and the freed prisoners were then able to fight off the cult leaders and escape.
The experience left Tharris permanently scarred. Before the ritual had been completed, he had been infused with dark energies. However, unbeknownst to the cultists, their ceremony had awakened Tharris' Suli blood, which had disrupted their ritual. Still, the dark magic has affected him somehow, becoming part of him, and he still suffers nightmares that take him back to all his most horrible memories, especially of the ritual.
After his escape from the cultists, Tharris developed a relationship with the girl who had rescued him. Her name was Lynneah, and soon a deep romance blossomed between them. The two were married not long after, and have been together ever since. A cleric of Sarenrae, Lynneah taught Tharris to venerate the Dawnflower, and he soon found himself blessed by the Everlight's flames.
Growing up in Kenabres, Tharris always dreamed of becoming a crusader, and as he grew older, he trained in the art of fighting so that he could some day join their ranks. Now a competent fighter and warpriest, he has enlisted to protect the world from the forces of darkness which threaten to escape the Worldwound.
Tharris is a husband and father, and loves his family very much. Though his wife worries about his line of work, their relationship is a strong, loving one. His wife Lynneah is a priestess of Sarenrae, and together they have two children - fraternal twins, a boy and a girl. Tharris can be quite indulgent to them, and has a hard time saying no to their requests. He is fiercely protective of his wife and children, and will do all in his power to rescue them should they be in danger.
Wife - Lynneah, age 25, Human Cleric of Sarenrae
Son - Iosuf, age 6, Suli
Daughter - Myranda, age 6, Suli

Nope!. I really only tend to pay attention to the classes that interest me. Rogue, Sorcerer, Wizard, Alchemist, Summoner. I've done monk before but only once. And I don't think I ever played a barbarian so I'm not really that familiar with their extended suite of powers. And call me Korak

I work nights, so I read. I read all the things. But yeah, it always seemed to me that the Drunken Barbarian Stuff + the Drunken Monk stuff would go together well, if not for the pesky restrictions on alignment. The Variant Multiclass System jumped out at me as a way around that little issue. A Monk who can rage and gets a drunken dodge bonus when he does? Sweeet.
Korak The Boisterous |
Very interesting, I'll have to look into it, That said, Roaring Drunk is a modified version of rage, I get the same bonuses except my strength only goes up +2, and while i'm in it I get a -2 to intelligence and wisdom based skill checks. dumps sand on Thuvius to put the fire out. You should have been born a goblin.
Andrian Timeswift |
Oh, is Variant Multiclassing happening here? I might go for Fighter. Armor and Weapon Training are badass, especially for the build I'm working on. I know that means I'd be practically triple-dipping fighter, but wow. Would that be too cheesy?
Alternatively, Barbarian might also be quite nice...
But still, this is a pretty strong character already, I think. Variant Multiclassing would be able to make him even stronger, but should I go for that?

I know there is a way to gestalt Monk and Barbarian, but I don't think you can get the monk's drunken bonuses. Martial Artist gestalts really well with Barbarian, though, because at level 5 you become immune to fatigue and get rage cycling.

I'll assume no then until told otherwise. If it is allowed, I might pick up Fighter.

We have an interesting breakdown of Mythic Paths (at least going by the traits; I know some might choose another path).
Submissions so far: (Thanks to Dave for putting this all together!)
Sabrina De'Foe – Aasimar (Angelkin) Paladin/? - Edward Sobel -Marshal
Korina, Daughter of Yog-Sothoth – Human – Oracle (Dual Cursed – Dark Tapestry Mystery)/Summoner (Master Summoner) – Rednal - Hierophant
Thuvius Breckindorf – Human – Alchemist/Rogue (Unchained/Sniper) – Dave Herman -Trickster

Xantrius – Tiefling – Paladin/Bard (Archivist) – Anoirtrou -Marshal
Darros Ironhorn – Taurian – Bloodrager (Steelblood)/Fighter (Mutation Warrior) – Galahad0430 - Guardian
Oret Grayhide – Oread – Monk (Zen Archer)/Warpriest – Gavmania - Trickster
Grimli Chastip – Gnome – Investigator/Oracle – Lord Manticore - Hierophant
Shi'Vatha – Unfettered Eidolon - mdt - [Champion]?
Wren Glasswright – Elf – Cleric/? - Ash... - Hierophant
Daliya – Human – Druid (Goliath Druid)/Monk (Master of Many Styles) – JohnGarret - Champion
Malzii – Kobold – Oracle/Summoner (Unchained) – Lady Ladile - Guardian
Korak The Boisterous – Dwarf – Brew Master/Monk (Drunken Master) – The Indescribable - Champion
Dennis the tainted – Human – Fighter (Lore Warden)/Swashbuckler – drbuzzard - Guardian

Mithridites – Aasimar – Shaman (Speaker of the Past – Life Spirit)/Oracle (Posessed – Ancestors Mystery) – The Thing from Beyond the Edge - Guardian
Chaia Pomala – Elf - Wizard (Primalist)/Oracle - Qunnessaa - Archmage
Shimmer - Android - Cleric of Iomedae/Fighter - Xzaral - Hierophant
Tharris Forgeborn - Suli - Brawler/Warpriest - Andrian Timeswift - Champion
So that's 5 Hierophants, 5 Guardians, 4 Champions, 2 Marshals, 2 Tricksters, and only 1 Archmage. Mostly fighters and holy men, it seems.
Please let me know if I got anything wrong!

Oret Grayhide is also a champion, despite the recommendation of his trait. Trickster just would not fit for this character. So really, you only have 1 submission for trickster, unless someone changes their suggested path to Trickster, like Grimli Chastip or possibly Xantius.
Is it certain that every path needs to be covered? if not, it doesn't really matter but if so, it would be helpful for people to post the mythic path they intend to take.
Allyo Shan |
I might go Dual with Hiero and Archmage, since Allyo is a caster, but even with Champion or Guardian I'd be happy. Whatever I can do to help the party, even adapt Allyo to be a full time healer :) happy to be here and being considered. Great, fun, applications here... I'm honored. Plus I like the idea of partying with the brewmaster, and my favorite party member candidate is Darros (since we already played together in RL ;)).
Fun fun :)
Mithridites |
@ GM Glory of the Crusades
Mithridites will "drop" daylight as a spell-like ability and take a roll on the table from Blood of Angels. If that is not OK, just let me know and it will be easily fixed. That is, assuming of course, if Mith is even selected.
If youo do not have Blood of Angels, it can be found in the d20pfsrd.

GM Glory of the Crusades |
Ok, so Charter finally fixed the Internet, thankfully! Sorry for the delay in my posts.
I found Skill Unlocks under their relevant Skill on d20pfsrd, so I will be allowing people to use those if they so wish. Since they essentially cost nothing and just provide nice benefits to spending a lot of points on certain skills, something most people do anyway.
Multiclassing is allowed in gestalt on BOTH sides, but I will warn you that if I notice powergaming, I will ramp the difficulty up.
I have no issues with overlapping Mythic Paths and Classes, so please don't feel restricted by what others pick. I once ran a game with nothing but Inquisitors and it did just fine, after a bit of treasure tweaking.
Qunnessaa, Primal Magic is fine, just be aware that it can be good or bad. Not only that, but in certain areas, I might rule that it is stronger and have additional effects, given the areas soaked by Abyssal energy in lost Sarkoris. It would not be often, but it would happen occasionally.
Thuvius Breckindorf, it would have had to be a recent thing, due to to spoilers that I will not divulge. It is strictly a 'happened in the Worldwound exclusively' sort of thing. Demons have Immunity to Poison, but there are a few workarounds to that, plus I have access to the old 3.X good 'not-poisons' that affect evil creatures exclusively, I believe they were called Ravages.
JonGarret, if you are referring to the fractional system, then no. It is one of the few things that I have seen from Pathfinder Unchained on d20pfsrd that I had a knee jerk reaction of 'NO' to. The Giant Bloodline from Kobold Press and the Master of Many Styles Unchained Monk, however, ARE allowed!
Nice Divinitus! I should have that Razor Coast character ready by tomorrow, by the way.
Adsapiens, feel free to create a profile, as those help keep things neat and organized for me to peruse.
DM Gazebo God, you mean from Ultimate Magic?
The Indescribable, if you want Sleight of Hand, I can create a trait for you. I am wondering where Korak's stat block is though? Redemption is certainly something that can happen, though exactly what you can redeem is a different matter entirely. ;)
ScKnightHero1, MDT is correct in his assessment of how it works.
Phntm888, IF you have the relevant crafting feats at level 1, then you may make the assumption of having crafted any relevant gear that your crafting skills suggest.
Dave Herman and Xantrius, thanks for compiling the submissions!
Dylos, those seem relatively aboveboard and accomplish about what a Synthesist Summoner can achieve, so I will allow those. If you go the Silver Dragon route, I have a suggestion for your background that may prove interesting and would have some interesting repercussions for the campaign, if you so wish.
Monkeygod, I am intrigued that a caster would select the Path of the Stranger. Do tell what the concept is!
Mithridites, you may select one of the traits from the table under Aasimar in exchange for Daylight.
