I am still short one local feat, but wasn't sure what to do as I don't meet any of the "affinity" prerequisites of the local feats I could see in the PRD.
Piatra, the "affinity" just means you come from that area. If you want to change your back story to fit one you can. Also, I am not being too strict with the affinities as long as you come up with a good ratinale.
If it works, I'll take Big Game Hunter. I could just as easily trained to fight giants and large creatures in the Tanglebriar... as I could have trained for stuff in Varisia.
I found the Survivor feat in the Inner Sea World Guide. It was a lot less attached to the River Kingdoms than in on the PRD. I changed my feat to Diehard and took Survivor. Hopefully he lives up to the image I have of him as a survivor.

No, we are not using Hero Points. Dryden, if you're using Hero Lab (I know you are) remember to remove the Hero Point option.
Some basics.
For combat, I will roll initiative if thats fine with everyone, with 8 players it would kinda drag waiting for each initiative roll. Once Init. is set, then characters can post in blocks, i.e. All that go before the monster, then all that go after the monster. I will make allowances for changing actions if another action changes the tactical situation.
I am on most of the day during the week, although sometimes that is spotty. The weekends will be slower as I run PFS on Saturdays and go out on Sundays. I will let you know when things come up (like the first weekend of Nov I will be traveling). Let me know when any of you have the same situation. Also, let me know if you are OK with me NPC your actions during combat if you are holding things up. I usually let those characters hold, but sometimes you may be critical to the action.
I'm fine with the initiative. Fortunately I have a fairly simply character. I'll list a few actions I'll take depending on situation to guide you on what the character would do.

Where did the talk of the Professor being a Necromancer come from? DM never mentioned it, or did I miss it?
This is the first mention of Necromancer...and it was from a player what gives? Is somebody reading ahead lol?

Haha. I was following Hasmari's lead. I'm not even sure what the Professor was like in real life. I read the Player's Guide. The Professor seems like a scholar of some kind. I was wondering if Hasmari knew something about the Professor we didn't all know.
Maybe you were reading Team Brain's thread like I do. Galahad posted something about a necromancer for them. I look in on their thread to see how they're doing. They have a bit more of an odd makeup to their group. It's interesting to see the contrast.
They seem to be going at a similar pace. Galahad seems to post for both groups at roughly the same pace. It's fun to see how the other group interacts. If they get ahead, I'll stop looking in on them until we catch up. Don't want to ruin my own enjoyment of the campaign.
Alright. I'll stop reading the other thread. Shol'asul, Ad'ifaah, Venedictos, and that rough and ready halfling Abe are amusing me. I thought Abe was going to start beating down some townfolk. And we were going to see people screaming as the tiny one started on a murderous rampage.
Regretfully I am going to retire from this game. I have found the paizo forums to be too unwieldy especially in comparison to the Myth-weaver site I am used to. The reflects not on any of the other players of the GM but my personal preference and tolerance. Good luck to you all thanks for giving me a chance.
Galahad -- I probably should have mentioned this during recruitment (apologies) -- but I'm going to need to have Arigoder flipped into NPC mode from Saturday the 22 to the 30th. Family vacation (finally!).
