Greetings. Tektite has invited me to join your team. I can bring in a level 2 war priest who just leveled to level 2, who has a great sword and hits reasonably hard. Or I an bring a level 4 cleric of Sarenrae, who has a good AC and selective channeling but does not do melee. If the table is going high I think you will want the cleric. If low my war priest would be great. Let me know.
Loenor Shalothas |
I think either of those would put us to the high tier, though converted for 4 players. Unless my math is off?
With the war priest,
17 / 6 < 3 but would put us high with 4 player conversion.
With the cleric
19 / 6 > 3 which would still put us high 4 player conversion.
So either way. Personally, I'd be glad for the heals, hahaha. But go with what you want to =)

Well, I am glad I discovered this now and not later. Preparing my cleric to play I found the chronicle for this mod in her stack. I must bow out. Sorry that I made this mistake. :( I hope you have a nice game.
EndlessForms |
Did someone call for a sixth player? I can bring a level 4 sylph sky druid or a level 4 oread monk.
Loenor Shalothas |
That is correct.
I've forgotten how social this scenario is. Why do I always bring the 10 Cha characters to weddings, dinner parties, and funerals?! =P Ah well. May be able to BS my way through some of it. Will make for some nice roleplaying, at least!

Gen Con Warning!
Starting tomorrow through Sunday it is highly unlikely that I will read or post due to Gen Con. Please bot as appropriate.
For those of you who will be at Gen Con, I hope to see you around the Sagamore ballroom. I am going to be acting as Overseer for the Friday night special, Legacy of the Stonelords and I expect a good time will be had by all*!
*Optimistic expressions of enjoyment are not to be confused with character survival.
EndlessForms |
Yep! I'll be there as well. GMing all day Thursday and one each day after that. I'll be playing in Friday's special, see you all there!
Súrë Hísië |
Heading off to GenCon and won't be able to post much for the rest of the week-weekend. I know Tek will be there too but just wanted to alert everyone that I might not be around until next week.
GM Tektite |
Back from GenCon! Had a great time, though was tired yesterday.
Got to see Mr and Mrs Endless Forms again this year!
It was totally awesome to finally meet Rapunzel aka Kreighton Shain at GenCon. (He totally has long hair like Rapunzel, and the ears!)
It was also one of my highlights, as well, stepping out to say hello to Mike Shel during the Friday night Special, even if a good number of the things he's written has my PC on the floor unconscious.
Now to put my head down and get my PbPs in order and moving along again.
Rapunzel |
It was really cool to meet you both, even if only for a few minutes! Here are a few pics my wife took before I left the house dress up as Kreighton. It was an amazing honor to get to run the Special for so many excited players. From what I could tell the feedback was very positive and the event well received!
Mike is very friendly and loves to meet players and especially GMs of his works.

Yes! Our table had a blast. Too bad I couldn't talk longer than a few seconds but my paladin was busy getting beaten unconscious. Again. And his axebeak died. Again. Our table wasn't having the best of luck but we still had a great time.
And I like the flower. Really makes it Kreighton. Whenever I give a mission from him I always pause randomly during the briefing and stare off into the distance and then say, "Oh, sorry! I thought I saw a butterfly. Now where was I?"
Rapunzel |
When the Paizo staff came in after the ENnies, James Sutter came up to me and says "Are you dressed as Kreighton Shaine?" I pointed to the flower and he goes "That's so AWESOME! I MADE YOU!"
Good times!
Súrë Hísië |
Ha! That's awesome!
Súrë's airheaded personality is loosely based on how I imagine Kreighton Shaine. He's always described as sitting on the floor or on top of a table or absentmindedly sitting by a tree or flowers or something. So I usually think of him as a bit flaky and loopy. One of my favorites though, for sure.

No day job for Sure. He spends his free time collecting bugs and having dinner with Miss Feathers in Kaer Maga. And this game pushes him up to level 5! Only one more level before he spends most of his time wildshaped into a bird.

Day Job - Scrivener: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Thanks for the run! This actually levels me up as well, I believe. Will get to updating tonight.
And reapplying mythic goodness.

We have only the conclusion to wrap up. You guys can start posting Day Jobs and PFS #'s. I'll get the chronicles out today and we can start up the Destiny of Sand pt 3 in a day or two after you apply your chronicles and Fastenhyme levels up.
YAY thanks everyone for getting Fast to 3rd. Free dry cleaning coupons for life!

This was a lot of fun GM Tektite, thanks for running!
Oh goody! I level to 4 also, that means my hair gets to constrict now! w00t w00t!

Note: Endure Elements does not prevent fatigue in any way.
Rapunzel |
In case you haven't seen it elsewhere, there is a PFS/PbP survey that just got launched. I wasn't part of putting it together, but I like data. I feel like people can make decisions based on data. Feel free to add data! (Or not).
Loenor Shalothas |
Note: Endure Elements does not prevent fatigue in any way.
Incorrect. Heat exposure leads to heat stroke and fatigue. Endure Elements equals auto save in heat (to a certain extent), meaning no fatigue.

Súrë Hísië |
Not fatigue from mummies or things other than environmental causes though, which is what I thought you were implying. In fact, not even all environmental causes; it doesn't prevent fatigue from altitude sickness, for example. Restoration is really the only way that I know of to get rid of fatigue from any source.
Loenor Shalothas |
The fatigue from this mummy was from an aura of heat. I'm not saying it's an anti-fatigue wand, just situational that would have been nice at the wake.

Súrë Hísië |
Ah, ok. Yeah, it was a variant mummy so it won't prevent fatigue in all circumstances. It's still a handy utility to have around and I have a couple characters who have wands and scrolls of it. It's too bad it doesn't get rid of it once you have it though but if you've got a wand just preemptively use it at the beginning of every scenario.
GM Tektite |
Sorrt for the delay. Session has been reported and everyone should have their chronicles.
If everyone would "ping" the Destiny of Sands thread, just so I know your showing updates. I will then close this one down.
A side note: I am taking the family camping this weekend, so we won't start DoS III until Mon.
