Senva, completely pissed at the rocks that tried to hurt her when she was helping Creed, Michel, Balto, and the helpless Creed, starts ranting in a heavily accented Eridian at the collapsed cave. The rant starts to take a more regulated cadence and culminates in Senva drawing her hands up, spreading her fingers and releasing a jet of flames at the rocks. The rest of this might be beyond the limits of the spell (burning hands), but it's more for characterization then anything... She keeps this up for a few seconds until the rocks are white hot. Finished, she gives the rocks a long stare, snorts derisively, and turns to the rest of the group. Smile back in place, gives Jellena a quizzical look and asks, "Who's this? A friend?"

She nods then go's over to Velden checking him, then asks

To Senva's question she responds simply if not a bit tersely, "We are here to help."

She chuckles at the newborn's reenactment of what just happened. She says one word in response and stays next to Jack, "Interesting."


It was take damage or none at all, Michel, either you dodged the rocks or not.

The group gathers in the room relatively fine. Creed looks more hurt than anyone else, only Michel really knows about the negating of beneficial spells to the barbarian so far.

Velden glances up at Jellena when she channels. "Thanks." He turns to Senva. "Jury's still out on that. At the moment, I'm filing her away as 'Psycho, Dangerous, Non-Hostile, One'." He nods at Five. "She works for him, apparently. Theoretically, so do I. Makes it complicated."

At Aannara's question, he nods. "Yeah..." He reaches out and touches Aannara's shoulder, and Aannara's clothes become spotless again, although instead of being red, they are now the same neon blue on dark black as the blaster in her holster is. His own clothes are clean and the same dark black he always wears.

"Anyone else?"

With the battle over Jack doesn't see much to do. He just lets the group lead on when they are ready. Jack wonders about the man on the floor though he can do naught for him. Jack first thinks he can try to teach his own ways of healing to the fallen man but by what the others are saying he doubts his abilities would really affect him all that much.

Sparky is in the tomb proper and for the most part, sticking to the side and watching the group, then he realizes that Creed is that big lump in the middle of the floor that the others had dragged back in.
Horrified, he jumps on top of the bigger psycho CEEED!! Ywo no hurt Ceed! he yells at the rest of the group and protectively defends the fallen, thrashing psycho. Apparently he has taken quite the liking to the larger guy.
Ceed? ywo OK big guy? Ywo hurt? he asks the unconcous Creed.
Then Sparky feels a wave of healing from Jellena and jumps a bit, turning to Jellena OH! What dat? AGAIN! Do AGAIN! It help Ceed?

So apparently Sparky has taken a shine to the bigger guy :)
Also Creed, you should have healed at least 10 damage from that channel so you should be safe, if not conscious.
Ah, still trying to get the voice of Sparky down :( Aiming for little kid sounding. If its annoying/too hard to read just let me know :)

She decides to channel once more then heal as prompted. "Mistress spread forth your power." She says with an authoritative voice as the healing surge goes over the party.

Velden shrugs. "Alright everyone, now that the excitement is done, let's find the guy putatively paying for all this." He follows along behind Jellena, apparently feeling having her in front of him is better than having her at his back.


The group follows as they do, with the now conscious Creed following along as well.

Through a door and into another room. Several goblins are dead in the corner with a few human pygmy bandits. Following the room there is a chasm and some blasted statues. Passing those you find Five standing to the side of a pair of doors.

From the rubble and dust all around, the group sees Avizzi raise his head up and look around. The tiefling rubs his eyes, smearing the dirt around and blinking rapidly. He scratches his scalp, looks at the bit of scab that comes off, and wipes it on his leather as he stands. Glancing around, he pats his thighs and nods. "Uh... Right. Things got a little... uh... little f*ckin' hazy. Kinda... yeah." He stands awkwardly and then jabs a finger at the group in turn. "We don't. F*cking. Speak of this. Ever. Get it?"

With that, he regathers his thrown knives and joins the group, where he stares at Five in the next room. "About time. I wanna get back to town, have a stiff drink in a dirty glass, tumble with somebody tolerable, and move on with life. I gave up on this sh*thole a little ways back."

When Jellena's energy hits Creed's form, he arches his back drastically as if he was electrocuted and roars, I POWDERED MY COCKATIEL FOR THE RIBCAGE SLAUGHTER! before standing up and shaking himself off like a skrag crawling into the Pandoran sun.

He pulls out a mortar, pestle, beaker, a few flasks, and several smelly indescribable things from his packs and starts mixing up some concoctions. Heh heh heh stich and patch and fix but once it's broken it will never be whole again never pure never clean never flawless never right just a shattered thing limping along.

If I have a few minutes, I'm going to go ahead and mix up 3 extracts of cure light wounds and an extract of shield

Avizzi raises his hands and a knife dances between his fingers. "Hey now, I didn't say I was quitting, just that I'm glad this job's over. We wanna renegotiate a new contract, I'll be quite inclinated to digress at a future time on the heretofore unmentionables in my legalities, savvy?" He coughs and stashes the knife back... wherever it was. "As for payment, I like it in cold hard coinage, although favors can be nice on occasion, and future business opportunities are always welcome. My desire for carnal pleasure and booze stands."

The mention of helping citizens causes Avizzi to twitch slightly, just enough for the others to notice apparent discomfort.

"Shall we worry about payment and contracts after we win?" Jack says drawing his sword and approaching the doorway. "There won't be much relaxation in a bar if we don't live through this."

Jack himself is yearning to be back outside as the narrow corridors have been an annoyance to his fights but he has been coping well enough. However he doesn't seem to share the interest of the spoils after this mission.

"Anyone have any ideas or device against undead, or shall we cut our way through?"

Velden looks at the door thoughtfully. "I have a better idea. We barricade the door to trap this thing in there, fall back to the room with the sanctuary spell on it, and patch ourselves up. We've been going non stop for most of the day now. That thing waited all week for us, it'll wait until everyone is fully restored. As much as I want to get out of here, I can wait 10 hours to do so, if it means not losing anyone."

"Move the statues I destroyed over here. No one read these runes, I will tell you the safe word later." He instructs as he pulls out a chain and secures the door handles with it, simply linking the ends together with a spell. He then begins to trace some runes on either side of the door.

The group makes it back to the safe room that is near the stairs at the entrance of this level. It is a small chamber dominated on the far side by a silver fountain quietly burbling perfectly clear water. An inscription above the fountain reads, “Kassen’s legacy lives on with his people. Drink and be refreshed.” There is enough room even for your large group, it seems a bit larger than before being 20 feet deep and 15 feet wide.

Please state if you will be on watch (which two hour increment: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.), anything you do here to interact with the room, your equipment, or others.

Five puts down a cushion in the North West corner of the room and sits on it as if ready to meditate. He watches the group for a while then once things start to settle down he meditates. After 4 hours of meditation he calmly watches the group and the entrance. After the 4 more hours of rest he pulls out a large tome and studies his spells for the coming day.

The group finds her in her bedroll in the South West corner of the room with an extra blanket over her. She wakes up after the first watch and just reads scrolls and books unless someone gets her attention. She seems to have a hooded lantern which keeps the light to her corner of the room.

Velden casts 'close' on the doors (should lock them if they are unlocked).

In the room, Velden again scans the room with detect magic, but being distrustful of free healing, doesn't drink from the fountain. He also sits in the corner (opposite Jellena) and meditates for his 8 hours. If needed, he'll take a 2 hour watch at the beginning or end.

In the morning he tries to figure out the black magic item again. Casting guidance first (prayed for)

Appraise: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 1 = 19

If he can't identify it, he'll try to blindly activate again, with guidance.

UMD: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 = 10

Senva, absolutely enamored to meet Jellena, spends most of the time from leaving the collapse to meeting Five peppering her with questions. Five's distraction causes the young woman to switch her attention to him and she starts asking about what technology is and how things work. She claims it is her 'payment' and mutters something about Michel's lectures 'putting her to sleep.' She effectively ignores everyone and everything else.

When Five gets fed up (or she runs out of questions), Senva helps set up camp, creating some clean water out of thin air, and casting light on one of the two stones spinning around her head. She also approaches Velden; glances at her her soot-covered, singed cloak; and asks, "Can you help with this?"

She then proceeds to remove, unfold and then water two cubes from her backpack and then unfolds what appears to be a moss blanket and bedroll. She sets these out to dry a little. She spends the next two hours lackadaisically watching the doors while alternating between sitting and thinking and messing around with arcane energy. Before she crawls into bed she pulls the lit up stone down from around her head, renews the spell and gives it to the next watch.

In the morning, she folds and compacts her heavy moss blanket and bedroll, removing the last bits of water. When they are about the same size as last night, she returns them to he pack. After breakfast, she corners Creed and starts, "My mother had a spell she would use to help keep us cool when we visited the lava pool. With a little change it might be helpful."

Having fun with explaining one of her new (4th level) spells. If you want she can roll a diplomacy/intimidate check. She's going to cast resist energy (cold) and...

She starts chanting a quick line of words reminiscent of a warm fire on a cold day. She then, if he doesn't slip into rage or completely run away, pats him on the back and adds "Hold still." Senva moves back and then intones another spell.

...is now using ray of frost.

The ray harmlessly stops short of Creed's body. Senva gives a small sigh of relief before continuing, "Ohh, good that worked... Now, I also thought of a way to recreate the fire goblin's burning, anyone want to help with that?"

Velden looks at the cloak. "Yeah, let me see." He rubs at the singes, and says a few words in Celestial. The singe bits fall off, revealing new fabric underneath. Then he brushes at the stains, again speaking in Celestial.

The cloak flickers and turns a deep dark royal purple. Another swipe or two and it gains black swirls that make it look like it's billowing when hanging straight. "There, it's fixed."

Glad that Creed is doing well (aka alive) Sparky gets all excited and clambers all over the (more humanoid, less violent) larger doctor/psyco, riding on his shoulders' clambering into his backpack, sitting on his head, hanging off of his arm.... just making a nucance of himself.
At the makeshift camp Sparky keeps himself entertained by causing minor acts of mischef to anyone around, and then sleeping soundly the night through who would trust the little goblin to keep watch??
In the morning, after doing a lap in the healing pool and hearing Senva ask for volunteers, Sparky begins to frantically jump up and down and flail his arms around
Ohh! Me! Me! Me wanna do gobwin exch-spear-mant! We make fire, go boom? he will ask before attempting to steal one of Senvas floating stones...

Senva reverently takes off her brand nea cloak and carefully folds it next to her bedroll. In the morning she spends an hour or so just admiring it.

Swatting the little one from the stones he is definitely too young to safely use, she replies, in an almost patronizing tone, "It wouldn't be safe for kids, sorry little guy."
The spell is spontaneous immolation, does 3d6 dmamges and sets one on fire, not something to be used on children (or perceived children.)


Velden, to identify the black object you will need detect magic and a spellcraft check DC 25.

Velden:
The black object seems to be made of metal and pretty pricey metal at that, there is a crystal in it as well and a focusing lens. It probably would fetch 300 to 500 gp, maybe more to the right buyer.

As Velden messes with the object nothing seems to happen. But then Clap Trap drops from the ceiling, obviously from a ventilation shaft. He offers up a few refreshments to those around after giving Velden his new holy bow.

Fizzing Blue, burning orange, neon purple, and a frothy green drinks. He says they all are beneficial and only has three of each.

Once you select you may see the effects:

After his mediation and some time with his book, he watches and listens for the last two watches.

Five loves explaining how things work and normally never has listening ears or students, he takes advantage of the situation and gushes about technology and what he has been learning about in many of his fields. This likely takes an hour before his mediation.

Aannra gos into the safe room and find a spot, there she takes out from her pouch all the food and drink she been keeping for the group.

She then takes her cloths off, her tattoo covers her modesty and has a wash head to foot.

once down she checks all her kit, bring it out checks it and repacks.

She then pulls out her gun and study's it, she talks to it and it talks back, then it says "power mode inactive"

She thinks a moment then says.

"Activate power mode"

"Power Mode Activated, warning Power Mode may deplete power cells until reached"

A light comes on the Blaster.
Aannar holding the blaster sidewards presses the tigger.
There is a defaming whine then boom sound as it shoots the wall.

Gun 1d6+1d4+1 Force + Power Energy ray 5pp used 4d6 force 5d6 + 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1, 3, 1, 5, 4) + (4) + 1 = 19 Force hits the wall. 5 power point used

Aannra drops the gun with an "Ouch!!" as bits of stone work fly off the big dent in the wall.

"It sucked power out of me!"

"Cells now recharging, moral mode reinstated"
Says the blaster then powers down. for 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 rounds,

She puts the blaster away once it powers up again, but dos not use the power mode again. What ever it did it seemed to have shaken her. She sits down in the lotus position and gos into a deep trance for 4 hours. Then wakes getting up she dos exercises and drills.

Avizzi sleeps leaning against some rubble, pulling out a bedroll to use as a pillow, but not much else. In the morning, he opens one eye and watches the others getting around for a little while before stretching, groaning, and rising himself. As the others bustle about, he finds a spot to lay out his many knives and begins going over them all, polishing them and running each along a whetstone until it reaches some target quality he's looking for.

At the mention of the "fire goblin's burning," he turns to stare at Senva wild-eyed with one of the weapons in hand. "I swear to whatever you worship, if you start more explosions and fire in here, I'm gonna slit your damn throat. Don't test me." He jabs in her direction with the knife, then blinks. "Eh... I mean, just don't do it, huh? Smoke and all that. I'd rather not fry or choke to death." He hastily returns to his knives until the robot comes along.

Looking at the drinks, the scarred man scratches his head for a few moments, then takes one of the neon purple beverages. "They had something like this back home," he mutters, then opens it up and sniffs. "Not quite the same." He then reseals the container and puts it in his bag. "So, my fine hairy gents and scantily-clad ladies, when are we gonna get the hell out of here?"

Michel takes the offered item and carefully turns it over in his hands, carefully studying the device, at first the puzzles of the device remained elusive, but then he issues forth a cantrip to provide some divine inspiration, and his eyes open wide oh well then that's interesting
