Dejik strides boldly into the cave with the group following. The cave is quite large, and heads straight ahead for a little while before veering sharply to the right. As it veers to the right, up ahead, some flickering light can be seen.

Dejik:

The feelings of anger and determination grow stronger.

You gain a +2 to hit and damage while in this cave.

Map will be up later tonight. You're currently in a cave and see light up ahead.

.

The group gathers along the wide hallway. Flickering light illuminates a staircase, which presumably leads up to the temple. The cave is cold and barren; any water that once formed it is long since gone.

Map is updated.

Sarkast gives Ayesha and Dejik a moment to cast any long-duration spells they may want while drinking another of his potions, then approaches the temple, daggers out and senses peeled.

Dejik has limited access during the day with her new job, so she might not be able to post until tonight.

Sarkast takes another Elixir of Vision. I can't tell if there are doors and whether they are closed; if there are, Sarkast will check them for traps and locks and listen for sounds (take 10 for 39 Perception). He will attempt to bypass any he finds (take 10 for 25 Disable Device, roll for me if that is not sufficient).

Before the cave:

Dejik listens to Sarkast explain his concerns. One year ago, I thought I knew all about how the gods guide our lives. Now, though... She shakes her head. We've seen people refuse to follow the gods and live with the consequences. And we've seen servants of demons turn aside from evil and seek salvation. Everything influences our choices, but I don't know that anything controls us.
She smiles. Of course, I seem to serving two different gods now, so perhaps I'm not the best one to give advice on this topic.

Dejik moves up and waits for Sarkast to open the door, readying her bow for what might be beyond it.
Readying an action to shoot at any hostile creature when Sarkast opens the door.

.

Dejik starts to check around the corner but pulls back as she spots people. Sarkast, the far stealthier of the group, takes a peek.

A short flight of stairs flanked by two statues leads up to a thirty-foot-wide opening in the northern cave wall, beyond which the worked stone of a large chamber lit by flickering red torches looms. The ceiling rises a further thirty feet. The room is dominated by a floor-to-ceiling statue of a goat-headed demonic figure seated in a lotus position on a seven-foot-high stone platform, also flanked by statues, against the northern wall.

Within, six armoured people wearing helmets designed to look like a bull's head mill about. The glaives in their hands give them away as Templars of Baphomet.

"Six of them, eh? I guess we need to coordinate a little better than we do when we fight one particular opponent. I can cast Haste before we move in, but we'll need to move quickly - see what I did there? - after that, because the noise from the magic will likely give away our presence."

Sarkast nods at Ayesha and prepares for her to cast her spell. Once she (and Dejik, if she is casting a group buff) has done so, he looks at Nilus so the two can enter together.

Spiderbeard, I only see four on the map, is that intentional?

.

Yeah - the additional two are out of sight but can be heard thanks to Sarkast's elixir. Behind the statue.

OK, posting this now but have Dejik's action come first, so that if she casts a buff I'm in range, or if she fires her bow I'm not in the way. If she does cast a buff, add in any appropriate bonuses.

Once Ayesha's spell takes hold and everyone is ready, Sarkast charges into the room in a blur.

Free action to start bloodrage, swift action to spend a mythic point for Fleet Charge, then full attack on the unmarked templar. Assuming they are flat-footed, I'm rolling sneak attack on all of the attacks. I'm also assuming they are human, but if they are evil outsiders, they take an additional 1d6 damage (I've been forgetting that part of my bloodline power).

Okay, we've got a surprise round THEN a full round. So your actions may not resolve as planned. I'll parse this out.

Sarkast: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Templars: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

You move in as Ayesha's haste spell goes off, giving everyone incredible speed as they rush headlong into their opponents. Sarkast rushes into combat while Nilus enchants himself with heroism.

You spot beyond the statue two more templars in a separate area, rushing forwards. One rushes up while another beside Nilus responds to the surprise attack with a swipe of his own, which is parried.

Attack vs Nilus: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 12 + 2 = 16 Damage: 1d10 + 7 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 6 = 15

GM, using works like "butchering" and "slaughtering" makes it sounds like we're not doing the right thing taking out Baphomet's servants. Stop making us have moral dilemmas! ;-)

To be fair, I was not expecting my first round to be quite so effective ...

Sarkast nods gravely at Dejik's comment. Still somewhat tired from the fight but energized by Ayesha's spell, he slips quietly to the curtains to listen and peek through.

Taking 10 for 28 Stealth (while moving half speed at 65 feet - mythic is ridiculous!) to go up to one curtain, then the other. Take 10 for 31 Perception to listen, then pull the curtain back slightly and look in. Since Ayesha extended the haste, we should have a good minute or two left. Sarkast manages to peek behind both curtains without being spotted. The adjoining rooms appear to be barracks.

A row of four beds, each with a footlocker beside it, lines one wall of this barrack. The walls are covered in carvings that depict humans being tortured by demons or horned minotaurs performing lewd and profane acts in a vast labyrinth.

Both have hurriedly finished donning their armour and are watching the curtains. They fail to spot Sarkast peeking around since he's all sneaky.

Ayesha split the healing potions evenly among the group, leaving the holy symbols in a pile at the foot of the statue. At Dejik's words, she tossed her hair behind a shoulder and looked around. The chill that her shawls could never really seem to overcome was strong enough that she was certain Dejik was right. Something here was rotten.

As Sarkast led the way, she fell in behind him, sword at the ready. She tried to maintain enough distance between them to support the scout if trouble happened, while being far enough back as not to give him away.

That's my plan, anyway. GM, please adjudicate actions, surprise, and initiative and let me know how it actually goes down. Also, please let us know how many rounds passed for Ayesha's haste spell and Sarkast's fatigue. ;-)

Where are we on round count since the end of the last fight? I need to know when my fatigue is gone, and we're counting Haste rounds. If you are going to track that privately for "fog of war", just let me know. I'm assuming I'm fatigued until you say otherwise.

Sarkast pushes through the second curtain and runs around the small room, leaping up onto a bed to threaten the person in front of him. "Your companions laid down their lives, do you feel the need to do the same?"
