Thanks Leastrie, now we'll see how this goes!

Baaldryn rushes forward and cuts into the surly looking drow as Leastrie paints his weapon with a glowing oil that turns radiant once exposed to the air.

The green-garbed drow weaves a spell that seems to increase the reflexes of the drow around him as the red-faced drow lashes out at Baaldryn.

The drow uses the rapier in his hand to strike back at the warpriest.

They can't disappear, they have the glitterdust dust sprayed all over them. They succeeded at their saves against it, which prevents them from being blinded, but the golden particles still give them the -40 penalty and the inability to turn invisible. I'll await confirmation from the GM before posting an action.

@Faldoc: Both of the spellcasters have cover relative to you and Improved Precise Shot only allows you to negate the AC bonus from cover, not the line that states "You can't execute an attack of opportunity against an opponent with cover relative to you." The melee fighter only took a 5' step.

@Rysalius: You are correct to an extent. They are visible because of Glitterdust, but they are invisible at the same time. You see a glittery outline of elvish proportions if you can see around the corners. It doesn't prevent them from turning invisible. It just prevents them from not being seen while invisible.

You're right, my words exceeded my thoughts - what I wished to imply is that we could still see their position and didn't suffer the miss chance from total concealment.

Faldoc looses the arrow and the drow falls to the ground, dead on the spot.

I use Hero Lab so I trust it to do the work. I believe we had Good Hope and Inspire Courage up, so that's in there as well. I also have a +3 Composite Bow (STR 14) that I use, not sure if you counted that. My deadly aim is -3/+6.

I'm now at 46/92 HP after that.

Faldoc will move out of the hallway and back to the safety of his party. He'll then begin to heal himself.

I'll do the average thing and use 9 charges, if permitted.

None of the papers are magical.

After deciding on the division of found items, the party heads in the only direction possible: down the tunnel in the room where the drow were studying the walls.

As you come through the tunnel, you see that, rather than hieroglyphs, the walls of this chamber are covered in mural paintings. They show a tall Osiriani man blasting enemies with magic, sitting on a throne in front of respectful servants, and even within a levitating or flying pyramid. The scenes with the pyramid alternately show it flying over joyous-looking farmers, fishermen, and so on, or over armed and armored soldiers, most of whom are shown fleeing before the power of the pyramid or casting aside their weapons and lying prostrate or dead.

As you haven't been particularly sneaky up to this point, as soon as the first one of you enters the 20' tall room, a large demon roars and engages the party. The fiend's armored flesh is scaly and moist. Its large, toothy mouth gapes below a pair of hungry, reptilian eyes.

Rysalius starts singing to bolster his allies' courage (inspire courage +2) then closes in while drawing his blade.

Rysalius knows that this is the feared Hezrou demon. The hezrou dwells in the vast Abyssal swamps, mires, and waterways, equally at home on land and in the water. The presence of a hezrou has an obvious effect on the nearby flora and water, causing plant life to twist and knurl and infusing water with a foul odor and brackish taste—signs much easier to spot on the Material Plane than the Abyss. Long exposure to this corruption can cause vile transformations and hideous deformities. Often, entire backwater communities of deformed mutants owe their twisted countenances not as much to incest and poor breeding as they do to a hezrou's proximity. They are very resilient to attack, fully resistant to poisons and electricity, semi-resistant to the other elements, and incapable of being beset by most magicks, unless cast by a strong mage. Their skin is magically enhanced to resist all weapons except those that emanate an aura of holiness.

Leastrie weaves through the reach of the creature and strikes at the beast, but his attack glances off the thick skin, while Rysalius is less lucky to penetrate the reach of the beast.

The creature lashes out with his teeth at Rysalius as the man moves in close to the beast.

Save the spell on Boomer, he's dead. I just realized he can't make the con save.

Faldoc's face turns very serious as his companion expires. He then taps the heels of his Boots of Speed, takes a quick step and fires! Including +4 for favored enemy evil outsider, PBS, haste, etc.

The demon begins to babble incoherently to everyone in the area as the sound assaults your very essence. Blood begins to pour from your ears and nose as the sound gets louder.

DC 21 Will Save and everyone is paralyzed regardless of save. Hint: Leastrie-If you fail this save, then you die.

Waiting on the subtier question to be solved before acting.

It was a CL 13 Blasphemy spell that is just mean as a 10-11 could still easily have a 7th level.

As soon as the chanting begins, it stops as the creature tumbles over. The creature form turns from that of a Hezrou to a smaller, deformed Vrock and begins to glow with a red and black aura. The pulsing light seems to get stronger and stronger as the creature's body begins to bulge and disfigure.

Rysalius sees this and knows what is about to happen. "Everyone! Back up the tunnel! It's gonna blow!" The team barely has time to fly up the tunnel to where they fought the powerful drow before the explosion rocks the pyramid and sends the group careening into the walls.

As the dust clears, they see that Baaldryn is gagged and tied up in a corner. Yushua looks confused, but hurries to release the man. Baaldryn explains, "Once the drow had 'killed' me, I was released from an illusion and three other drow kept me trapped for testing. You have been fighting glamered things..."

A bark emanates from down the tunnel. Boomer bounds up the tunnel and pounces on Faldoc, licking his face a couple times. He is a little singed, but no worse for the wear.

When you gather everyone, you notice all your wounds are non-existent, as if it had never happened. It never happened!

The explosion seems to have been an illusion as well as there seems to be no damage to the room. Two doors remain open.

Yuhsua looks them both over for traps (taking 20). If either is locked, he'll go for the unlocked one first.

after getting untied, Baaldryn collects his things and spits on the ground..."Infernal drow with their tricks. Let me collect my thoughts."

The only door is open and Yushua does not see any traps on this or the hallway leading east.

1d2 ⇒ 1

A quick perusal through the door and the group only finds alcoves. At the end of the passageway, a mummified body sits on a throne.

Knowledge(History) DC 25:
This is most likely a minion of Aram-Hul, rewarded for his service with mummification so he can serve his master in the afterlife.

In each of the alcoves, an arrangement of canopic jars containing the mummy’s preserved internal organs sit on pedastals.

The hallway branches off into another large room similar to the one where they fought the Vrock demon. The south end of the room has a door, but the door seems to be locked with a magical power.

The only way left to go appears to be a small hallway in the center of the pyramid.

Baaldryn inspects the jars and the mummy but only for a moment as he lacks knowledge in these areas. While the rest of the party is contemplating the objects, he stands watch, not trusting the dark magiks or the drow of this place.

After a while, the party seems content to enter the last placed that they haven't searched that doesn't seem to be guarded by abjuration magicks.

Going with the person with the highest AC in the front.

Faldoc leads the way through the last door and reveals a small chamber. This large, oddly-shaped room has openings in the floor and ceiling for the large fountain of light. On the far end are two large floor tiles, each bearing a single hieroglyph—one shows a snake, the other a bird. Both tiles are surrounded by smaller hieroglyphs and magical symbols, with additional writing on the far wall. A large book lays on the floor nearby next to a pile of Osiriani objects.

A drow draped in the raiments of Abraxas, demon lord of magic and forbidden lore, stands at the two large tiles weaving incantations. A large drider stands near her and sees the Pathfinders enter. "Ssssssister. We have guesssssstsss..."

The magics erupt in a brilliant, but harmless explosions as she turns and faces the Pathfinders. "Glad to see that the Society could join us. It seems you have killed or maimed most of my siblings and children..." she states calmly, too calmly for the words being spoken. The drider's eyes widen at that knowledge.

Even the most clueless observer in this room...:
realizes the family resemblance (particularly the cheekbones and hair color) between Jevana and the drider or driders present, and that all the other driders look related... and realizes that all of these things are related to her.

A small duegar cringes next to the woman. She undoes the chain attached to the collar around his neck from around her waist and lets it clatter to the floor.

"Well... are we doing this?" she asks, almost bored.
