THREE 20's in a row! Are you fracking kidding me?

    Round 1

The normally quick footed rogue freezes in horror at the two huge ice trolls. He tries to juke left at last second but it to no avail. Kappi stumbles back, he doesnt even feel the pain of the ax blows but he knows it is bad. Part of his mind calmly thinks about dying right here on the icy floor. Maybe he will lie down and between the massive trauma, blood loss, and freezing ice, he will just fade away painlessly. Desna will welcome him on the great Road...
But the rest of his mind is kickstarted into reaction. He hefts an alchemical fire then throws it, hoping he can burn at least one of these monstrosities to death.

    Throwing attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
    Alchemical fire 1d6 ⇒ 2

Five-star Hound of Tindalos. Er, GM. Whatever. | RoW Encounter Map | A Fistful of Flowers slides

Kappi is woozy and doesn't think about the consequences of throwing something while threatened. Or even about which baddie he's targeting. ;-) But the barbarian took the blows for the rest of the party, and Kappi's missile lands squarely on the chest of Violet, exploding into a blaze across its blue skin!

ok well I think I have a grasp on what's going on... The dice gods are against us this fight so far. What is Anti-Jeffed?

Edwards eyes boggle at the viciousness of the trolls to the winter wolf, and Vojtek. He silently prays to Apsu while drawing the familiar wand. He touches the wand to Kappi while he feels the familiar flow of healing to Vojtek. His new boots help regenerate him like the trolls only much slower.

    CLW to Kappi: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Were the fire precision damage, I would agree; but it's not, it's an elemental effect, thus not "over and above a weapon's normal damage". If it were, you wouldn't roll extra dice for a weapon enchanted with lead blades, for instance.

But at any rate, the extra was one point. LOL

    Round 2

Some life brought back by the palacle's healing, the rogue perks up. Thinking they might actually survive this, Kappi throws another alchemist fire.

Ali and I have been having a debate over PM regarding the extra dice damage. In typical Paizo fashion, the rules are laid out ALL OVER THE EFFING PLACE rather than, y'know, one place to look. :=|

Be that as it may, Ali is right that the fire damage from her flaming blade doesn't multiply with the crit (though it should, considering it's a weapon quality and not precision damage...but I'm not winning that fight with my developer friends, so.)

Practical upshot: Kappi's second alch fire hits and does the damage already in place (since it is also just 1 point). Also, the second round of alch fire from the last shot was already factored in (see here), but the second hit means it's on fire again.

Vojtek's savage attacks miss, but Kappi's alchemist's fire hits!
