Well, if all of the priests didn't know we were here before... They do now.

Soran's arrow ends the priest as he falls with a thud. You can hear movement from below, as well as movement from behind the big doors.

"Seems we may have to fight on two flanks...or should we just attack one of the groups now to not get cornered in...?" Hoshiko asks in a labored breath

Mikail looks at Hoshino with a very uncharacteristically serious look and replies "Forward. This is not a defensible location, and if we stop, we will be caught between the hammer and the anvil."

"Should we push this statue down the stairs to block them from coming up?"

a familiar glint appears in Mikails eyes at Hoshikos suggestion. [b]"Can we?!?!?!?!"[b] he asks, reminiscent of a child in a sweet shop.

"We should keep moving," Ferabras says grimly, his eyes intent on the double doors behind the statue. With a sympathetic look at Mikail, he adds, "With any luck, we'll get to push the statue down on them when they're coming up the stairs after us. But for now, we shouldn't waste time."

He moves to the double doors, then gestures to Mikail, "Care to take a look and see if they've set any surprises for us?"

Opposite the grand mask stands a pair of tall double doors, made from shining silver. Carved into their surface is the symbol of Razmir, beneath which dozens of supplicants are portrayed holding up piles of coins, jewels, and other wealth to the icon of the Living God.

Perception checks!

Hoshiko walks towards the double doors while scanning the area for any more ambushes or threats...

Mikail looks about the door, but cant help continuing to think of the great spectacle of rolling the statues down the stairs onto the oncoming guards. Thus distracted, when he considers the aftereffects of such actions, it is no small wonder that he reflexively gags, his unconscious jerk accidentally pushing on the door.

"Right, let's keep moving," Ferabras says decisively, stepping forward and opening the door.

Boom!

A blast of freezing cold erupts from the door, hitting everyone save 1, Zolarus, 2 Mikail, 3 Soran, 4 Hoshiko: 1d4 ⇒ 3 Soran! Everyone else gets a Reflex Save DC 13 or take 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 5, 2) = 14 cold damage! The door swings open...

This room has many doors, three on each side and a pair of double doors opposite the entrance. In the center of the chamber, a twostep dais serves as a base for a sculpture made up of dozens of masks, carefully forged into a humanoid shape. Quite suddenly, a voice booms out from the chamber asking, “Who are the true gods?” Just as suddenly as the voice came, all is silent.

FWIW, I thought we were opening the door right behind the statue, marked as T18. But we'll roll with this approach.

Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Ferabras reels in surprise as the blast of cold hits him, though his infernal blood does shield him from some of the frosty damage. "I thought we all looked at the door and agreed it was okay..." he mutters, drawing a wand from his belt.

As the voice booms out, he says quietly, "Probably some kind of pass phrase - but which gods could it mean? Don't they worship Razmir? Unless their gods are money and power, as they seem to be."

He taps himself with his wand as the others consider how to answer the booming voice.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Status: 26/28 (Resist Cold 5 means he took 9, healed 7)

Reflex: 1d20 ⇒ 15

CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Zolarus heals the frostbite with his wand and offers it to any of his injured companions. He ignores the question until everyone is fully healed.

Anyone have Knowledge Religion? I'd imagine it is a trick question though.

The map is somewhat misleading. That's actually a big stained glass window. The door is opposite. Sorry, didn't realize the mis-communication.

No problem, that explains why there doesn't appear to be anything on the other side of that door by the statue.

Everything about this place is a trick. I expect the question is as well. Though, money and power seem to be the right answer, knowing these guys.

Hoshiko dodges the blast...
"I am at a loss... maybe it was something in the lectures..?"

Mikail gets a hold of himself just in time to jump out of the way of the blast of cold. Looking up, he grins at his companions "Guess these priests are really cold hearted!" Mikail turns back to his work, just as the eerie voice booms out over the room. "Should we say Razmir??"

Looking at the statue to see anything about how it works or anything odd, as well as trying to see if there is anything else in the room/noise from the doors

The statue is a humanoid figure made up of dozens of Razmiran masks. It's posed as if reaching down to pull the viewer upwards.

Ferabras says dismissively, "We could spend all day speculating, there's only one way to find out if we're right. Much as I hate to say these words..." He says, "There is none but Razmir," then grits his teeth and takes a step into the room.

Hope nobody minds, figured one guess is as good as another, and my son (master of Golarion lore) suggested that answer.

Soran shrugs.
Go ahead Fera. If it doesn't work for you, I'll try something else.

Ferabras speaks out boldly. Nothing happens.

Then the pile of masks moves. It slithers off the podium and forms into the shape of a medium humanoid and moves to attack!

Round 1:
Mask Man!
Heroes!

The mask creature moves with a sinuous grace and spins toward Ferabras! Suddenly it lashes out! CMB: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 It misses, but Ferabras gets the very odd feeling that it just tried to slap a mask onto him!

Heroes are up!

Ferabras steps further into the room to give his companions room to maneuver, commenting to Soran, "I was guessing we would only get one shot at that little game."

As the strange statue begins to move and attack, he calls out, "Anyone know what the heck this thing is?" He swings his blade powerfully, then bites fiercely at it for good measure.

Well, not too bad. 30 points with sword, probably only 8 with bite.

Bless is probably still in effect as it lasts for 2 minutes and cast last battle.

Zolarus attacks the masked foe.

Hoshiko steps into the room after hearing Ferabas attack something and then sees the mask statue moving... she charges her sword again using a point from her arcane pool and swings at the foe...

DMG: 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 = 12

"Yikes! Mikail squeaks as the statue comes to life before them. He slides through the doors, stepping behind Hoshiko, and then comes forward to meet the creature.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (3) = 5

Soran steps up to the door and fires off a shot.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Ferabras seems to encounter damage reduction, but still managaes to carve long cuts into the mask-man. Zolarus doesn't encounter DR, but Hoshiko does! Unfortunately Mikail and Soran fail to connect!

Round 2!

The mask-man, feeling the cuts, lashes out! One slam goes toward Ferabras and the other towards Mikail!

Slam: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 damage vs Ferabras!
Slam: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 damage vs Mikail!

and then takes a 5ft step to the NW as she prepares to go around the dias...moving around the dias to let Soren get into melee range and the elf will make her way next to the tiefling...

Frustrated that his weapon is not having the full effect, Ferabras redoubles his efforts, hitting the mask-monster hard!

Zolarus steps aside to give his archer friend a clear shot and attacks the construct.

Soran fires off two more shots, growling in frustration from missing the first one.

Mikail keeps poking away at the creature, a feral snarl escaping his canine maw.

With a flurry of blows the masked thing falls, falling apart into nearly a hundred masks that fly and slide across the room.

From the door to the south of Ferabras, you can hear the sounds of a man pulling armor on!

Ferabras grabs hold of the door knob and attempts to open it!

Feeling some resistance from the lock, he sets his shoulder against it and shoves!

Str check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

If I'm able to get the door open with a move action, I should have a 5-foot and a standard left, so I'll five-foot and attack:

The door crashes open to reveal a small room, cell-like in many ways, with a man in robes hastily trying to pull on studded leather armor. He abandons the attempt as Ferabras swings at him, cutting him deeply! The man has his rapier, but his light shield lays on the bed beside him!

From behind Hoshiko to the north, another door barges open, revealing another Razmiran also in his dressing gown and armorless, but wielding a rapier and light shield!

Mikail and Soran are up!

"Looks like we are teaming up again!" Mikail says to Hoshiko as he steps up beside the door and pokes his rapier through the doorway at the half dressed man.
