I understand the GM may be trying to decide on 2 groups and who to pick. That having been said, it would be nice for the GM to post what is going on. It has been 4 days since the GM last posted at all.
It would be nice to hear first hand what is going on.
AHA! it's a demonic plot. Get us all focused on the game and then disappear to watch us all turn on each other!

Well I know this might come off as rude, but can you blame him? I mean, here's the gist of the conversation so far:
GM Glory: Hey, I wanna run a Wrath campaign!
Forum Community: Oh ho! You don't say! Please, tell us more.
Glory: Well, it's going to be gestalt...
Ravenous Community Hoard: HERE'S MY CHARACTER!!! ITS SUPER UBER KEWL, YA GOTTA ADD IT!!!
Glory: o_O runs like Hell
/s
I mean, we did throw ourselves on him like the Mongol hoard, after all, LOL.

The sad thing is, I am actively letting other campaigns that interest me go by because I doubt my ability to play more than one or two without f%%@ing up and overextending my own abilities.
I am actually burned out on making new characters, for the most part, which is why I'm letting the Mummy's Mask, Iron Gods and Skull & Shackles slide, despite really wanting to play all three games. I will drop in an application for Rednal's Legendary Planet thingee, since I've heard good things about his games, and it looks increasingly like this may not happen.

Hmmm... I wonder if a half-gestalt game would get as big a response?

I don't think I've ever seen a recruitment phase that didn't get a ton of applicants (well, except for the one campaign I ran, but the nature of that campaign was such that it wasn't going to attract much attention). Gestalt is really popular, as is WotR, but I think it's just the nature of the game. If I tried to run something - especially an AP - and didn't get 20+ applications, I'd think something was wrong.
Maybe things are different on this site, though.

Would you be willing to share a link to your thread? Sounds interesting.

Such a sad grippli... James Sutter took the truly amazing grippli artwork from ARG as his own avatar, and won't share.

Well, if ya ever need someone new in the game, send me a PM. Assuming I haven't already annoyed you.

I'm sorry everyone. This is obviously my fault. I've submitted characters in 2 other recruitments the past month:
the Harrowing
& Age of Worms in greyhawk
where the DM subsequently disappeared.
So it must be me. My advice is to not bother submitting a character for any recruitment that you see me participating in as I am obviously the kiss of death for any recruitment thread

As long as he can handle it as a GM, I think it's a great idea. Players ditch tables just as often as GMs, so it's kind of like survival of the fittest. Worse comes to worse, he can probably combine groups who have flaking players to pair it down.
Personally, if I was running a gestalt PbP, I would run one table with 3 players. Gestalt lets less players fill more roles, and a smaller group means less people to rely on and wait on to get the table moving at a decent pace. The only downside is that if someone drops, you have to replace them with a very similar character to keep the party paradigm together. Of course, there's no shortage of players wanting a grab at gestalt, so it's hardly an issue.

Ok guys, I thought I would update everyone on the comings and goings of Sir Awesomesauce McSnazzlepants, since I had someone PM me earlier regarding the situation with this campaign.
He told me that he would post around 4:00 P.M. EST today for his selections.
I am, once I work out the specifics of my WotR, probably going to select 5 or 6 of you for my game.
Altogether, that is 10-12 PCs getting selected!
Also, I am probably opening another table on my post-apocalyptic campaign for those interested in getting in on some Fallout-style action!
Plus, a recruitment for Jade Regent campaign set entirely in Tian Xia will be up within a week's time!
