Tatiana can't do much against such foe. So she uses her magic to help her comrades.

May Destiny be on our side.

Then she draws her wand of cure light wounds.

Ditto! So, let's give it a go. What exactly are you trying to do? Trip the statue with the rope? Slide it backward in the grease? Pull it down onto its back? Entangle its feet?

Grand Lodge

male human (ulfen) sorcerer/5 [HP: 32/32] [init: +4; perc: +0] [AC: 13(17+)/13/11(15+)] [saves: 4/4/5] [ CMB: 2; CMD 15(13)] [ele. rays used: 0/7] [Active Conditions: ]

Try to trip it, face first.

Devil We Know | Burden of Envy | B12 Somewhere Below (GM School)

Okay, I've decided it makes the most sense to treat the rope maneuver as an assisted trip attack with reach, so:

Ferando, CMB (trip)vs Statue CMD of 14): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Hannar CMB,successful Aid adds+2: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

No Aid, but success! No damage, but statue is prone. And no AoO against PCs due to reach of rope. All PCs in the line of the rope need to make Reflex saves with +2 circumstance bonus (DC 16) to avoid falling prone as the rope comes by

Wylka Reflex with bonus: 1d20 + 0 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 0 + 2 = 10
Wylka falls. But (assuming he did not move this turn), he can stand and make his attack, so that stands!

The cleric blades fractures a piece of the statues stone skin!

Then the prone statue is licked with flames.
Reflex save (DC 17): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
It takes full damage, though much is absorbed by its stone surface.

Devil We Know | Burden of Envy | B12 Somewhere Below (GM School)

Barbra Reflex +2 circ bonus: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 = 12

Barbra is unable to avoid the rope and falls prone.

The statue, also on the ground before her, attempts to stand in the magical grease.
Statue, Reflex save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

It fails, so it makes a second attempt.

Statue, Reflex save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

And it just manages to get to its feet and resumes its combat stance.

Moving down Argenta unleashes another torrent of flame at the creature. I can barely touch it I think. Does anyone have anything else that might harm it?

Burning hands again, DC17, 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 2, 3) + 3 = 11 fire damage. Would acid flasks be subject to its hardness? I know there is some variation on what damage types might not be subject to hardness given what the CRB says.

The large open room you are currently in, appears to currently be outfitted as a training room. Weapon racks are mounted on the north wall on either side of the entrance and contain a variety of wooden practice weapons. Argenta spots nothing else of interest other than the remains of the statue/

The walls of the large open room still hold the traces of plaster and paint from what was once a large fresco. However, not enough remains of the mural to determine its subject matter.

Engineering (DC 20+) to study the statue:
You identify particular pieces of the mechanical statue that appear to power the statue. With this knowledge, you believe you could smash off those pieces and, upon presenting them to someone with some knowledge, perhaps use them to build similar devices.

Behind the door to the next room, Tatiana can here that the room beyond is currently occupied. She hears a few short words given in Vudrani, followed by just hints of someone or, more likely, something moving in response. Fernando can confirm none of this. He can confirm, however, that the door appears to be unlocked.

The kicked door flies open into a room nicely decorated and comfortably furnished, unlike the rest of the complex. Cushioned chairs create a comfortable sitting area, and a large tapestry depicting a battle of dozens of dervishes in a bright yellow sandy desert adds color to the room. The air is scented with cinnamon and trophy heads and animal skins decorate the floor and remaining walls.

Before you is a crouched tiger, which seems waiting for a reason to pounce. Beyond stands a man of Vudrani descent, dressed in fine silks, and pointing a scepter in your direction.

"Behold, the scepter of the arclords!" cries the man in accented common as you enter. "Hold yourselves, fast and lower your weapons. Else you will face the fury of the arcane powers of this artifact!"

He reaches down to stroke the gently stroke the fur on the still crouching tiger, before continuing, "Would you have me believe that your organization is willing to beg the wrath of that man--or more accurately that of his captors, the nobles and mystics who blind the man, truly running the country while 'our honored Thakur' spends away his days scribbling poems and dressing his wives? Among the disassembled items in Zamir's "collection", you can see portions of a morning star that bear an Osirian motif that appears to be rather ancient.

Devil We Know | Burden of Envy | B12 Somewhere Below (GM School)

Hannar observes just a few different auras, all rather faint. He believes that, if distributed among the Pathfinders, you should be able to take the pieces back to the Venture-Captain. Furthermore, you know that the persons who apparently disassembled the items--the captives in the workshop--as the result of intimidation and promises have remained in the workshop with the assurance of protection from the Pathfinders when they leave.

Devil We Know | Burden of Envy | B12 Somewhere Below (GM School)

Realizing that his current scheme is over and that the Pathfinders offer presents a host of new opportunities, Zamir agrees to come with you. Indeed, he seems so incredibly grateful that he has retained his life that he offers a sum of more than 300 gold pieces to each of the Pathfinders from a chest within his room.

While Zamir is a boastful and power-hungry fool, but he’s not an idiot. Upon seeing the destruction of the statue and the state of the guards and monks that he had coerced into his employ, he can see that his agreement to the Pathfinders' diplomatic approach to the affair probably saved his life from the agents of the Thakur.

Unless of course:
Argenta tells a certain someone what she knows...
