I'm ready to be done here, but I have a few questions:

1. Do we know what happens when the loop ends? Do we get shunted back into the Soul Forge?

2. Are we obligated by our contract to settle up with Panrick?

3. We came for a variety of reasons get get Calios out of here. Did we succeed?

4. Dalton needs to settle his promises with Sveng after Sveng dies. What were they?

Otherwise, I'm excited to leave this place forever.


1) You're not entirely sure, but Dalton would be able to theorize its very unlikely. In an abstract sort of way, you're just a continuation of your time remnants. Once they disappear you are simply now the originals.

2) I'm willing to handwave that.

3) Last you knew he was being kept in magma on a submerged plateau when Malose came in, after which you were shunted out of the timeline. You don't know how it effected the others in the room and/or what occurred after you were shunted out.

I'm good with handwaving until you've returned to the Aestherics.

As for the airship idea, even if I handwaived the enourmous cost I wouldn't be comfortable with you guys having it at this level. Will keep it in mind for the future though.

I'm trying to play up how much Toramin loathes Heff and by extension the Hand as a group. Personally, he has no thoughts on Krokar, respects Alia, has no problem with Drosil, even if Drosil acts all butt-hurt, and thinks Jasper is rude but funny. But the five of them together are just the worst. :-p

120,000 in toto or per person?

Given our previous discussion, my plan for Ianna is to pay for the special training to get Skill Focus (Knowledge: Religion), retrain her last level to Exalted 1, and then take her next two levels in Exalted. Is this okay?

Yup sounds good, and you can halve the cost for training since you'll be getting it from the Aestherics (basically they don't charge for services but still need the equipment).

Hmm, I'm leaning towards no because it sounds like what could be an unbalanced spell. I'm just envisioning somebody pummeling somebody else while they stand there unable to retaliate. Also I think it goes against the entire pacifist RAI and flavor of the spell. I'm open to arguments though.

I don't disagree about it being against the RAI, but then again I think Invisibility that doesn't break is ridiculous too.

The reason I asked is because 24,000 per person actually has us below WBL for 11 level.

We are at 9th level but have the WLB of 8th level characters (33,000). 11th level characters should have (82,000).

That would leave 25,000 off of where characters our level would normally be at. Instead of a lump sum, can we do what we have done previously and just get wealth adjusted to 11 (or 9th in the case of Ianna)?


Well we're not actually supposed to count cohorts into WBL, because they're technically an extension of another character.

Cohorts gain wealth independently from the character based on their level.

But even if we divide the 120,000 by 4, it is still far less than the WBL of an 11th level character.

I'll take my portion of the 120,000 and be happy, but I'm really unclear how Ianna should fit into that sum given how we have treated her in the past.

2. Is her money now taken out of Toramin's? (which would be both new and suck)

3. How should we handle her wealth if it is separate?

On the plus side of the new way we are handling wealth, we can actually use the loot we stripped off of Calios instead of having to trash it all when our WBL is normalized.

I suggest that we sell some off to Malan. If he doesn't want the evil items, we can see if a nice cult wants to buy them for redemption or destruction. But we should keep the amulet of NA and ring of Protection (both +3).

Either Bjorkus or Toramin could get a lot of benefit from them. How should we divvy them up?

Oh that reminds me,

If you're interested in turning Calios's bracers to the side of good, then I have decided you can do the research at 1/2 price and 1/2 time, at a DC of 10 lower, and once the research is done the bracers can be converted with a zero-cost ritual.

Ianna: RAW, no. It clearly says spell only. But between the flavor and my opinion of balance levels, I'm comfortable houseruling to say that it works for adoration.

Regarding the money, Dalton may be able to offer some options to you all and/or a crafting discount. However, I need to see Omen's response to the previous post first.

In fairness to the group (Omen included), I feel I should highlight:

Primal Surge (Su)Whenever a primalist triggers a primal magic event, she rolls the percentile dice twice to determine the event that occurs and chooses which one of the two possible events occurs. She becomes resistant to the effects of primal magic events. Anytime an event would affect her, the GM rolls 1d20 + the event’s CR against a DC of 11 + her wizard level. If this roll fails, the event does not affect her, similar to a creature with spell resistance ignoring magical effects with an SR check. If the primal magic event is duplicating the effects of a spell that does not allow spell resistance (such as create pit), this resistance does not apply.

In the interest of simplicity (and since Ianna contributes just as much as anyone else), I suggest we just split the gold five ways.

I'd like to grab that headband of charisma too but Bjorkus gets a lot of mileage out of Targ's headband. I suppose he could just pay the difference to get Ianna to combine them.

Demonspike Pauldrons: Sold.

Bracelet of Cruelty: Redeemed and given to Toramin.

Ring of the Servant: Sold? Potentially Rilka since she seems to get a good deal of solo missions and it'd help with checking in on her.

Omen, how are you ruling the effects of Move Earth targeting ground underneath a structure larger than the affected area. For example, a 50' x 50' structure with a 25' x 25' ring missing under one of its corners.
