Sneaky bird sneakily sneaking through, on the way to an important meeting arranged by his new employers.
Pazeek is ready for action at any time now, with all stats and gear finalized.

Just to clarify, Ianna doesn't think that there is anything wrong with being asexual. She doesn't judge Toramin for it afterall. Besides, love can take all sorts of forms.
Dalton Barrowwheel |
I would be utterly shocked if Ianna thought there was anything wrong with any kind of sexual orientation. That's kind of her whole shtick :P
Just so we're clear, I'm into bulettes IRL.
Dalton is rather ambivalent on the matter. Takaral is more curious, but we'll see what S'meena reveals.

Six times the scratching!
Thick, bulbous head good at burrowing.
It's okay, I'll let myself out now.
*casts disintegrate on self*
Ianna Trealamhgabha |
I wanted a small scene before we move on to see if Ianna can provide some amount of healing and therapy to Geoffrey as we discussed earlier in the conversation.
Ianna Trealamhgabha |
Basically, she is going to go over with spells like Sense Madness, Diagnose Disease, Improved Detect Magic, Lesser Restoration, Restoration, Absolution, and Atonement.
If there is some pathology, she will root it out. If it is stress and guilt, then Absolution and some talk therapy would do him some good. At the very least we can get him his hair back. :-)
And if he has misplaced his paladinhood, then Atonement and religious guidance might be able to save him from being a fighter without the bonus feats
Ianna Trealamhgabha |
?
I did and he agreed.
DM Omen |
As a heads up to everybody in all of my games, I will be having a drastic schedule change for the summer.
I am no longer working a normal 9-5 job (don't worry I didn't get fired, it was an internship position that ended), and instead will be only working on the weekends. I will not be able to post at all most weekends, expect maybe some quick posts late at night. During the week I should be able to post very often, perhaps not quite as much later in the day.
Also I will be spending quite a bit of the upcoming summer doing some world traveling, which will mean frequent vacations where I will most likely not be posting. I will let everybody know when I will be gone. Speaking of which, I will be gone this Monday through Wednesday. I can possibly sneak some quick posting in at night, but I wouldn't count on much.
However as a general note, my posting amount should generally increase since I will have a lot of free time during the week.
Thank you everybody for your understanding, and happy gaming!

It does not need to be killed. It just needs a friend!
Rilka Featherfeet |
That’s really exciting DM Omen. Thanks for the update. Where are you going? Do you speak any other languages? If you don't mind me asking.
Dalton Barrowwheel |
We're figuring out destinations still. English only so that does limit our options a bit.
English is the official language in the domain of the platypus.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
Lol, I think we got some background story wires crossed there. I thought we'd worked out that Pazeek's flock got raided for prisoners, not that the attackers stuck around for an occupation.
However! I believe I can work what I put in the spoiler and what you put out into a single coherent whole, if you'll let me.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
Well, as I said, I have a possible solution.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
The raid happened, as Pazeek said. But it was meant to be a quick in-and-out that unexpectedly saw greater success than the raiders antipicated, due to the Rising Sun flock have gotten a bit slack in their usual vigilance. So the raiders decided to go a step further and try for an occupation.
Edit: To picture, by the way, what the tengu are living in, their architecture is pretty identical to the sorts of buildings you'd see in Nepal, Tibet, and thereabouts. Very much like this for the most part.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
Roughly 200-300 or so, 1/5 of which are fledglings and eggs. Rising Sun is a pretty prosperous flock by tengu standards, so they're a fair bit more numerous than the average.
Rilka Featherfeet |
Welcome to the game Pazeek! I thought you were an alias of DM Omen’s at first.
@DM Omen I'm pretty sure you mentioned Geoffrey's entrance in this scene.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
Lol, no, I'm a live body all my own. I play in another campaign with a few people already in this one, Omen among them, and they've somehow been fooled into believing that I know what I'm doing when I post :p. So I got invited here as a consequence, and now have twice as many chances to demonstrate that I'm just flailing at the keyboard like a coked-up monkey!
Rilka Featherfeet |
DM Omen beat me to the link, but here’s the relavent bit:
After a good Taryin breakfast, the party sets out on the now-familiar route to the Aestherics lair. Expect this time once they reach the area where they can see the bones of the golden dragon Gelrint the Wise, Geoffrey appears out another of the side tunnels. He greets the party warmly and continues with them to the Hand's Council. Geoffrey appears to have a similar level of familiarity with the Aestheric lair as the party; aware of it and no longer in awe, but not very familiar either.

Aside from seeing if anyone picks up on Pazeek's twitchiness regarding adamantine mines--and does a criticial success like that result in anything particular--nope, I'm good.
Going to be interesting to see if I can properly balance Pazeek's racial paranoia--to say nothing of his shameless loot hogging when that comes up--against being a functional member of the party.

Regarding the map's locations, I think #2 would serve well as the quarry building which Pazeek made note of (just get rid of the wall surrounding it). The area to the north of that can be as the quarry itself, with the road sloping down into the excavation and then back out again.
#1 would do nicely as the central nest itself, if that little grey building immediately to the west is extended enough to connect with it.
Geographically the area is a plateau, so there would be some fields and water present. Trees to serve as windbreaks and soil retention too.

My usual unlimited internet source just got unexpectedly cut, so I'll have to make do with a slower, metered source for an unknown amount of time. Among other things, my post rate will drop to twice a day, at the most.
