As Ralph concentrates, he can most certainly feel that there is someone or something there. He concentrates more, 'Hello,' Ralph thinks at the stone, 'Is there anybody in there?'
After a moment, he hears in his head, 'Yes, hello. Who are you?' coming from the stone. 'I am here to help.'
Ralph Cauthorn |
GM..Silbeg |
'I am Meavelm Iberakon, and I am proud to serve the Pathfinder Society even beyond my death. I have also heard that Skyreach has been breached by Adril Hestram, and he is on his way to kill Shemis! You must hurry, and save her!'
Ralph Cauthorn |
GM..Silbeg |
'As for your ordeal, I heard that you had been killed as part of this attack. I am glad to hear that you were able to overcome that condition.
'Are you planning on donning your mask before you head out?'
Ralph Cauthorn |
Ralph withdraws from the ioun stone to consider its proposal. He notes that the soul had said 'your mask' instead of 'a mask', and realizes that if he answered affirmatively, he might be expected to know which mask actually belonged to Eddington Keel, and there might be repercussions for choosing wrongly, he decides to err on the side of caution. His decision made, he focuses on the ioun stone again.
"That will not be necessary. Guide me to the faction rooms first. There is something there I require before I confront that bastard Adril Hestram."
Géatan Émond |
"Well we have a venture-captain who is missing."

Géatan Émond |
"So we need to enter each of us to a specific place? "

GM..Silbeg |
'I believe you leave the room to the left, but I am not 100% sure. The cloakroom is though the alcoves.'
Koraq Dragonclaw |
Did I find a body going into the shadows? And if so, any useful loot or notes on said body
-Posted with Wayfinder
GM..Silbeg |
Koraq pulls out the body of person, who now looks like a half-orc that you have never seen before.
Assuming that Ralph will take the time to go over this stuff...
On him, or next to him, are:
- +3 chain shirt
- +1 kukri
- +2 short sword
- ring of protection +2
That isn't just the list of things that were magical, or of high quality. It is literally all he had on him.
Auris Deftfoot |
"Desperate times for him, I guess."
Géatan Émond |
"This loot could be sell and use to buy équipements for farmer."
-Posted with Wayfinder
Géatan Émond |
Géatan streches his body. Well, let's look at the other corpses to see if there something else.
GM..Silbeg |
There are no other corpses
Options:
Try one of the portals,
Go through the false portal
Go north
Ralph Cauthorn |
"We're not here to play with the portals, and if the Ten are this paranoid about security that they set up their foyer in such a manner, I cannot imagine that their portals are not warded to an even greater degree. Let us head North."
Koraq Dragonclaw |
"Yeah, I'll follow the smart one here.", Koraq following his arcane ally.
Auris Deftfoot |
"Hey, thanks Koraq. It's nice to be appreciated for once." Auris quips, leading the way into the northern passage.
GM..Silbeg |
The party moves forward (Please note what you'd like your marching order to be on slide #2, and please fill in the skill checks on that slide as well, please)
In the center of this small circular chamber rises a pillar of pale white ether. Within the column twist the ghostly forms of thousands of silently screaming angels. There is a large room to the east, a door to the west, and two corridors to the west.
Ralph Cauthorn |
Ralph reactivates his ring of invisibility and goes invisible, and continues to reactivate it every minute to ensure that he remains concealed.
"The faction rooms are likely to be to the West."
Auris Deftfoot |
"Oh good, I can go find out what Major Indiscretion wants me to do and ignore him as usual."
Géatan Émond |
Yes, let's follow the plan. By the way, Ralph what was those sigil back there? Says Gaétan will he drink his potion of barkskin.
GM..Silbeg |
The group ignores the screaming angels in the pillar, and goes to the west. Moved you all forward. Please move yourselves where you are going, in future, so we can keep this thing flowing! There is a door to the south, a hallway to the west, and one to the north.
Géatan Émond |
Wait... screaming angel? Could we return to see this? It could be a clue.
Ralph Cauthorn |
Ralph flies further into the room and says to Geatan, "go investigate if you wish, but remember we are here to rescue Shemis. This is Skyreach, not some lost dungeon we need to chronicle for the Society. Our job here is not to uncover all the Decemvirate's secrets. I wish to move on!"
Géatan Émond |
Géatan just gives look at those statues.
GM..Silbeg |
They are actually not statues... more below
Géatan takes a look at the pillar of ether. He can see what appear to be the ghostly forms of thousands of angels, screaming in agony. Momentarily, one stops, looking back at Géatan, curiosity on its face. Quickly, however, its face turns to pure agony once more, as some unseen force seems to be torturing the good soul, and it turns away once more.
Ralph can see a corridor going around to the southwest, with a pair of doors on the eastern wall. The symbol of Qadira is on the doors... clearly the room for Pasha Muhlia Al'Jakri! He can make out other doors along the corridor, which appears to be the outside wall of Skyreach.
Géatan Émond |
Géatan don't feel confortable about this. Poor. Soul. His left hand goes to touch the pillar but he stops before he does it.
Should I touch them? It this a trap? an illusion? Erastilien culture prone to not wake the bear when he is asleep. If this do not concern directly your community, this is being a fool.
So i will just tell the other. I hope there some fool with me.
He returns telling what he saw to the other. Really don't like the idea of this thing behind us.
Ralph Cauthorn |
"The room of Pasha Muhlia Al'Jakri. As good a place as any to start," Ralph mutters. Reactivating his ring of invisibility as a precaution he scans the door for magic. If there is none, he tests the door handle to see if it will open.
GM..Silbeg |
Ralph is easily able to open the door to the Qadiran faction room. Interestingly, there appears to be shimmering curtain at the entrance. The others, standing around the corner as they are, notice nothing but what he has said.
Géatan Émond |
Do someone have a link to Quadira and could tell us his mission? we could help.says Gaétan.
Auris Deftfoot |
Auris activates his ring, moving invisibly down the hall, checking each door for traps.
Koraq Dragonclaw |
Seeing that half the party is now out of visible spectrum, Koraq quips, "Safe ta move forward?"
GM..Silbeg |
Sorry, had a hellish few days at work, but I am back.
Auris Deftfoot |
"Yeah, looks clear. Just watch out for the second tile on your right." Auris calls back.
Géatan Émond |
"I got a call. sorry i will need to go to find a special room."
-Posted with Wayfinder
Koraq Dragonclaw |
"What does that foppy SOB want now... tell ya, wouldn't surprised if someone just cuts his head off!"
GM..Silbeg |
Each of you makes it into your respective faction rooms. In there, you see a small library containing general information, and what looks to be pre-published journals. In the room is also one half of a small, rough-cut geode rests on a brass stand, the color of which matches your faction color. You all quickly realize that by focusing on it for a moment, it will operate as a sending, and you receive your faction missions.
Auris Deftfoot |
"For once, this might be an agreeable mission." Auris mutters as he steps out into the corridor.
GM..Silbeg |
Each of you have received your faction missions, and now may continue onward. Which way would you like to go next?
A: Unexplored room
B: Unexplored Ballroom
C: Door or hallway
D: Pillar of Screaming Angels
Ralph Cauthorn |
I would start with 'A' since there is no door there. But I am invisible and not opening the door, so I will leave that choice to the one who will tank the trap.
GM..Silbeg |
Group moves to A
This room serves as an observatory for guests. Facing north, its broad windows allow viewers a stunning view of Absalom and the surrounding isle. The walls are decorated with framed maps of the Inner Sea, sky charts, and various instruments of astronomy and navigation. Three dead people lie strewn across the furniture, their throats slashed and their equipment stripped.
Please confirm your marching order - top is front.
Auris Deftfoot |
Auris picks his way across the battlefield invisibly, looking for traps or signs that the bodies aren't just bodies. Assuming nothing jumps him, he'll sound the all clear.
GM..Silbeg |
Nothing jumps out at him
No one recognizes the bodies, though they are missing all of their gear. You figure that at least some of it was what you recovered from the half-orc.
Are we opening the door to the east now? Where Auris is standing?
Auris Deftfoot |
"No problems here. We continuing through the door, or backtracking?" Auris asks in a low voice, trying not to be too loud and alert anyone on the other side.
