"Soraaaaan!" cries the sorcerer as he slips forward, headlong into the human's knees. Flailing about, and trying to crawl away, Krestin sees the statue, and tries something that he hoped would work. A blue figure bolts from his hand, in the shape similar to a fox, speeding around the room, zipping around everyone's legs before slamming into the creature.

Ferabras swings wildly with his sword, missing the statue as it steps away. With a feral snarl, he steps closer and bites at the wooden giant!

A couple more blows and the statue ceases moving as its internal workings lose their magical drive! Its shields drop to the ground as well. These shields function as tower shields; they are poorly designed and weigh 60 pounds each. Anyone wielding one is considered flat-footed in addition to the –2 penalty on attack rolls suffered by all characters wielding a tower shield.
Was going to go by init order when resolving everything, elsewise that's a nasty AoO on a prone Krestin for crawling in threatened area.
Out of combat
Now, despite the statue's demise, the stairs remain as a slide, requiring you to climb back up them. Additionally, there is a door to the south which proves to be locked.

"Good job, you guys! Nothing can stop you!"
After ensuring everyone is okay, she says "We should try to get through that door...who wants the honor?"

Soren nocks a grappling arrow and looks to see if there is anything at the top of the stair/ramp to latch it onto to aid in climbing.

Ferabras collects the other large shield, in case it’s needed somewhere else in this strange place.
He then sets his shoulder against the locked door and tries to force it open.

It is only an alcove. Since this a flip mat, rather than an original map, some features may not be fully as they appear. Additionally, I'm away at the moment. Will update fully when I get home.

Craggor, as he looks, notices that it could have simply been unlocked. Perhaps with the key which was retrieved from the pool.

This small chamber has a table on the opposite side of the room. On top of this table are a number of items, each with a small note attached. The notes each have your name written on it!

"Presents?! Krestin always likes presents! Come friends!" Krestin seemed overjoyed once he saw that there seemed to be gifts for the group, especially with their names on them. Tail wagging, the kitsune's face was beaming with a smile as he started to grab the items with his name.

Ferabras hesitates in picking up the items meant for him, asking the group, "How do they know our names? We introduced ourselves to Roldare, but he seemed too frightened to do anything but cower. And they knew our names back in the village, but it wouldn't make sense for them to come here and give us such gifts - we're here on their behalf, so they would not need to come here. This is very strange indeed."

Heading back, you find the door in question is locked. The key from the pool does not seem to fit the lock. Maybe it can be found somewhere else?

"Yes yes, we should check all the doors!" he says with enthusiasm! Krestin was still happy at the new items that he had received, and hadn't thought that his agreeing may be a good idea.

Ferabras says "Keys, schmeys..." He sets his shoulder to the door and gives it a tentative nudge, then steps back and drives his shoulder at it much more forcefully.

Ferabras hurts his shoulder on the door. Then again, with more pain from the stronger impact.
As the party moves around the crypt and finds another door. At least, you think it's a door? There appears to be a seam in the wall, but there appears to be no means of opening it. No latch, no hinges, just the seam. Strange! Best keep looking.

Having had some luck with this approach in the past, Taliesin squeezes past the lovely Taliesin in the hallway, then sets his shoulder to the most recent door and gives a shove.

The door opens easily, not being locked. This small chamber is mostly empty, save for the body of a villager being pushed by a man-size beetle in the corner.
And the man-sized beetle pushing said body into said corner. It turns as the door is forced open and clicks at you menacingly

Having successfully forced open another door, Ferabras is dismayed by what he finds on the other side of it. "Unhand that, er, unmandible that unfortunate soul!" he cries out, stepping up to the beetle and swinging his blade!

Krestin follows, hearing Ferabras shouting at the...... thing. Stepping into the room, the kitsune sees the bug and yelps, rushing into the corner of the room before casting!

A blue light seems to hit the beetle, as Krestin finishes his casting!

Lini casts Guidance on Droogami and moves into the room. Droogami moves adjacent to the beetle for a crunchy snack.

Then Droogami shows them how its done by taking a bit if a nip off the bug's carapace, though its many legs prevent it from falling over!

"It, it still moves?! NO! YOU NO HURT FRIENDS!" Krestin shouts at the top of his lungs and a bluish fox shoots from his hand. Running about the room, and jumping from floor to wall then ceiling, the little fox made of energy slams into the beetle!
