I have heard this one is the most challenging of the three, but otherwise don’t know much about it.

Also … I don’t think we’ve heard from Jakarno since last Sunday, hopefully he’s OK.

Yeah, I may change my two 2nd-level spells that I got for my level up. Trying to think of what will be useful.

Lin, if you’re taking suggestions on 2nd level bard spells, maybe take a look at Glitterdust.

Blindness makes for a pretty good de-buff. Will save negates but no SR – which is nice.

It’s kinda silly but I went through an accelerated/abbreviated version of the ‘5 stages of grief’ over about two hours when I lost my Level 2 PFS bard to a TPK. Then I dreamt up Eadie and away I went again!

Yeah, it was a bummer losing Frunobulax - but I'm basically going to remake him using GM/pre-gen credit. I'll change the name, of course, but I just like the idea of the half-orc bastard inquisitor of Gorum.

So, kind of funny and sad: One of our local game stores has cut down the number of PFS events due to poor hygiene among the participants.

Red Harvest is a 7-11 isn't it? I'd be interested to hear if you think it's any different/harder running higher tier scenarios. I've only done 1-2's and 3-4's so far.

It turns out I may not get to run - not many people have signed up. So I may end up playing. If that happens, the only scenario being offered is a 5-9. Would it be alright if I used Linnea for it? Since we haven't really started yet? I could run a pre-gen, but would rather run an actual character.

That's no problem. I'll be in Chicago this weekend, so won't be posting much, if at all. I was sorta dragging to see if Jarkano would show. So play Linnea, just don't get her killed. What scenario?

It's #2-07: The Heresy of Man—Part II: Where Dark Things Sleep. I haven't played part 1, so that's kind of a bummer. The other scenario that is being offered is Dalsine Affair - which I just finished playing (and getting slaughtered in) with EndlessForms.

I will be gone, yet again, this weekend. Leaving in an hour and will return tomorrow night. I'll update tomorrow night.

I ended up running Red Harvest. Things went well - they played in the 7-8 tier, but had a 10th level fighter that pretty much destroyed quite a bit of the enemies.

But I do need more 1-5 Tier scenarios under my GM belt before doing high tier again.

I’ve GM’d five f2fs now and enjoyed every table very much. I can craft a story outline for the players to drive OK but my in-depth rules knowledge (even at low tiers) still needs work.

Yeah, it was the rules for me. Even reading through the scenario 3-4 times - it was just so hard to keep track of all the spells and tactics.

I've noticed in lower-tier scenarios, the NPC combat tactics are a little more spelled out. That's what I needed more of in this. But, I imagine that for higher tiers, one would expect the GMs to know a lot more about effective tactics.

So... I'll stick to running low-tier stuff. That, and I really need to pick up a Bestiary.

'Twas the night before Candlemark, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a bulette. . . .

Anyways, I haven't looked at your Gameplay thread but this whole fight is supposed to be a cheat, as the Big Scary Orc has a link up with one of the other orcs who is constantly taking half damage and healing himself. We didn't know that of course, but expected some sort of trickery. The half-orc barbarian (not a typically barbarian build, mind you), reassures us that it will be alright and that he won't even get hurt going up against this guy. We were skeptical until he pulled high initiative, did something (I can't remember what) as a move action to make the guy shaken, then let out a Terrifying Howl as a standard action and made the Big Scary Orc panicked for something like 3 rounds. He drops his weapon and runs away and the entire tribe proclaimed our half-orc as their new leader for making their old leader wet himself.

It was the best way to handle that encounter.

Good story. That is a fantastic way to deal with the encounter.

When they re-issued the cartoon on DVD, my friend got it for me for Christmas. So what I would do is run an episode 15 min before game start to have run while people would show up. After 5th one, my players (jokely, I think) said they wouldn't come back if I had the D&D cartoon going if they showed up. =v)

I went to a weekend work party once as a new graduate. I could tell it was going to get a bit untidy and so I left pretty early. Apparently in the early hours of the morning, one of the less popular junior managers passed out on the host’s floor after having a wee bit too much to drink. Some of the boys decided it would be a great idea to shave his eyebrows off …

At work on Monday he looked permanently surprised. He tried wearing an Akubra bush hat (kinda like a cowboy hat) to try and cover it up, but in the office environment it just made it worse.

Niiiiice...we did that multiple times in mty frat in college, but we would always draw on the sharpie eyebrows afterwards. Jeez...that was soooo long ago...LOL.
