Is there a GM Walkthrough?

Grand Lodge 4/5

As in an actual step-by-step process for everything for the incredibly new GM to PFS.

Namely things like:
- all the variables for applying GM credit to new/old characters, how complete the scenario is before you can apply it (ie. TPK vs. unfinished), non-Confirmation style scenarios being ran over and over gives credit/does not give credit, etc
- creating events, the event numbers (and needing to make new ones each time or allowed to reuse the old ones), etc.
- creating society numbers for new players and getting them set up.

Probably not to be honest, but the GtPFSOP is pretty helpful on some of these.

I think people are already helping with this on another thread. Regarding TPKs: the actual result for the players is irrelevant for the GM credit; the GM still gets full rewards. This is so GMs don't have a vested interest in making sure the party succeeds, and therefore aren't tempted to hint or cheat in their favour.

Go to My Pathfinder Society, click the 'GM/Event Coordinator' tab, click the 'Create Your Event' button (under the Create New Event' section).

Fill in the details (the main one to pay attention to is 'Event is Public', which sets whether the event appears on the event listing or not). When you save the event, a number will be generated for it.

There is no problem with running a recurring event (like a weekly club, or an infrequent meetup at someone's home) under a single event number.

Go to My Pathfinder Society, click the 'GM/Event Coordinator' tab, go to the 'Pathfinder Society Cards' section at the bottom and click the button to reserve ten cards that you can print and hand out. Note that this section only appears once you have an event created.

The new players can then create an account using the PFS number and confirmation code on the card.

Welcome to GMng for PFS! Thank you for helping out our community.

IN addition to what PAZ said, there's a handy link in the "My pathfinder society" that is a FAQ for creating and reporting events.

I always open it up when I'm reporting events (since I do it rarely). I find it very useful.

Here is the link:

... dang it. that link isn't working. Just trust me (and not my web-fu) that it is there under My Pathfinder Society, in the middle of the one paragraph about Society play. THat paragraph has links to multiple useful PFS things.

Best of Luck and thanks again for GMng.
