The ghostly form seems to strengthen from touching Juma, though the fighter lands as solid blow on the not so solid form, sending wisps swirling into the darkness.

Dagon merely watches the incorporeal figures in rapt fascination!

Using Juma as cover, Maffei darts forward and swings at the undead.

Kaelic produces flame in his hand!

Juma whacks the ghostly form as it moves through the walls! He then turns his staff against the other creature, hitting it once! The things turns to wispy shreds of nothingness! On his backswing, he manages to hit the blinded one again!

Dagon continues to be fascinated by the show!

Maffei steps over and slashes through the remaining ghost, destroying it as well!

Kaelic darts his head back and forth, looking for the ghosts, but then realizes they're gone. He looks down at his fireball in disappointment. "Well, maybe next time."
With his other hand, he produces a wand and begins poking Juma with it. "Trust me, I'm a trained professional."

Moving to examine the southern room, you find another dormitory. In the southern side of the room are two of the bat-like humanoids that attacked the auction. Seeing you, they move to attack!

"Great job Dagon!" Kaelic encourages after the fight. Finding nothing, he proposes, "Maybe we should go through that northern door?"
As the gnome finishes speaking, his fireball withers into a thin wisp of smoke and vanishes. He frowns and casts a spell upon himself. recharge!


Moving to the northern door, Kaelic finds it safe and opens it. Inside, a blue mosaic dominates the floor of this chamber. The ceiling rises to several domes twenty-five feet above. A large marble statue of a robed man with hair braided in a loop and worn like a necklace looks down on the chamber serenely from the east.

The mosaic on the floor is one of Irori’s symbols known as the Master’s Rebus.

Taking the concealed passage, you travel west for about thirty feet, then passage opens up, to another chamber. This dusty chamber’s walls are painted with fading frescoes of monks engaged in acts of acrobatic prowess. At the room’s eastern corner is a high-backed stone chair. On the stone chair sits a mummified figure clad in white robes, with a braid of black hair circling its neck like an adornment.

"Two thoughts on this. First, that's the old monk that kicked tail and ran off with the key. Second, he's not done kicking tail." Kaelic says as he pops a fireball and draws his mace.

Dagon detects no magic on the braid, its merely really old hair! He does detect magic from its amulet and belt though. As the party begins moving, the mummy looks up with cold, black eyes and he points a clenched fist at the party. Its gaze turns to Juma. "“I, Kanjougas, have waited for you. You must finish what I could not. Destroy the beast. Close the Dark Window. Return honor to this humble monastery.” He turns his fist over and opens it revealing a black key.

Taking a posture of respectful humility, he kneels formally before the mummy, holds out his own empty hand directly below the mummy's hand, and lowers his head.
