Lukian questions wether or not the Pathfinders should be giving mercy to the drug dealer while Zordlon delays and miscounts the number of allies he has on the field.

Your first AoO would have happened while he was still prone, so you couldn't have tripped him anyway.

However I still made an error. Since your previous post said it included the Prone bonus, I thought you had added +4 so I subtracted 4 from your swing, but I see now that you have a +6 to attack, so your AoO would have hit and killed Laszo. I will have an update post shortly.

Rewind:

As Laszo attempts to stand, Phil takes advantage of his position and slices neatly between the Lepers ribs, downing him permanently.

As he hits the ground again, his scroll tube pops loose and within the Pathfinders find a collection of notes in the Lepers hand writing.

Unlike the scribbles found on the work table, these are meticulous, but seem to be written in some type of shorthand pertaining to Alchemy.

Linguistics DC 16:
You learn that Whip is a drug of Laszo’s own design, and that he resents that the Aspis Consortium has already begun to mass produce the drug from his imperfect formula. He names several specific individuals within Diobel who he blames for allowing whip to spread before he could perfect it.

If you have Craft: Alchemy, you receive a +4 Circumstance bonus on the above check.

The alchemist a bloody mess at her feet, Ny's seems lost in her thoughts; her sword remains raised for quite a few extra beats before she lowers the blade slowly. He had an opportunity to seek mercy, more than once. Iomedae's justice must be delivered swiftly in the face of the unrepentant.

When her senses finally come around to where she is, Ny'a investigates the notes with interest but can make little sense of them herself. She hands them off to someone better schooled to understand the notes.

OK, here it says that he designed the drug known as whip, and it appears that the Aspis is starting to mass produce the drug. But it is still not perfected. He list possible persons who could have leaked the formula before he could finish designing it. Hm, they all seem to live in Diobel.

Ok, moving us forward, I will need to know if you agree to give Zordlon the notes or not.

With Laszo dead, the Pathfinders return, exhausted, to the ship, and await word from their contact, hoping they were successful. No word from Delroya comes the next day and the Pathfinders are left to their own devices, wondering what's become of the shipment.

Around noon on Fireday, Captain Zendrani calls a meeting on the deck of the Sixwing Drake. “An urchin boy delivered this note just a few minutes ago. I tried to keep him here so we could talk to him, but he slipped away without a word and ran off into the city. I haven’t looked at the note—but it seems to be from Delroya.” The captain hands over the note. Slide revealed in Map Link.

A large warehouse looms into view at the end of Gull Street. Its main level sits at the edge of the street above a ten-foot drop to the harbor’s waters below. A door in the western wall of the warehouse opens, and a woman clad in simple leather armor steps out. Her features display a blend of Taldan and Mwangi heritages, and her crisp accent is difficult to place.

“I am Magali Delroya. You must come quickly, Pathfinders. We do not wish to be seen.” Delroya moves briskly, waving off protests or interruptions, and speaks with the rhythm of her steps. “Questions later. Much is at stake. First you must listen.”

Her outward display of authority does not entirely mask her fear. The small room through the warehouse’s western door features a round table and several chairs. “This room is for the guards. They are all too busy dealing with our disruptions, so no one is here for now. That door leads to the docks below,” she says, indicating a door in the southern wall. “Come this way. I will show you the warehouse.” She opens a door in the northern wall, revealing a cavernous storage room.

Haphazard stacks of barrels and crates almost reach the ceiling twenty feet above. Two large skylights in the ceiling provide ample light during the day, and a dozen unlit lanterns are spaced around the room. To the east, a wide opening in the southern wall looks out over the loading bay ten feet below. A freight elevator platform rigged to a complex set of pulleys and ropes and a staircase both lead down to the loading bay. “As you can see, the Aspis Consortium maintains a sizable operation out of this warehouse, which they rent from the Kortos Consortium’s Locosta family in exchange for alchemical goods. After tonight, I hope that the relationship between Aspis and Kortos will be irreparably damaged. We may have delayed the shipment, but my sources tell me that both the Kortos and Aspis consortia are likely to investigate the warehouse later tonight. I had hoped for more time, but I will not able to move the goods until after midnight. I need your help in holding off the agents until everything is in order. They are not likely to work together, so you should prepare for multiple groups of agents. While I have no qualms about fighting the Aspis agents, if possible we should avoid further antagonizing the Kortos Consortium. Their agents may be willing to look the other way. Because the agents are on high alert, you should stay at the warehouse until they arrive. We wouldn’t want anyone spotted or attacked out in the city before we’re ready. That gives you several hours to prepare. Most of the items in the warehouse are simple trade goods designed to make this outfit look legitimate. You may want to take some time to look around, though—you never know what the Aspis Consortium might have stowed away here. I can stay here briefly, if you have questions or need assistance.”

As you walk through the warehouse Delroya also points out two secret entrances she found while investigating. C and E on the Warehouse Map (Slide 2)

You may ask questions of Delroya if you have any. At this point you may also make preparations for the arrival of Consortium forces. The numbers 1-6 on the map represent places that can be searched for potentially useful items. C&E are secret entrances. All the empty white boxes are doorways that might be used to enter the warehouse.
If you would like to move any crates these are the mechanics (You have around 6 hours to prepare):One PC can move a 5-foot square of stacked crates by hand a total of 5 feet in 10 minutes—if the PC succeeds at a DC 20 Strength check, or if a group of PCs works together, they can move the same amount a total of 10 feet in 10 minutes. A PC can knock over a stack of crates as a full-round action if she succeeds at a DC 18 Strength check; falling crates deal 2d6 points of damage to creatures in a 10-foot line (Reflex DC 15 negates), and create an area of difficult terrain in those squares. PCs may use the aid another action to assist each other on this Strength check.

______________
About the Notes

N'ya objects to Zordlon taking any of the notes for himself. "These are all property of the Pathfinder Society now; we have to turn them in. 'Report' and all that, you know. I'm sure the archives would be happy to let you review them in the Grand Lodge at your leisure."

In the Warehouse

Ny'a agrees with Zordlon and Phil. "I think limiting access is good, too. We could let that dog loose in the break room; that would essentially close off access through that door. We should also try blocking the secret doors with these crates, if we can. Ideally, we only leave one entrance open, then we control their access!"

Ny'a will attempt to move the crates nearest "C" to block that secret door (assuming it's a trapdoor in the floor from its placement?)

Strength DC 20: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

It will take her 20 minutes to move a stack of crates onto that door, unless someone assists (probably best to use resources to block other doors at the moment, I don't think we're running out of time yet).

Ny'a The secret door is actually up against the wall, but you can still use 20 minutes to move it there without issue.

I'll rule that Emilia spends roughly the first hour searching the boxes, since her rolls were so high, she has found everything that there is to find in those areas, you can read the spoilers.

Lukian illusions are fine, but I'll need to know where and what you are setting up. Also I need to know if you are participating in preparing the warehouse in any other capacity.

I've added the hungry dog to area 2 in case there is any desire to do something with it, the other findings don't really require icons.

So 6 hours of prep time:
Ny'a has used 20 minutes to move a stack of boxes in front of secret door C and has 5 Hours and 40 minutes of potential prep time left.

Emilia has used 1 Hour of Prep time exploring and has 5 Hours of prep time left.

Ny'a spends some additional time to block off the double door from the dock and the door up into the main area from there.

At 10 minutes per 5' (it's unlikely she'll make enough STR checks to improve that meaningfully), I estimate it will take her an additional hour to block the double doors on the dock, and 10 minutes to block the door into the warehouse from the dock area. That leaves just the main doors from the street to cover, does that sound right?

If so, Zordlon and Lukian should focus their spells in that area.

Sometime near dusk the Pathfinders hear footsteps around the building and some muffled talking. It's hard to hear everything but at one point they can hear a woman say.
"I don't know, the Aspis said there was something up, so we were sent to make sure everything is secure."

They hear one of the doors to the south slide open followed by a loud cure. "What the hell? This whole entrance is blocked off!"

"Blocked here too! I think I've got an idea though. You guys try the employee entrance." Says another voice from near the guards quarters.

Curiously the pathfinders hear what sounds like footsteps moving up, along one of the walls.

"What! How did they know about the secret entrance?" Shouts a voice behind the wall to the north. "Screw it! I'll knock these crates over, help me!" he says to someone and you hear the sounds of struggling and can see the boxes wriggling as they agents attempt to knock the stack over.

The stack tips over with a loud crash, as it does the skylights in the roof each open up and two more agents repel in from the roof.

The one nearest your position by the doors stares at you suspiciously.
"Who the hell are you and what are you doing to our warehouse?" She demands while the other two agents move in from the secret door.

Emilia watches the Kortos agents warily. "Our issue is not with you. We are here to have a visit with your Aspis fellows. They have committed some rather repugnant crimes while under the protection of your Consortium. I wonder how the leaders of this port would react when they discovered that the Kortos fellows were offering protection to a group that was using their citizens as test subjects for an awful drug? Or that you all were allowing them to utilize this very warehouse for their vile ventures?"

"Indeed!" Ny'a steps forward, arms raised weaponless (at least for the moment).

"We have no specific complaint with the Kortos Consortium here, but the Aspis Consortium is up to some really nasty business with this new drug called whip."

She nods her head towards the Kortos agents she's addressing. "I'm certain you had no idea what they were up to, or you wouldn't have been involved."

She motions her hands around to the various defenses the Pathfinders have erected. "If you would leave us be, we will arrest the Aspis agents when they arrive, and then your warehouse will be back in tip top shape."

"Or, if you want, you could stay and help us capture them!"

Phil raises an eyebrow to Ny'a's proposal, and lifts his left arm in a dismissive motion.

"Naw, don' bother yerself. I think ya should jus' leave. I'm sure the Kortos Consortium can make more lucrative deals with less shady folk; the Aspis aren't worth dealin' with, especially since they're prone ta stabbin' ya in tha back 'n running with tha money."

I'm going to need diplomacy or bluff check if you are attempting to persuade the agents. Aid rolls are acceptable as well.

Edit: I'll need a check from everyone trying is what I meant.

Lukian there are a number of tools on the top bar of the page to add in shapes of various sizes, I have already added your wall illusion in front of the only doors that we rent barricaded (it's with the grease).

"I..." The lead Kortos agent seems at a loss for words for a moment. She seems unconvinced at first, but after Emilia speaks she looks to her colleagues and nods.

"I've been kind of wondering about their reliability, and we heard about the drug addicts recovered from the sewer, were the Aspis really involved in that?"

One of the others shrugs his shoulders to show he has no idea, but is willing to believe it.

"Alright, we'll keep quiet about you being here while we go look into these accusations a little more, the Aspis have influence here in Diobel, and we'd rather not get mixed up in more than we can chew. I've heard they're sending a few men this way as well, so you might was to be ready."

With a nod from their leader, the Kortos agents leave back the way they came, the one who knocked over the crates apologizes and promises to tell his superiors it was him and not you who damaged them as they exit the secret door.

It's quiet again in the warehouse for a little while, and Lukian maintains concentration on his illusion while the others wonder when the Aspis will arrive. Roughly half an hour after the Kortos agents leave, they begin to hear voices outside again and the sliding of doors followed by curses and pounding on the barricades.

"Oh we've got other ways to get in there!" One gruff voice shouts from the roof top as the skylights open for the second time in one night and two figures repel down from the roof. As they do, the Pathfinders hear the voices of a couple more agents near the broken remains of the stack of boxes from earlier and see a face poke in through the secret door. "Caught you red handed! You'll pay for ruining our work here!" They shout, clear in their hostile intent.
