I vaguely recall checking at least one well, but I'm not sure how thorough we were. That would be a good assignment for the magistrates men - checking a whole bunch of wells.

Does Bear's Endurance boost hitpoints? I thought a temporary effect like that did not. Maybe that's just for wisdom and intelligence - they do not boost the number of spells, skills, etc. If so, it sure makes it a much more desirable spell than I thought!

Sure does give health though it acts more like a standard barbarian rage and the health disappears at the end of its duration, which can get really bad if you are brought unconscious.

I just found out that the feat I took, Second Chance, requires combat expertise, not combat reflexes. I did a search on combat reflexes to see if there were any good feats that had it as a pre-req and it had come up, only combat and reflexes were not actually together. Nuts. I'm swapping it out for combat casting.

I know that shocking grasp gets multiplied on a crit. I think this is because it is a touch attack. Elemental touch is also a touch attack, so I suspect it follows the same rules. Not sure though. I'll see if I can find a post on the message boards about this and reference it later.

Sure thing, Grinner. He's the GM and can do things whichever way he wants. In fact the more personal touches the better to me. But I play in a lot of PFS games and want to know what the RAW is.

Also, as per Spellstrike (Su): At 2nd level, whenever a magus casts a spell with a range of “touch” from the magus spell list, he can deliver the spell through any weapon he is wielding as part of a melee attack. Instead of the free melee touch attack normally allowed to deliver the spell, a magus can make one free melee attack with his weapon (at his highest base attack bonus) as part of casting this spell. If successful, this melee attack deals its normal damage as well as the effects of the spell. If the magus makes this attack in concert with spell combat, this melee attack takes all the penalties accrued by spell combat melee attacks. This attack uses the weapon's critical range (20, 19–20, or 18–20 and modified by the keen weapon property or similar effects), but the spell effect only deals ×2 damage on a successful critical hit, while the weapon damage uses its own critical modifier.

I know some of you could get out of here pretty quickly, but I'm not one of them. With each square already costing 2 movement, I don't think I have a chance of escaping. I think the best possibility is if we can take this down and then try to get out. But I don't think I can run.

False Life can only be cast on me. I have to touch someone to cast Bear's Endurance on them, unfortunately. And I'm trying the magic missile now.


Hmmm. Glad that came out. I was going to cast False Life on another character in a different game and now I know better. I thought I looked that up and found it was touch or something but I was wrong.

The encouraging thing: You have a level 2 and a level 1 option. You are far from useless in this.

That's the problem. I'd have to figure a way inside its reach and make a casting defensively check to get the spell to stick. If the magic missile doesn't work, I'll see what I can do.


You can cast the spell outside its reach, move to within 3 of the creature and next to one of us, and deliver the spell. For now that is achievable with any of us the target since you are currently outside its reach and none of us are close to it. Definitely don't want to try casting Bear's Endurance if you start inside its reach unless you can 5' step next to someone and be outside its reach for the casting. Don't know how things will look next round though. I'm hoping none of us end up smears :(

This part is kind of weird because you are supposed to believe that you stopped everything but still have some unanswered questions.

Though you 'stopped' the cult there are still new bodies showing up which means that the Nightmare Plague itself isn't stopped.

The strange key has some very strong psychic ties and you still don't know what it is.

Josef Barvasi took a very strange book that holds some very powerful answers from the cult

So it is still running off of some Hook Plots from before.
