I will be mostly unavailable this entire week. I am volunteering as a camp counselor and the only free time we get is a little bit in the late evening before we go to sleep. I may be able to slip in some small posts during that time, but I wouldn't count on much. Apologies for the short notice, and please DMPC me as needed.

It’s a good time for you to be away at camp with brief access to the Internet. I’ve been having trouble accessing Paizo’s site since Saturday. Sometimes the pages load, sometimes there’s nothing. Other people have mentioned similar problems on twitter and reddit.

Well, Rilka would know best what assets are available to the Aestherics for taking down or momentarily incapacitating a massed group of giants without risking the eggs and fledgelings; Pazeek is well aware that nothing he's carrying would serve in that regard.

Well it sounds like you want something like an AoE will save, so maybe Dalton or Ianna could prepare something? Scrolls are available as well.

Yeah, giants are annoyingly hardy bastards, so stuff with Fortitude saves--which is damn near everything Pazeek has or could make that isn't straight damage-dealing--isn't a good option. So making them think they're sunflowers or something like that is a better choice.

That's really the one aspect of alchemy I don't much like, to be honest. Just about everything else a character could do scales with level, or can be otherwise improved via feats and items. Alchemy is pretty much most useful at the levels where it's the hardest to consistenly make what you want/need.

I'm wondering if I could get Pazeek's eventual Master Alchemist feat modified to work like the modified Poison Focus that you approved, trading a penalty on the Craft check for increased save DCs.

Honestly Pathfinder has a pretty simple system for determining scaling DCs.

10 + 1/2 HD + relevant ability modifier

Possible to get small additional bonuses with feats (each +1, usually ending at +2), and rarely with other options (such as items).

Resources:

They tend to have lower reflex saves too. Something like Entangle might do the trick.
