Grim Dougal |
Grim looks fuelled even further with the shedding of blood, the clash of battle clearly a period of worship for him in service to Gorum.
"Send this Evil home!"
Grim & Misfortune switch to full attack/Power attacks
Misfortune smiting Evil, which we ASSUME it is...?
Grim:
Attack 1d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 7 + 4 = 22
Damage 2d4 + 13 ⇒ (3, 1) + 13 = 17
Misfortune:
Bite 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 4 = 24
Damage 1d6 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 4 = 13
Claw 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 4 = 12
Damage 1d4 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 4 = 9
Claw 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 4 = 20
Damage 1d4 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 4 = 11
*If the target of smite evil is an outsider with the evil subtype, an evil-aligned dragon, or an undead creature, the bonus to damage on the first successful attack increases to 8 points of damage instead of 4.
Zorlax |
Zorlax tries to Detect Evil on the fetchling,
"Good instincts barbarian," as Zorlax takes a 5 ft step
Smite Evil on fetchling
Power Attack Greatsword: 1d20 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 3 = 16
Damage: 2d6 + 6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6, 2) + 6 + 3 + 2 = 19
Ignore the +3/+2 on attack/damage if not evil, if evil add +3 AC for a total of 19
GM Tektite |
Zorlax moves up and attacks the fetchling, but the humanoid dodges out of the way at the last moment.
Grim and Misfortune combine there swings, tearing into the fetchling and bringing him down. That was quick!
Out of Combat!
The fetchling falls to the ground, mortally wounded. The party finds a potion of cure serious wounds, a ceremonial dagger, belt of giant strength +2, bracers of armor +1, cloak of resistance +1, an onyx ring bearing the same rune that is branded on the slaves, a copy of the Penumbral Accords, and a key.
Using the key, the party is able to free the Blakros twins and the slave in the last room. Though freed, the twins remain in a trance. Investigating the room, the party examines the Wightir Conjunction.
The 10-foot tall black stone pyramid exudes an eerie black essence
from its apex, which seeps into the air and slowly dims the illumination of the room, but not enough to change the mechanical light level. Surrounding the relic’s apex are a dozen bloodstones set into the rock face, from which a strong aura of conjuration and illusion emanates, when Slypher or Beleg detects magic.
After much consternation, the party is able to deactivate the Conjunction, at ehich point the twins awaken from their trance. They thank the party profusely and ask that you escort them from the museum.
Examining the ceremonial dagger, the party finds that it has a sinister
curved blade. Runes along the length of the blade in Infernal speak of the Midnight Lord, and a sacrifice that will bring shadow to the multiverse. The Midnight Lord is a reference to Zon-Kuthon.
The party escorts the twins to the Grand Lodge, where Dreng commends them for a job well done. He then reaches into a pocket handing you a letter. No rest for the weary! He say with a grin. Reading the letter, you see that the Society already has another mission for you. The mission entails helping one Grandmaster Torch locate a lost minotaur prince in something called the Delirium's Tangle, if you choose to accept it.....
The End!
Day Jobs would be appropriate at this juncture.
If everyone is in for Delirium's Tangle, I'll get the thread up sometime later today.
Grim Dougal |
I'd be up for DT, but Grim just hit 5, I should probably tag Takahiro back in for the next session. As a bit of notice, I will be heading away on the 27th for about ten days... that be long enough for DT?
Beleg the Galtan |
Nice work!
Beleg will discharge his blade on the foul fletchling, just to make sure he's dead.
elecricity: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5) = 16
I don't think I've played Delirium's Tangle, but I'll have to double-check. It doesn't sound familiar.

It was on your and Asuna's lists of things not played yet, hence the choice. But with you guys, you could have played it in the intervening time! ;)
Asuna Senko |
I am good for DT. I only played specials this past weekend. Still need to find somewhere to get Day of the Demon in though. It is the only one I missed down there. Thank you for running again Tektite.
Beleg the Galtan |
Nope, haven't played it! I knew it was on there last time I posted my list but I just wanted to double-check. I'm quickly running out of low-tier stuff I can play. Although I think I may have only posted 1-5 last time and there are a few 3-7 that I could play too.
I should be ready to go soon. I don't think there's anything pressing on Beleg's shopping list.
Zorlax |
How does playing pregens and crediting it to another character work? I played defenders of nesting swallow as kyra lvl 4, maybe I can give the credit to Zorlax to make lvl 3 for the next one.

You can apply pregen credit to any character but technically I think you have to wait until the level at which you played the pregen. So you'd have to wait until Zorlax is level 4 to apply that chronicle to him.
That being said, if the GM didn't write "played level 4 pregen" on the chronicle, there's really no way for anyone else to know you played a pregen for that scenario. . . .
