Galahad swings at one of the goblins, but the thick underbrush makes it difficult to hit the creatures. Helios has more luck, striking down the goblin who had injured him. Bjorn matches the blow, striking down a second goblin. Bani manages to injure a third goblin while Manus looks for his best opening. The goblins strike back, with one of them managing to strike Galahad with a vicious blow while the other goblin distracts him with a chant and feint.

Bjorn and his blade go to work ending the goblin menace.

The final goblin falls to Bjorn's blade. Leaving the party alone in the woods at the edge of the cliff that houses the goblin fort. I long wooden walkway ascends to the gates and buildings that stand 30' up.

Pulling out a rag, Helios cleans his hammerhead. "Wait Galli, let us first see if we find anything useful on those gobbos. Ale ain´t cheap or for free, you know? Does anyone know of any, you know goblin ear bounty?"

Each goblin is armed with a dogslicer and a sling. They all wear leather armor. You find a few coins among them. Probably enough to buy a round once you get back to town, but not much else.

Galahad heads up the lashed-together wooden poles form a makeshift staircase crudely bolted and fixed to the side of the stone shelf. The stairs lead upward to a platform that sits thirty feet above the ground. Although the construction looks like it shouldn't hold, it is surprisingly solid. However, about half way up the staircase, Galahad hears a loud crash of glass shattering against the wall next to him. Some kind of brown colored fungus is spread over the side of the cliff where the glass broke, and Galahad feels the heat instantly sucked out of the air, as he feels as if he's going to go hypothermic. His extemeties start to go numb, and his entire body shivers.

Everyone below sees a jar of some substance catapulted by some devious trap on the stairs, which crashes into the wall next to Galahad.

The only "obvious" way up is the staircase no covered in some kind of mold. More difficult ways up:
1) Grappling hooks or climbing cliff walls to get up to the fort (30" up, and 10' buildings on top of that if you aren't going in the gate.
2) Climbing scalolding to get up the higher part of the stairs which currently beyond the danger area of the mold. (This looks easier than scaling the wall but harder than using a rope.)

Bjorn runs to the scaffolding and begins climing. It's 30 feet up, and you are able to climb 1/4 of your move, so you gain 10'. (60 on double move -20 to the scaffold = 40 move was remaining Manus unleashes a magic missile at the mold, but it seems to have no effect on it. A goblin lobs alchemist fire off of the top of one of the buildings, evidently aiming around Galahad, but the shot goes long, and crashes to the ground at the bottom of the scaffolding.

Bjorn makes it up the scaffolding with Galahad. They find themselves outside of a gate made up of shields and armor pieces. It looks surprisingly strong. You hear goblins on the other side.

Climbing will require climb checks to get up 30 feet on the wall or the scaffolding, or it will require ascending the stairs where the mold does damage to everything passing in a 15' radius.

You can hear the goblins chattering at each other in their language inside the fort. Galahad smashes the gate open, and the goblins unleash a hail of fire, but only one bullet manages to do any damage.

The green goblin dodges sever dodges blows by Galahad, Helios, and Bjorn, dodging, weaving and hurling insults. "Three little humies, can't hit me. Miss, and miss, and miss, tee hee hee. Some get a rock and some get a stab. Soon they all together on slab." With this, he manages to take a step to the north and slash at Bjorn, drawing blood. Meanwhile, all of his companions are completely useless with their slings, sending several shots sailing over the edge of the cliff.

The tide turns quickly as 3 goblins get chopped down. The last goblin slings another rock in the direction of Bjorn, but it reflects off his armor. The goblin drops his sling, pulling a hand weapon as he runs away around the building in the middle of the courtyard.
