You search the rest of the rooms clockwise.
Eventually, you come upon a stack of small stack of rooms.
While now seemingly used as storage, they are big enough to have been a guestroom for 1 person each.
Various parts of a dozen corpses lie strewn about the floor. Blood
and gore stain everything, making the floor slick and filling the room with a metallic aroma. Bodies lie askew, mouths hanging open in silent screams, faces contorted in fear.
A muttering figure is rocking back and forth with a terrified look on her face.
"This can't be happening..can't be happening..can't be happening"

Having searched the entire floor, you eventually come across a backstage room, where a rickety wooden staircase leads down to what is likely the basement. Some braziers give a dim glowing light to the place.
