Juma takes a seat on the floor next to the grioth's head (or above it, from the prone grioth's perspective), then holds out his staff like a fishing rod, with the flaming end sitting about two inches above the monster's face. He then leans forward and uses the smelling salts.

Waking the brute, Juma speaks to the creature, but is only met with a stare. Then he hears a voice in his head.

Kaelic checks the door to the north and opens it to find a long storeroom. It contains old supplies used for bookbinding and writing. but nothing else of interest.

The corridor to the west leads to an otherwise empty room that contains three bedrolls and evidence of something like a campsite.

The room to the south contains metallic coffins with vents in their lids that form a line along the southern wall of this room. Numerous large stones are heaped atop the westernmost coffin, and a foul smell of decay fills the air. The ceiling is low, making the space feel cramped.

This room was once used by aspirant monks engaged in a grueling ritual of fasting and sensory deprivation. They would spend days at a time meditating in these dark metal coffins, an obscure practice performed by monks of Irori that has mostly fallen from favor.
