This is going to be run in campaign mode in order for everyone to get the fourth chronicle. That being said, I am completely open to any races, test classes, whatever....No 3rd party. This would be a good opportunity to test a hybrid class through level seven.
Twenty point buy, avg starting wealth or 150 gp, whichever is more.
Two traits...
I'd been holding out to either play this IRL, or with an awesome group.
Awesome group it is!
Thank you very much for the invite.
My initial thoughts are to play a Dwarven Ranger (going into early Eldritch Knight) that I have built but never played but the new arcanist is also tempting.
As soon as everyone is ready. I still have two open spots that I am waiting to invite. Any suggestions? Feral, Red, and Burglar are in another one that I started because we jumped into Derrick's PbP, but it is running slower than Fangwood, so now I'm running instead.
Being that this is campaign mode, I don't have a problem with anything really. You just may have to link me something, but I think I understand how your gaining early entry (I read something on the boards about it.)
Sure, I'll try and get my character up tonight. For that I will play one of the new hybrids. As you already know I'm GMing it (for Oladon, to return a favor) although I haven't read through all of it yet.

Pirate Rob here and ready to go.
A quick explanation of the Eldritch Knight Plan:
Eldritch Knight:
Spells: Able to cast 3rd-level arcane spells.
Weapon Proficiency: Must be proficient with all martial weapons.
Ranger provides proficiency with all martial weapons, while the Scrying Divination Subschool provides the ability to cast 3rd level spells by virtue of referencing clairvoyance/clairvoyance.
Meaning that the character will be Ranger 1 (with trapfinding from Trapper), Wizard 1, Eldritch Knight X.
Amusingly enough the skills I plan to keep maxed are: Sense Motive, Disable Device, Perception and Survival.
I have a Halfling hunter. Not sure how happy I am with him. May also try an Aasimar Warpriest. Seems we will be light on healing. Warpriest is not great in healing department, but better than a hunter.
So we have swashbuckler, an eldritch knight. Who was the 4th? That may swing me one way or the other.
I have a Hunter I've been fiddling with. Can't say how viable she's going to be, but looks like a nice class.
Putting the finishing touches on her now.

As a note I will have trapfinding if that plays a role in anyone's decision.

Looking nice.

Dwarf Reach Eldritch Knight w/Trapfinding
? Swashbuckler of pure awesomeness
Aasimar Archer Warpriest
My wife has a meeting this evening so I was feeling a little bored and thought I'd check out some stats regarding our characters after I noticed how strong we all are:
So we're not the brightest nor the most social bunch, but we're pretty decent elsewise.
Overall our stats are pretty balanced, We're pretty wise, I'm just messing up CHA with a 5 and we're not overly intelligent. I was surprised that Dex was our highest stat.
Also I'm glad you guys appreciated. After I posted I was worried I might upset somebody going over all the sheets.

Just looking at the two classes I'm playing... oh yeah. There's a good deal changed. Enough that I'm probably going to reprint it. Or at least keep a PDF on me. Thankfully for me, Lia doesn't change until she hits 2nd level. Some others got more of a workover. YMMV. Slayer is pretty much the same.

Looks like war-priest picked up full BAB with chosen weapon. Channel energy was replaced with more of a paladin-ish lay hands (fervor) ability.
The odd mechanism is that war-priest damage with favored weapon is tied to their level (like monk unarmed) rather than the weapon type. I guess that was for the dagger wielding war-priests.
Overall, improved enough. Can we keep these as valid PFS characters or not since this was a playtest?

We are in campaign mode, so we can do whatever the hell the GM wants. At the end of the game we get chronicle sheets that we can apply to a new or existing characters.

I'm impressed with the Warpriest changes. I was playing one in Wrath of the Righteous and frankly was getting very frustrated with it. The new concept appears more playable and still doesn't tread on the Paladin's toes.
Swashbuckler got a few new toys, as did Slayer. Still a little disappointed in the Hunter on paper, but am looking forward to Lia changing my mind.
I ran a Hunter through the Confirmation (Rob's). I didn't think it was too bad for level one, 0xp. I don't know how that would translate in higher levels though.

Right now I'm saving my Animal Focus for a better minute. I do like how they broke it up so the minutes do not have to be consecutive. Will be interesting to play with the teamwork feats. I like the animal companion accuracy or whatever. Not that it matters as precise shot is pretty much a necessity for all ranged types anyway... It's basically a good fighting druid class if said druid doesn't want to have to change into an animal to be effective. Which was Lia's character all along.

As a note I'll be on vacation from the 27th of December to the 6th of January visiting family. Posting once or twice a day shouldn't be a problem for me, but I won't be around all day as is usual. (Although the travel days of the 27th and the 6th may have no posts at all)
No problem. I'll be out of town Mon-Wed, and posting will be slow. I'll have a post up later tonight. Doing my typical last minute Christmas shopping, plus had two gamedays to try to organize today.
I will be leaving in couple hours to head out of town for the holiday. Posting will be sparse, but I hope to be able to post in the evenings. Otherwise, I will resume normal posting, Wed pm/Thur am. I hope everyone has a great holiday.
