Kali Altzairu |
Schadenfreude burns in a reinvigorated Kali's eyes as she looks at the fallen Pothes.
That guy's dead, right? That means my Soul-Drinker trait can come into play! I get temporary hit points equal to his hit dice for the next minute (or possibly 5 minutes).
Also, don't forget that Shem is still taking bleed damage from me....
2 rounds of bleed damage: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4
She then resumes her onslaught - that alchemist has proven himself worthy of a proper Kuthite christening!
Punishing Kick: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Boot to the Head: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Belier's Bite: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Make a DC 17 Fortitude save or fall prone, Lorenzo!
Also, *oops* - subtract 2 from that attack roll; I didn't realize I couldn't charge him (at least not if he's who I think he is).
Skybek Odeon |
Reflex Saving Throw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Round IV
Skybek looks across at his wounded friend, Quarr, and repeats his channel energy further enhancing the smell of this chamber into one of a brewery.
Channel Energy: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4) = 8
"Cayden Cailean, dae yae hae something stronger than pale ale? We can use some stout richt aboot noo!"
The dwarf then runs out with axe in hand ready to enter the battle!
Kali Altzairu |
It looks like you're a bit distant from Quarr - I'd move 20 feet downward, which benefits the rest of us to boot.
Khakil Alok |
Khakil should be 2E of where he is. I'll fix it when I get home.

Cott |
Cott has a deep appreciation for Kali's demonstrated brutality, and joins her in attacking Lorenzo. He circles around to flank the alchemist with her and, still following her lead, also aims a kick at the man, doing his best to disembowel him with a razor edged talon.
Talon: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 2 + 2 = 23

@ Skybek: I think that was your last channel, no? I count six used in the thread search.
@ Kali: it was Pothes that took the bleed damage, and he's the dead one (killed by Cott). You gain 4 temporary hit points. Shem is in the process of 1d20 + 2 - 9 ⇒ (5) + 2 - 9 = -2 dying over in the corner.
@ Quarr: Skybek's channel hits you, and you are awake.
Skybek provides some more healing and Quarr slowly opens his eyes, dumping a restorative into his thirsty mouth. Kali and Cott try to knock some sense into the nearby alchemist Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 but only succeed making him a bit bloodier.
Besai moves into the room and casts yet another spell on himself.
Lorenzo stays calm and stabs dino-Cott in the shoulder with his shortsword before putting his back to the statue in the center of the room. Even in his animal-mind, Cott notices the poison creeping into the wound...
Shortsword @ Cott: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 6 + 1 = 23 HIT Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 plus a Fort save!
Round IV - bold may act!
1. Shem (52dmg, unconscious, bleeding out), Livilla (7dmg, 4 images)
2. Kali ([38]/34hp), Skybek (40/57hp), Quarr (10/39hp, unconscious, bleeding out), Cott (30/49hp, poisoned, Jenny unstable), Besai
3. Lorenzo (23dmg, bleeding)
4. Khakil

@DM: You might want to adjust your records on Quarr.
Quarr |
Quarr stands up and hurls a bomb back at the alchemist.

@ Kali: yes, thanks! Adjusted HP but not conditions.

Fluff correction: Quarr slowly opens his eyes, dumping a restorative into his thirsty mouth pulling out a healstick and poking himself with it.

Khakil Alok |
Khakil's voices continues to boom over the commotion as his inspiration holds strong:
"We'll forge a new trail,
To the end of the tale,
Spreading stories and knowledge to all."
He advances 5ft south, joining Kali's side.
Being the stubborn bard that he is, Khakil tries to seduce Lorenzo again with another cast of Unnatural Lust (dc16), this time focusing the target as Besai.

Will: 1d20 + 0 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 0 + 2 = 20 SUCCESS
1d20 + 2 - 10 ⇒ (12) + 2 - 10 = 4
Lorenzo is unmoved by Besai's mismatched mustachios! Many-formed Livilla licks her lips, relishing the prime target her foes have presented for her. She conjures a jet of lightning that illuminates the skeletons of Skybek, Khakil, Kali, and Cott! In the next room, where Jenny roils in contusions of madness, several shelves and bookshelves catch fire from the bolt as it punctures the wall--not that the insane dinosaur has any hope of noticing.
Failure Chance, High is Success: 1d100 ⇒ 63 SUCCESS
Electricity Damage: 7d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 5, 3, 2, 4, 2) = 23 ...DC 19 Reflex save to halve
Quarr hurls a bomb at the alchemist, striking him in the head. The fire is too much for him to take and he too passes out--leaving just one foe behind.

Don't blame me; I got here first.
Lorenzo's bleed damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Reflex save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
reroll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Kali takes the agonizing blast in stride, and her eyes radiate malice as she turns on this final, worthy adversary.
Unarmed Strike: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

That is correct.
Miss Chance, Higher is Hit: 1d100 ⇒ 21 MISS

While Cott struggles to fight off the poison from Lorenzo's sword, he's zapped viciously by the crackling bolt of energy from the caster across the courtyard. Reflex: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 1 = 25 SUCCESS
The enemy mage does not fall prey to Khakil's tricks!
Moving up behind the cluster of fellow Pathfinders, Besai takes note of Skybek's healing power--keeping the party alive--and does what he can to ensure that Skybek can get to him. Not without grumbling, of course. "Stupid dwarves and their short legs!" Nevertheless, Skybek feels quicker than ever before. He cast expeditious retreat on you.
Shem bleeds some more into the dirt. 1d20 + 2 - 11 ⇒ (7) + 2 - 11 = -2

AoO's "interrupt" the normal flow of actions, but this only means they're resolved before the action that prompted them is resolved -- not that a successful AoO "negates" the action that prompted it.

Well now I'm confused. Doesn't expeditious retreat increase your speed by 30? Which, since you have travel domain, which bumps your base up from 20 to 30, would make your speed 60, so a double would be 120. What have I missed? Is Skybek insanely encumbered?
-Posted with Wayfinder
Skybek Odeon |
No, Skybek is not insanely encumbered, just his player's brain! Forgive me. That is my mistake. Longstrider has an enhancement bonus in base speed of 10 feet while expeditious retreat gives a 30 foot bonus. Skybek should have a base speed of 60 feet (20 foot base speed plus 10 foot travel domain bonus and 30 ft due to the expeditious retreat), not 40 feet. I have moved Skybek accordingly. Sorry for my hasting posting and confusion. :-)
