Ernest continues to be in his element and Snouts evades (improved-ly!) Ernest decides to move x and cast Web, to encompass as much of Chelsea's hallway/group of enemies as possible, which should prove easy given the numerous anchor points. He selects the fervor of Silent Spell, so he can continue to be king sneaky!

Still can't edit map for forseeable weekday future, but 10-ft hallways are pretty easy to web. Just get all the bads and some delicious, burnable cover for the in-melee sorceress. The hostage got out of breath weapon, I hope?

@GM Tektite, that is awesome! I just hope nobody from the evil GM club is lurking or your application to join might get denied :)

@Cleaver, if you’re staying in the cloud, you can full attack (ie I don’t think you’ve rolled your iterative attack). You can also take an extra (third) attack at your highest BAB plus all the fruit, if you want to take that option from Blessing of Fervor.

As she flies back towards Brachus’ healing burst, Luisila hears Varg’s call.

My he is a stubborn one … But she can’t help a small smile. “Cleaver, if you’re gonna stay in that cloud, after you've hit that thing can you please take a 5’ step closer to Bray so he can heal you?”

She looks down at the adept of the Accidental god. “Bray, have you still got that rod of reach in case Cleaver starts throwing up?”

Your right Chelsea, he was grappled.

I think Ernest is correct, and I was thinking about it today after I posted. What I have found, leads me to believe either, a)he couldn't have targeted Chelsea, or b)she gained improved evasion.

    What I found:
    Cover wrote:

Total Cover: If you don't have line of effect to your target (that is, you cannot draw any line from your square to your target's square without crossing a solid barrier), he is considered to have total cover from you. You can't make an attack against a target that has total cover.

Improved Cover: In some cases, such as attacking a target hiding behind an arrowslit, cover may provide a greater bonus to AC and Reflex saves. In such situations, the normal cover bonuses to AC and Reflex saves can be doubled (to +8 and +4, respectively). A creature with this improved cover effectively gains improved evasion against any attack to which the Reflex save bonus applies. Furthermore, improved cover provides a +10 bonus on Stealth checks.

    LoE wrote:

Line of Effect: A line of effect is a straight, unblocked path that indicates what a spell can affect. A line of effect is canceled by a solid barrier. It's like line of sight for ranged weapons, except that it's not blocked by fog, darkness, and other factors that limit normal sight.

You must have a clear line of effect to any target that you cast a spell on or to any space in which you wish to create an effect. You must have a clear line of effect to the point of origin of any spell you cast.

A burst, cone, cylinder, or emanation spell affects only an area, creature, or object to which it has line of effect from its origin (a spherical burst's center point, a cone-shaped burst's starting point, a cylinder's circle, or an emanation's point of origin).

An otherwise solid barrier with a hole of at least 1 square foot through it does not block a spell's line of effect. Such an opening means that the 5-foot length of wall containing the hole is no longer considered a barrier for purposes of a spell's line of effect

I could see an argument that there are holes in the webbing, but here it is a mute point, because Chelsea would have made the save and not taken any damage.

As Varg approaches the dretch, it seems to be ready and uses some sort of spell like effect. DC 11 Will or become frightened.

    V Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Varg laughs off the demon's paltry attempt and destroys it with a single swing!

Ernest avoids getting entangled and begins casting, while poor Snout struggles against the webs.

Linnea becomes entangled and can't free herself!

Brachus becomes entangled as well, and then channels healing energy to most of the party!

It takes some effort straining against the webs, but Brachus is finally able cast Freedom of Movement on himself and can again move around freely.

    Brachus hearing Luisilla's plan nods
"I'll get you some short term flight Varg, You just need to get a bit closer."

I'll cast Fly on Varg next round (if he hasn't jumped the pit by then, or something else happens that makes me change my plan)

Fine...never wanted to be a birdie, though.

Varg after receiving the buff from Lu, moves next to Brachus.

    Have at it, friend.

Ernest's spell finishes and a swarm of monkeys materializes. The seething, screeching mass climbs into and out of the pit, engulfing the daemon! Meanwhile, Ernest grabs his companion and shifts to the west!

    AoO: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
    Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 2) + 4 = 7

The daemon snaps its jaws at the mass and comes back with three or four mangled monkeys in its maw!

    Daemon Fort!: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

The mass of monkeys overwhelm the daemon, but it manages to keep it composure despite the hundreds a biting mouths and feces throwing!

Luisila casts a spell on Varg, allowing the Ulfen to go commando!

Brachus in turn, mimics Luisila's spell, allowing himself to go commando!

Varg then moves up next to Brachus!

    Linnea and Chelsea!

Sorry, sorry... things got hectic these last few days really unexpectedly. I kept thinking I'd be able to post and catch up, but sadly it never happened. Lu, I couldn't watch the video linked, but found one that is available to watch in the states. I remember watching that as a much younger Signboy - and at first being very disappointed that the same band that sang "We Will Rock You" were responsible. Ah, but time has brought with it a greater appreciation Queen's whole oeuvre. The sentiment certainly fits, though my favorite shall forever be "Don't Stop Me Now."

Linnea struggles further against the insidious webbing.

    CMB: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Oooh! I think that'll do it.

Linnea moves out of the webs.

Lingering performance. Everyone gets their +1 to attacks and damage for 2 more rounds.

    Fort: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
    Ref: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Chelsea screams at the daemon and rolls a ball of fire on it! The creature seems to resist both the scream and seems unfazed by the fire, though its ear bleed a little more.

Linnea breaks free of the webs and moves to the north, letting her inspiration linger!

    Round #9: Bless 7/70 ; Copycat #1 FINAL ROUND ; fly 6/50

Luisila flies 30’ above the Adept’s webs to the ceiling and lets fly an evil outsider bane arrow at Chelsea’s daemon.

    Twang! + Bane + Bless + PBS + Inspire: 1d20 + 10 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 10 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 31

Bane weapons act as a +3 weapon, so overcome DR/silver and cold iron, GM Tektite. Luisila has Precise Shot.

Luisila looks to have a clear shot and avoids soft cover because she's at the ceiling.

Luisila flies up and fires an arrow, striking the daemon solidly as the arrow sinks deep into it's chest, but the creature still stands!

Varg flies across the pit with the aid of the spell.

Not certain if you need a check for this or not?

He negotiates the webbing without slowing down as he attacks the daemon.

Please move me on the map. My work will not allow me to do so. Thanks

Brachus taps Varg, giving the barbarian the ability to fly!

Varg flies like an actor on a set of stage wires, arms and legs flailing, but gains enough to control to sink his axe into the daemon, ending it!
