Congrats to the selected and have a great game! :)

Congratulations guys! Have a good time.

So, after a long hiatus, I am returning. My friend told me about this thread and I have agreed to run it as originally presented (Gestalt and mythic? Really? Oh well, a challenge it is then). I have just started looking at the thread (900+ posts for recruitment!). First, anyone still paying attention please repost your interest. Second, one change for sure is that Oath Against Fiends is not allowed as it makes several parts of this series either impossible or inhibiting. Third, only Good alignments allowed (this is a very "I shall shed my light over Evil's darkness" campaign). I will not be using Paths of War. I will also be limiting third party material, please verify with me before hand. Finally, absolutely no psionics (I go by the original idea of psionics being an alternate magic system, so there is either magic or psionics). I will be looking for solid party role type characters. I realize that with gestalt this gets blurred a little, but think of a general theme for your character and put it in your submission. I prefer that everyone still interested repost their submissions along with any changes. I am taking five more people (already have one dedicated melee player). Depending on responses, I will probably pick the players Saturday night and start Sunday. Oh, also, I expect a minimum of 1/day posting (I am somewhat lenient on that except during combats).

Davin is still interested. I was chosen during the original, but as this campaign is dead. I would be ecstatic to get to play this character.

Would Godling be allowed?

It's really not that big a deal to have access to that class, but I figure if I don't ask, I'll never know.

Let me know your planned focus for your character role. Quick question, how are you getting Proficiency with the repeating crossbow?

Still game.

hello I was part of the original chosen I think there is only one feat I would have to change but its no biggie for me, the old gm told me to take the dragonic companion feat so my dionysus would be a half dragon. I have no issue dropping that if you want I have been wanting to RP this character for some time now and would be ecstatic in ^_^

I have played into book 3 but the game keeps going away on me :(

I was going to ask about godling as well. Mighty Godling to be exact. With the guardian trait. I think that's the one where they are the son or daughter of Iomedea. Still trying to decide what to gestalt with. Melee would be primary focus, but I would be able to channel energy at level 3 to aid in healing. Would be there to help remind the group of the mission. Maybe gestalt with paladin.

You are limiting 3pp how? I'm still interested with the character I originally submitted.

This guy

I was going to say no to the Godling PrC, but it is thematically well suited for this AP, so I will allow it.

Thank you for reminding me by the way.

I am very strict about codes of honor and behavior, especially with Paladins, Cavaliers, and any other class that has abilities based on a code of ethics.

Mythic abilities not allowed: Above Morality, Mortal Herald (unless granted by specific action in the game itself), and Divine Source (with same caveat as Mortal Herald). There may be others, I have to recheck.

There is a feat that thematically fits this AP called Worldwound Walker. That feat is allowed after book 1 is complete only (hint: it is really, really good).

The focus for the character is skilled and in combat I would be ranged stealth.

I corrected that error on my character sheet.

To see my character in action please feel free to check the gameplay thread and see the intersection between myself and another character set before the start of the AP.

For people that have Hero Lab, I have all of the expansions and the gestalt modification. If selected, I will ask you to send me the .por file so I can input them. Anyone that wishes to do that before hand may do so, just send it to me in a PM.

Ok, the Godling I saw was a PrC, not a base class. Is there another?

EDIT: Ah, ok, I see it. My answer is yes to the PrC, but no to the base class. The PrC will make sense to the AP, but the base class is just a little too much, especially with gestalt.

Don't worry I have no intention of taking those. I don't mind playing and living to the code. I will work up a character.

Mighty Godling

So, apparently this is popular as I have six different people responding in 30 minutes to a thread that hasn't had activity in weeks :)

do you need anything else from me?

I will have to look closer at the animal companion when I get home, but otherwise he looks good.

Korak, I think the Brewmaster is OK, but I have to check when I get home to see if I can input it into Hero Lab. I will let you know tonight.

And that reminds me of another thing, please put in on your profiles or in your submissions what timezone you are from and if you have a strange schedule (this won't affect my choice, it just lets me predict flow for posting and combat).

Dennis is meant to be a party tank type build,

Silver Crusade

Hi I would still be interested
But you already said no to my character by banning everything I am using.

Lift thoseso once again Sabrina is in able to be played

Lift those restrictions and I can finally play.

Silver Crusade

Opinion here

Original players get first dibs no restrictions then new players to fill holes with restrictions

Will pm later tonight my reasoning

Well, I'd need to modify Korina here... but I'm ALWAYS interested in a Mythic Gestalt WotR. XD

Either that or I could make someone else with some of those new options... Hmm...

Shi's still interested, if his build isn't too exotic. :) It's Paizo stuff, just that the summoner half of the gestalt drops the spell caster and goes with just the eidelon.

Let me know if you need a new link to his character sheet (I use PDF character sheets). It's in the thread already on the character submission posts, but can put it back in if you need it.

So why did the original die. Did the GM leave? I play in 10 active games on here and can post multiple times a day. I have started 4 or 5 of these wrath games and all have died because GM went away. I have played twice on table top and made it to book 3 before GM decided not to run it any more. I don't care if you pick from the original character or not. I just want to play with people that can post often and keep the game moving and a GM that will stick it out.

I've only had 2 WotR campaigns die on me, so I guess I'm a slacker.

Don't own the AP or I'd probably try running it.

He didn't leave he never started. The guy disappeared for days on end in this thread, supposedly sent messages to That GM Guy giving us updates while not answering anybody else's. Gave us deadlines he never adhered to, now most of these all come from That GM Guy through messages, but GM did pick people and never started. People began to suspect the whole thread was a troll, and I personally suspect that GM Guy of being GM Righteous. It is also possible that the GM for this got WAY out of his depth.

Reposting to express my interest; this is my character from the first round, whom I'm still interested in playing. The general theme for the character is "all the (arcane, wild) magic!" Gestalt with oracle provides some additional support spells, but what really makes Chaïa tick is wizardry. She isn't meant to tread on the toes of anyone who wants to play a cleric or druid. Her main theme within magic is primal magic (the archetypes of both classes she's gestalted use it), and the flashier conjurations and transmutations rather than anything as momentary as a fireball.

Worldwound Walker seems really neat for someone with Chaïa's background and interests! Makes a note for later, trying not to cackle with glee.

I'm in the Eastern timezone; my posting tends to a somewhat erratic schedule depending on if I'm caught up in a particularly interesting problem at work, but I'll normally post in one of morning, noon, or night, though not necessarily the same one of those from day to day.

I said no to Paths of War because it is too much with gestalt. As to Oath Against Fiends, it makes a good part of this AP impossible for that character. There is a part where the party must deal with a demon lord in a diplomatic setting. Oath Against Fiends absolutely forbids that.

Ok, I will be posting a list after 6PM EST of the submissions as I see them by that time and their apparent roles. After it is posted please check that my beliefs are correct.

Btw, For all who do not know already, Iomedae is the main goddess associated with the protagonist side and Baphomet is the antagonist. Just so you can tweak backgrounds accordingly if you choose.

Further notes:

Unchained: Only Rogue (choice) or Summoner (must use unchained Summoner). I am entertaining using the alternate action economy with slight modification (mainly the full attack part). No to Combat Stamina (too many mechanics involved as it is w/o adding this one).

3PP: Races: restricted to no more than a 14 RP value and with permission.
Classes: very restricted (there are a plethora of Paizo ones as it is).
Feats: More open to them, just let me know beforehand.
Other: case by case, but thematics counts most to me.

Dennis you have your character at mythic tier 1 already. You do not start the campaign as mythic.

After further review, I will allow Paths of War. Also, I checked further on the Godling PrC. It is still allowed, but any abilities that mimic mythic abilities, especially the abilities I disallowed, will be heavily modified.

Sorry, I'll fix that.

Was wondering how it was the case, but when I went back and looked Hero Lab had giving me mythic power as an ability even though I had not actually taken any mythic tiers yet.

I am still quite interested. I shall post my character for you if you wish or send them to you via email made out of herolab. If you still wish me to post all of it here, I can as well ^^.

Also still interested. However, this character uses a 3PP race though. Let me know if OK.

Liberty's Edge

You know what I pull out, I got an application in consideration and a character getting ready to start. Have fun all.

Backstory:

The Worldwound has been a plight upon the world going on almost a hundred years at present but there have always been those to take up the charge and going in Iomedae's crusade against the coming dark. Thousands have joined the battle and thousands have died, seemingly only to keep the tide of demons at bay. But there are some who even though they die, just won't stay away. This is one such story.
Bakji had lived during the time of the First Crusade and he joined in readily slay the demons and save the people surrounding the Worldwound in Iomedae's name. In that life he had been a paladin, sworn to take care of her enemies and he enjoyed it with zealous abandon. The battle was glorious and difficult and they saved many a town from the demonic horde, Sarkoris and Mendev to name a few. But as most heroes of that war, eventually he fell on the battlefield taken down by one of the Arch-Fiends who slipped through the wound.

His second life on the battlefield was during Third Crusade, he had awoken to his past life having lived a life of sin as a cutpurse in the Chelaxian nation. When he remembered the glory of his life before, he turned himself in to the church of Iomedae. He begged for them to let him redeem his current life by proudly serving once again in the crusade, they granted it as his name was found in the records of the dead of the First Crusade and they found that his desire was not false. He joined into the fray, daggers in hand slaying demons and using his smarts to torture information out of the demons. He became known for his aggressive but effective ways and was eventually caught by a group of demons. He had been marked for a most horrible death should he be found alive and that he was certainly given.

Bakji's soul just couldn't rest, something that often occurred with Samsarans. He awoke once more, a trapper in the woods. This life he had led so far in mostly a quiet and peaceful way, only taking on bears, wolves, deer, and the like and selling the meat and pelts. When he awoke, he knew this was not his calling for if the Worldwound still existed then he was to join it and see to it that it would be closed. He sought out the church once more and found that they were between crusades at present.

He begged to them to send out another crusade as the job was not yet done. But they asked him patience and given his capability with a bow and his zealous nature they requested he stay and learn to channel that force upon the demons. Thus he joined the ranks of the Inquisitors and learned their ways, melding them with his own and as soon as he was given leave he set off to join the crusade once again. He hoped this time perhaps he might finally help seal the wound forever.

The age I rolled up may be too old, and if possible I would be more then happy to lower it to make it fit with the timeline of the start of the Fifth Crusade. I hope that you find the idea and concept of the character at least interesting as I would really enjoy playing him in WotR.
I welcome others to read and tell me what they think of the character.

Looking at the Champion build for this one.
I have another who I believe would work well as the martial type...can't remember what it was. Never gotten a chance to play mythic so I haven't delved into it as much as the rest of Pathfinder stuff.

Still interested, assuming this for real. Thuvius is definitely a trickster type. Roles: skilled, ranged and sneak.

I am in the central time zone, but I work second shift.

I'll throw my hat back in the ring.

This character was one of the ones selected from this thread, which now brings the number of times he's been chosen and then experienced a false-start or early game death up to three.

I'm beginning to think its a curse.

He really is a great character and not some kind of albatross around a game's neck, I swear. As a player I'm no slouch either.

He's all ready to go. Please let me know what you think.

Some more notes:

Skilled characters have a much better shot if they do not give up trapfinding.

I will assume that your projected Mythic Path matches the campaign trait you choose. If that is not the case, please let me know.

A dedicated healer is practically a shoe in.....

Oh, and any ideas of building up to some potentially game breaking combo is discouraged. I will be unmerciful in nerfing such things if I feel it detracts from the storyline. By game breaking I do not mean uber damage or high saves or high AC as there are multiple ways around such. By game breaking I mean, getting around basic game balance mechanics to do stuff that is beyond ridiculous (i.e. more than two spells a round, infinite attacks, etc.). I won't punish great builds or concepts, but I will not use obscure interpretations to create effects never intended. The best course is to ask me about anything that may be questionable beforehand.

Jason, will the Mythic material by Legendary Games be allowed??

I present Shinari, who needs a tweak to class with godling being disallowed.

As a Paladin/Oracle, Kel will be a fantastic healer.

His primary role is as a bodyguard, so he'll be hanging out with the squishy party members anyway.

Nothing like a healer who can actually take hits for the wizard. :)

Well, I had considered swapping Alchemist for Investigator. Let me look into that after work. Less mad scientist, more legit scientist.

Silver Crusade

I would love to play this. I think my character Xantrius is all legal, let me know if there is anything that doesn't work. I am good at keeping up a minimum 1/day posting; I have been playing in a Reign of Winter campaign for over 2 years now (up to the third book!) and a homebrew Margreve campaign for almost 3 years. I am Pacific time zone.

I see Xantrius as a front-line fighter with support capabilities. He will be going into the Marshal path which will give him even more ability to aid other characters.

Question.
What is the full loadout of character creation for you?
Is it the same as the original GM for this thread?
If not what are the differences?
